Age of Adepts

Chapter 1013 - Power of Holy Light (Supplement)

The battle continues in the battlefield!

The crowd that had retreated twenty miles away finally stopped and began to turn back to overlook the terrifying battlefield where the dust waves were tumbling far away.

There, stream after stream of violent magical energy was shaking the void without interruption, all of the purest and most condensed sorcery attacks. From time to time, there would be one or two thick pillars of energy sweeping across the sky, shattering the floating clouds in the sky and revealing the demonic and bizarre dark red vault of the sky.

Sensing the intensity of the energy shock in the distance, a look of shock and incredulity appeared on the faces of Zamu and the other seven witches.

How could they not be surprised and horrified that that legendary fire witch had even fought Lord Declan with a 4th rank magic weapon!

After all, a magic weapon was a magic weapon, and although its oversized size brought incomparable strength, it could not change its inherent disadvantage of slow movement and clumsy movements. The people present could avoid the opponent's attack area by using a little bit of tactics, and then wear down their defenses bit by bit.

Extrapolating themselves to others, a few 3rd rank witches didn't think that 4th rank magic weapon was that difficult to deal with!

But now it could be seen from the distant battle that Lord Declan didn't seem to have too clear an upper hand in the fight. This also left the crowd to be surprised at the strength of that 3rd stage fire witch.

Of course, they wouldn't have been so surprised if the Fabres family's investigation had gone a little deeper and detected the performance of the 4th-ranked Demonic Puppet Dragon in advance. After all, in the Lance Plane, a Tier 4 Magical Puppet Dragon had fought a Tier 4 Dragon personally.

"Zamu, Lord Declan should be able to win, right?" A male wizard inquired worriedly.

"There is no doubt about that, Lord Declan will win!" The Zamu Shaman had a look of perseverance on his face.

The hearts of everyone immediately settled a little at the news.

To be honest, the war was going on so far, even with the Fabreth family's powerful heritage, it was somewhat out of control of the battlefield. When 4th ranked witches had yet to show their faces, this war still belonged to the category of regular witch wars, where winning and losing, victories and defeats were very common.

But now with the war entering the 4th Order level, the entire situation had gotten out of control!

If Declan couldn't hold down the combination of the 4th rank Puppet Dragon and 3rd rank Legendary Fire Witch in front of him, I'm afraid that all of the Fabreus Family's previous efforts would be in vain.

So what if they had taken so many territories and resource points? What else can you do with a low to mid-level wizard with several times the number of opponents? As long as we can't take down the 4th rank Puppet Dragon and the 3rd rank Fire Witch, everything will be nothing!

The true measure of the strength of two wizard families was not these complicated and trivial data, but the personal battle power of those wizards who stood at the top of their families.

When a 4th rank wizard wanted to establish his own family and a kingdom, there were plenty of powers and human kingdoms rushing to join him. He didn't even need to worry about any chores at all, so that changing the world could be done easily.

In the Wizard World, there was no organization or force that dared to defy the will of a 4th Order Wizard.

The only one that could block or interfere with a 4th rank wizard's exercise of his will was another 4th rank or an equivalent fighting force matching the 4th rank!

After all, the Level 4 Demonic Puppet Dragon owned by the Crimson Family had not been tested in combat in the Wizarding World, so it was not yet accepted by the major Wizarding Families in the Scattered Tower Forest. So when the war extended to the Crimson Family's place of origin, it was the moment when the two families' strongest warriors began to clash fiercely!

Without Grim, a 4th stage magic weapon puppet dragon is imperfect.

It might be able to withstand the swift and fierce attacks of a rank 4 dragon, and it might be able to run through the family battlefield without any enemy, but it would be hard to resist a powerful rank 4 Body Tempering Sorcerer from finding a gap and extending the fire of battle to the inside of its thick metal body.

The appearance of Grim, however, made up for its only shortcoming!

With the magic cannons and energy pillars that Grim commanded and manipulated, with Grim's powerful and incomparable flame sorcery and the holy light damage that ignored defenses, that 4th stage refining sorcerer Declan was also limited to a considerable amount of battle power, no longer able to arbitrarily choose the battlefield space.

And the Magic Puppet Dragon that fought at full strength was 'hard' enough again. This hardness was not only reflected in the hardness of the super alloy itself, but also in the fusion and interaction with the magical energy within.

Without the ubiquitous magical energy, it would be impossible for the Super Alloy to withstand the violent power of a 4th rank Body Tempering Sorcerer with only its own hardness. It was because the magical energy had permeated every corner and every inch of the Demonic Puppet Dragon's body, which caused most of Declan's violent attacks to be cancelled out and annihilated by the magical energy imbibed within.

