Age of Adepts

0972 - Tough on Hard

The Sacred Boundary might be able to block other magical elements other than the Sacred Light from coalescing and shaping, but it obviously couldn't shield the Elemental Demon Armament, a type of semi-summoned metal puppet.

After breaking the bones and tendons of the 2nd rank Silver with a single punch, the Elemental Demon Armament roared and rushed towards the sacred hall with earth shaking steps.

The black iron knights encountered along the way were ignored by the Elemental Demon Weapon, who simply burrowed in and rushed inside. The dozen or so 'Holy Light Bombs' and 'Holy Light Cuts' that were filled with the power of the Holy Light hit the surface of its metal body, but apart from the sparks and clanking sounds, they were unable to damage its core.

As it charged, both the dazzling divine arts and the Paladins who bravely blocked its way were all crushed to pieces on its impenetrable metal body.

A silver knight heard the movement outside and rushed out of the hall with his sword in hand, just sternly shouting, "Who's pounding here..."

Before he could finish his sentence, a face-palm-sized steel iron fist smashed into his face with a whistling harsh wind.

The Silver Knight barely managed to seal his longsword in front of him before it and his body were struck together by the iron fist into a shockingly curved form. As a mouthful of blood spurted out, the Silver Knight flew back inside the hall again with a loud whimper from where he came and went.

The Elemental Magic Armament also rushed into the Sacred Hall without stopping.

This hall, originally, was just an armoury. Now, all the armaments and wooden frames had been removed, and a huge magical formation had been carved out on the floor of the hall.

When Elemental Magic Armament and Grim entered the hall on their front and back feet, this magical formation was still in continuous operation.

The holy and vast power of holy light flowed and extended in the formation, vaguely resonating with the nearby cathedral. The milky-white divine power outlined a magical and mysterious formation in the air, and every time it circulated, it would overflow with an inexpressibly powerful power fluctuation.

The Elemental Demonic Armament was at the edge of the divine formation and hadn't felt much. But as soon as Grim stepped foot here, he felt that the flame energy in his body suddenly became slightly disordered, becoming no longer as arbitrary as before.

The two Silver Knights who stayed behind had just picked up the fellow who was having trouble even standing, and their eyes first fell on the tall and powerful Elemental Armament, then on Grim.

"What man? Who...who the hell are you?" A tall silver knight snapped harshly, clearly confused by Grim's outfit.

That's a lot of crap....

Grim sighed grudgingly and snapped his fingers.

"Give me a smash...a hard smash!"

He could see very clearly that this Sacred Dharma Formation was almost entirely powered by high-grade magical beast crystals. Of course, there was no shortage of the faith accumulated by this Sacred Light Chapel over the past few hundred years.

Compared to the Sorcerer's World, the formation here was still too crude, it didn't even have a basic guardian witch formation. Of course, it was possible that these holy knights were too superstitious about their own force, thinking that three silver knights were already enough to guard this place.

Then, they would have to pay the price for their 'negligence' and 'carelessness'!

The elemental magic weapon that weighed up to ten tons didn't need to be deliberately destroyed, and with heavy footsteps, it ran inside the sacred formation and twisted around, and the blue stone slab that carried the formation shattered in pieces, destroyed beyond destruction.

With the base of the formation damaged, the mysterious light formation floating in the air disappeared with it, and Grim, who was close at hand, immediately noticed that the flame energy in his body had returned to normal.

"Ah... you villains, how dare you destroy the formation, leave me all behind..."

The two Silver Knights were so jaw-dropping at the sight that they each drew their swords and planned to rush up to fight for their lives.

In front of them, Grim, who was dressed in a black iron knight costume, looked up and smiled coldly, and the fierce and violent flame energy in his body exploded once again.

In almost the blink of an eye, Grim expanded like a balloon into a 6 meter tall, terrifying fire giant. His armor and clothes instantly vaporized, and the surging flames circled and swallowed around his body, the top of the pillar of fire licking the roof of the hall, and soon burned a huge hole there.

A vast and powerful pressure burst out from the fire giant's body, making it seem as if the two silver knights were walking against the wind, and it was so difficult to take a step closer to Grim.

The extreme heat and terrifying flames quickly filled the entire hall, and the clothes and hairs of the two Silver Knights began to rapidly wither and vaporize. Even though they condensed thick holy light to protect their bodies, they could still perceive the skin of their violent leaks tingling and withering and cracking piece by piece.

They opened their mouths to roar and shout, but what they spat out was a stream of crimson flames.

They wanted to charge and move, but found it difficult to move an inch.

Looking down, the soles of the silver boots beneath their feet had melted and softened, sticking together with the red-hot white floor. The exquisite armor on their bodies and the long swords in their hands had also turned into semi-liquid iron like red-hot wax, never to be seen in their original form again.

