Age of Adepts

1001 Chapter 1001 - Strong Rotting Blood Rain

The witch is coming!

It was definitely the remnants of those witches playing tricks on their backs, otherwise it would be impossible for the strength of the swamp creatures here to injure the Paladin team in the slightest....

The seven golden knights leading the group instantly figured out what was behind them and drew their swords and began to add a wide range of holy light protection. A brilliant holy light shone from the head of the team to the tail of the team, almost every individual's body and outside of the body overflowed with dense and indefinite radiant holy light.

All of the swamp creatures belong to the dark magic creatures, once they enter the scope of the holy light, the dark power in their bodies will boil up like sulfuric acid, but they burn themselves to a miserable scream.

The weak and fragile ones stumbled like headless flies under the milky white holy light, and then their entire bodies began to melt away as if they had been immersed in strong acid.

And one by one, the evil souls that had lost the protection of their filthy flesh* bodies were turning to ash under the burning of the pale white flame!

For a moment, the swamp creatures' attack was interrupted.

Brushing....

A series of holy lights blossomed around the team with almost no gaps, and any evil enveloped by the Most Pure Holy Light would be reduced to ashes under the burning of the pale flames. Whether it was an old devil woman hiding in the muddy swamp, or an extremely difficult to kill sludge monster, they all retreated in defeat in front of the purest holy light, revealing the true face of the lowly and cowardly demons.

In addition to the demons, even the poisonous swamp filled with the stench of filth was also losing under the holy light. Two very different energies collided together, the divine power and darkness entangled with each other, either annihilating or devouring, there was no possibility of coexistence.

The mud pools and swamps under the holy light continuously emitted wisps of black smoke, which then quickly melted into the endless holy light. Immediately, these swamps, which were originally soft and muddy, became dense and hard once again, becoming a solid road that could be stepped on at will.

As for those demons and monsters that lurked in the depths of the soil, they were also purified.

How could the combined attack of the seven golden knights be defeated by this group of demons and monsters? The remaining ones howled miserably and hid in the distance where the holy light could not shine, cursing the damned intruders with the most vicious and filthy language.

In the deepest depths of the gloomy and terrifying swamp of the poisonous land, a circular stone altar was slowly functioning.

More than a dozen tall or short, fat or thin, strange figures were standing around the altar, silently waiting for something.

When the surging divine power in the edge of the poisonous swamp rose to the sky, a snake-shaped dagger suspended above the altar began to slowly spill out a strange sorcery rune. These runes were each lingering with a lingering, thick, evil aura, immediately triggering the resonance of the Bloody Altar, and the entire Poison Ground Swamp seemed to become even darker and more gloomy.

"Seven power burst points... it seems that those seven golden knights have all entered the poisonous swamp!" An old-faced fraudulent witch looked up at the distant holy light that illuminated a small half of the sky and silently sensed it.

"It's best if they all come in, it's time to make them suffer too!" Another fraudulent witch sneered faintly.

Over the past few years, many of the Fraud Witches' sisters had fallen under the 'butchering knives' of the Paladins, so when the opportunity to exact revenge arose, the Fraud Witches present were all elated and comfortable.

"Start it up, those outer swamp creatures won't be able to hold them off for long! Before they break in here, let them have a taste of the 'Strong Rot Blood Rain'..." the 3rd rank Tess Witch hissed and ordered.

The five rank 2 witches stood at various corners of the Bloody Altar, silently channeling their power into the interior of the altar. The Bloody Altar hooked up with the mysterious witch formations that lurked all over the Poisoned Swamp and began to slowly project this powerful and evil power out.

They might still be in the clouds here, looking as if nothing had happened. But seven or eight miles away, at the edge of the swamp, the world had changed drastically, becoming a place of death where life could not stand.

The sky, already gloomy and dim, darkened once again.

The gray scent of death and black evil power escaped from the earth and mixed into the thick, damp and heavy mist, causing the light within the poisonous swamp to diminish to the point where one couldn't see one's fingers.

A burst of fishy, unpleasant rain fell from the sky, hitting the slippery, muddy swamp mire and splashing red water flowers.

Many Paladins looked up to see, only to discover to their horror that what was falling was not normal rainwater at all, but a blood that was filled with corruption.

When the blood dripped down on the armor of the Paladins, it immediately sent out a moaning noise similar to that of being soaked in strong acid. If it landed directly on their skin, the surface of their skin would begin to swell and fester in a piercing pain, and then a terrible sound of flesh and blood eroding would be heard from within.

If not treated with holy light, not only would the skin on the surface and the flesh and blood inside be pinned away, even the bones wrapped around the muscles and tendons would be corroded and brittle, and then the entire body would collapse like a sand tower.