The remaining part of the power could only truly act on the Demon Puppet Dragon's metal body, leaving a frightening fist mark of varying depths on it. Otherwise, even if the metal body of the Demon Armor Puppet Dragon in front of him was ten times thicker, it wouldn't be able to stop Declan, who was unarmed, from dismantling it and punching through it.

After the attack was thwarted, there were some major problems with Declan's defense!

Even though they were both at the 4th level, Declan was after all far too inferior to the Demonic Puppet Dragon in size, so there was a huge difference in the battle power that could be exploded with the same basic strength. However, with the huge and clumsy form of the Demon Puppet Dragon and its terrible speed, it would require the opponent's extreme cooperation to attack Declan with its metal giant legs or hideous dragon head.

But the good thing was that Grim made up for the shortcomings in the defense of the Demonic Puppet Dragon with the Magic Energy Cannon, driving the opponent around with a thick beam of energy, never being able to break through the Puppet Dragon's physical defenses.

And after a few attempts, Grim stopped using the flame sorcery, and instead transformed all the flame energy through the Soden Holy Ring into the corresponding 'Holy Light Power', using the swiftness and penetration of pure light energy to start ravaging the 4th rank sorcerer with unbridled foot tenderness.

Light was unstoppable!

To be able to pass through the defensive force field formed by a 4th level sorcerer's own powerful strength, directly creating a strange sorcery effect similar to burning on the surface of his body, this kind of attack was simply unheard of.

This kind of attack method was unheard of. Therefore, it also made Declan, who had always liked to fight hard, feel uncomfortable.

Since the Demonic Puppet Dragon's body couldn't be pierced and its giant legs couldn't be beaten, Declan simply gave up this extreme waste of energy and began to focus on sniping the 3rd level Fire Witch.

In the entire session, this 3rd level Legendary Fire Witch was undoubtedly the weakest, and the only shortcoming he could grab!

He didn't believe that a 3rd stage Fire Witch, even with the protection of the Magic Puppet Dragon's protective light shield, would be able to withstand a 4th stage Body Tempering Sorcerer's melee attack.

Of course, this switching of attack targets also exposed Declan to three energy pillars of light attacking back and forth. However, as far as his defensive force field was concerned, being hit by one energy light pillar would only shake the defensive force field violently. Only when hit by two energy light pillars at the same time would there be the risk of sudden bursting and shattering.

The Declan who had lost his defensive force field would only need to quickly dodge the next attack and readjust the energy movement in his body to hold up a new defensive force field once again so that he could once again attack with impunity.

Of course, during this entire process, Declan would have to endure uninterrupted continuous bombardment from hundreds of magic energy cannons, as well as that damned fire witch's bizarrely extreme light energy attacks. So far in the battle, the Demonic Puppet Dragon was certainly covered in fist wounds all around its body, and there were also three to five visible wounds on Declan's body.

The most serious one was located under the right rib.

It was a terrifying wound left when the body's defensive force field was pierced by the two pincer energy pillars and the third energy pillar passed by. That blow directly caused a bowl-sized piece of flesh to be missing under Declan's right rib, and the exposed wound's surface was completely crystallized, with faintly visible strands of magical energy lingering on it.

Repairing this part of the damage again made Declan lose some physical strength, and after overriding the residual magical energy attached to the wound with berserk strength, the flesh and fibers near the wound only wriggled and stranded together again under the impetus of his powerful physique, allowing the entire repair process to proceed without interference.

As for the rest of the injuries, they were all light energy damage formed thanks to that 3rd rank fire witch. In order to save energy, Declan didn't expend his strength to repair them, and instead let them recover on their own with up to 46 points of physique.

46 points of physique... what a powerful physical advantage that was!

Take the more common ferocious beast in the Wizard World's Black Forest, the Pied Rhinoceros, which was known for its defense, only had 7 points of constitution. Most ordinary dragons also have between 11-25 points.

The super high stats brought with them extremely strong flesh*body defense and terrifying flesh*body recovery.

With Declan's 46 points of physique, even if he tied his own hands and feet and let his enemies go to attack, no weapon below level 3 sharp would be able to leave any wounds on him. He could even plunge his right hand into the mouth of a rank 1 dragon and allow it to bite without causing too much serious injury.

Of course, in order to do so, it would require Declan to have ample physical strength and strong elemental power.

After all, the defensive force field that he formed by protecting himself was made from the extreme flesh* body life force and the wind elemental energy that was aggregated.

One of the two was indispensable!

Unfortunately, such a strong flesh*body defense was not even half as effective in front of that strange light energy. A swift and terrifying streak of pure 'holy light' struck Declan's body, leaving a terrifying mark there that resembled a heat burn.

If Declan didn't dodge in time, the pure 'holy light' would even invade his body, purifying and annihilating those precious sorcery powers.

And the latter was the very source of power for Declan to maintain his powerful combat strength!