Just as a few of the Silver Knights were screaming in fear, Grim casually threw over a Berserk Fireball and instantly exterminated them.

Stage 2... these ordinary, featureless Stage 2s fell into Grim's hands, it would still be as bad as they wanted to be? What's more, with the addition of Soden's Holy Ring, any attack by Grim would come with another 400 degrees of divine attack.

How could such a terrifying attack strength be borne by a few 2nd rank Silver Knights!

As for whether or not holy attacks could harm holy knights, that was even more of a hypothetical proposition.

Just like Grim being a fire witch, was it possible to be completely immune to fire damage? Other sorcerers can't hurt him with fire sorcery? This is a slur on elemental witchcraft!

Grim being a fire witch, it was just that the flame resistance was higher than that of an ordinary witch. If the opponent inspired flame damage beyond his resistance tolerance range, he would be harmed by the flames as well.

By the same token, Paladins were only good at manipulating and dispelling the power of holy light. However, when faced with the holy light inspired by others, they would still have to take the corresponding damage, but it would just be diminished to a different degree.

However, with the power of Grim's Stage 3 Berserk Fireball, coupled with the 400-degree divine attack, even if it was reduced, it wasn't something that these Silver Knights could handle.

Thus, the violent shockwave after the fireball burst washed over the entire hall like a stormy wave, while the three Silver Knights were charred and blackened in the wave of fire, burning into a pile of charcoal.

At this moment, a swift white lightning blazed out, splitting a huge X-shaped gash in one side wall of this hall. And a tall knight with a full body armor and stomach stepped forward, the slit beneath his protective visor radiating berserk fury.

And in his hand, the strange longsword was swinging with a layer of milky, pure holy light.

"Grim..." apparently from that Lena, the Paladin Commander already knew the name of the Fire Witch before him.

"Lambert, thank you for waiting!" Grim stood tall, knocking through the crumbling wall with his massive body and appearing on the other side.

Ever since the sorceress had been transported to Hessas City, Commander Lambert had actually foreseen the scene before him. Only, the other party's brutality and recklessness was still beyond his expectation.

He couldn't understand why the other party, who was also of the 3rd rank, had such strong confidence to break into the Holy Knights' quarters and go on a killing spree here.

Could it be... could it be that these 3rd rank wizards from a different realm were that much stronger than them, the 3rd rank golden knights?

Yet Holy Light could never give him a reasonable explanation.

Just as Lambert was wielding his glowing sword to have a go at this daring 3rd rank fire witch, the elemental magic weapon that was standing beside Grim like a loyal little brother roared and met the Paladin commander first.

Grim, on the other hand, took the opportunity to quickly copy a flame rune in the air with both hands, chanting even more deafening spell syllables in a loud voice. As he quickly cast his spell, a circle of spatial ripples quickly gathered above his head, and then condensed into a temporary spatial wormhole.

At this stage of Grim's rapid spell casting, a dozen or so heavily armed Silver Knights gathered around him, and one by one, they bravely rushed to Grim's side despite the burning field, frantically breaking down the dense flaming shield on his surface and the two circling lava shields that were haunting his body.

Unfortunately, they still couldn't tear it down fast enough!

With the end of the last spell syllable, the spatial wormhole quickly formed, and a hideous and terrifyingly huge dragon flapped its azure dragon wings and appeared in front of everyone.

"How did you summon me again so soon? Grim, I still haven't recovered from my last injury..."

As soon as it emerged from the wormhole, the 30-meter-long dragon raised its neck and let out a heaven-shaking and thorough dragon roar, and a profound dragon power swiftly swept through the entire Holy Light Chapel.

It was obvious that these natives of the Enwik Dimension had never seen a living dragon before, so it was impossible for them to understand this obscure and difficult to understand buzzword dragon language.

"Hmph, why don't I see you complaining when you take benefits, and you're just pushing it when you're told to do some work. You can see for yourself! It's a new city... You'll have more time to gather wealth if you finish the fight early..." roared Grim, who was transformed into a fire giant, loudly.

"Huh? A new city... it's a new city, but... it doesn't seem to be as big as the previous one!" With the huge mental power of the 3rd stage Thunder Dragon Ames, it only needed a slight perception to detect the concentration of life within a few miles of the surrounding area.

Thinking of the last time a city that huge, I only robbed a city hall and two or three residences before being forcibly sent back to my original location by the bit power, that blood dripped in my heart....

So today, suddenly discovering a new treasure trove in front of it, the euphoria within it, so tormented, just don't mention it!

With an owl roar, Ames opened its mouth a terrifying thunderbolt grid and covered the battlefield, while its dragon wings restrained, pouncing on the Paladin commander like a fierce knight.

Although Dragon Language magic was convenient, it was still more reliable to want to quickly resolve battles with your own strong body. As for whether or not melee combat would bring some flesh damage... that question no longer existed in the eyes of the financially obsessed Ams!