"Hold up the holy light protection... don't let the rain of blood get on your skin!"

The high-ranked Paladins shouted loudly, and a radiant holy light lit up here and there throughout the ranks, wrapping every Paladin in a cloud of milky white holy glory.

Before the blood rain that fell from the sky could even stain the body of the Paladin, it was purified away by the haunting holy glow, no longer able to damage their body in any way.

"Forward... keep moving... quickly get away from this area of blood rain..."

Under the command of the seven golden knights, one holy knight held up the holy light strongly against the erosion of the blood rain, one foot high and one foot low as they raced forward along the newly condensed path. The path of holy light gradually began to loosen under the erosion of the overwhelming rain of blood, and had the appearance of being transformed back into an evil swamp.

Although the rain of blood from the strong rot did not kill any of the Holy Knights, it effectively depleted their reserves of holy power. And along the way, in order to take care of those Black Iron Knights to the greatest extent possible, the seven Golden Knights had to maintain the divine spell 'Sacred Light Universal Illumination' for a long time.

This loss of power might not feel like it mattered right now to the Golden Knights, but when they stepped into the heavenly net that the witches had laid for them, I'm afraid they would regret their current 'recklessness'!

Still before that bloody altar.

Tess, the 3rd rank witch, smiled coldly.

"They've made it through the strong rotting blood rain one, let's see what those rotting voodoo beasts can do next! Liv, it's up to you to do the rest!"

"Don't worry, Lord Tess! These witch beasts have been powerful enough after the past few days, and it's just time to open up the Paladins..." a pale and stiff-looking witch, who seemed to be wearing a mask, whispered in response, turned around, stepped onto an unusually large swamp lizard, rushed into the mist and disappeared in a flash! Traces.

Grim was watching clearly from the sidelines, a 2nd rank witch who was good at concocting witch beasts.

"Liv's witch beasts have been strengthened, but it's impossible to cause them too much damage. You guys, immediately launch the Bloody Altar and attach another 'Tear', 'Bleed', 'Retard' and other sorcery effects to all the carrion voodoo beasts to increase their power! ....... "The Tess Witch was clearly aware that this kind of improvised witch beast could not bring too much damage to the Paladins, so she also wanted to enhance their killing ability from the side.

To be honest, the fact that she was able to build this bloody altar and plant mysterious witch formations with different functions all over the Poisoned Swamp was all thanks to the resources and materials that Grim had provided. Without them, even if the witches were full of witchcraft knowledge and sinister methods, they would not have been able to make up for the huge difference in numbers between them and the Paladin camp.

Now, with these extra 'little tricks', the witches could easily and comfortably obliterate the opponent's strength a little bit. They would wait until the opponent was exhausted and mentally exhausted before stepping in to attack.

Before the loss of the Witch's Tower, these Paladins wouldn't be taken seriously by the witches even if they were numerous.

But now, it was only with these 'little tricks' that they could level the huge gap in numbers and strength between the two sides!

As 3rd rank witches who had lived for four to five hundred years, Tess and Italielle naturally had more than a few tricks up their sleeves. Under their joint command, a series of insidious sorceries and terrifying traps were unleashed one after another, causing the Paladins who had penetrated into the poisonous swamp to suffer tremendous losses.

And as the main force of the next battle, Grim naturally would not participate in these peripheral harassment tactics, but instead silently warmed his mind and calculated the issues that needed attention in the final battle.

The reason he was so 'enthusiastic' in encouraging the witches to start a decisive battle against the Paladins, for the sake of, of course, making one more ruthless 'catch' before he left. By the time they left the Enewick Plane, it would be somewhat difficult to return to collect those holy light souls.

And after this barbaric killing, the Holy Light faith of the Enewick Plane had suffered a lot, and it would be difficult to restore the previous scale without a hundred or two hundred years of upbringing.

Therefore, Grim was well aware of the rarity of this foreign journey, so he did his best to maximize the benefits.

His target this time was those high ranked Paladins.

If there was a chance to wipe out all the high ranked holy knights that were deep in the Poisoned Swamp, the seven golden knights plus the fifty or so silver knights, I'm afraid that their holy light souls would already be enough to push their spiritual power to the peak of the 3rd rank.

A trip to the Otherworldly Plane had allowed one to collect so many Holy Light Souls and 'accidentally' obtain the remains of a bizarre star beast. In every way, it was a tremendous harvest beyond expectation!

If Grim gained the opportunity to advance to the 4th rank as a result, then he would probably even wake up laughing straight away in his dreams.
