Age of Adepts

Chapter 1022 - Crimson Dynasty

The Flame Throne, fifth floor.

Inside a heavily protected chamber.

Grim was standing in front of the alchemical lab bench, silently examining the remains of the star beast in front of him.

The corpse was sealed in a translucent amber, a strange species that was completely different from the creatures of the bit. Its appearance was difficult to describe in concrete terms, or at least Grim had never seen anything similar to it within the bitemporal plane.

Overall, the star beast resembled a haphazardly growing mass of rotting flesh, with no outwardly extending knuckle tentacles or such, no fixed skeletal form, and no formed flesh and blood organ tissues. The entire body's surface was covered with a dull and pitch-black hard skin, which shone with a starry crystal luster.

Seriously, this should have been the young body of a star beast!

The fact that a star beast's cub had a basic strength of the 2nd stage was a clear indication of the danger and dread of the extra-territorial space.

Star Beast is actually just a general name, as long as they can freely roam and survive in the endless star sea, they can be called Star Beasts.

The difference between star beasts and star beasts was so great that they could not be mentioned in the same breath.

Some star beasts were as small as a mastiff, some were as big as a small mountain, and some were so huge that their bodies were comparable to those of the Transcendental Continent... Their individual battle strength was usually directly related to their size, but what was more frightening was the chaotic power they possessed.

It must be remembered that within the plane, the elemental forces are well-ordered and gently tamed.

The greatest credit for this goes to the laws of the plane.

Outside the plane is an endless sea of terrifying stars, in which an endless amount of violent magical energy (also known as chaos energy) surges. This magical energy is chaotic, violent and disordered, and extremely harmful to most planetary creatures.

The planetary world protects the life and matter within the plane through a bit barrier, commonly known as the Boundary Membrane, which separates its inner space from the starry sea outside. Through the Boundary Membrane, the laws of the surface broke down the incoming chaotic energy according to the force of the rules into basic elements such as Earth, Fire, Water and Wind that the creatures of the surface could absorb, and then used them to build the basic elemental environment of the surface world.

Therefore, the creatures living in the bitworld were actually protected by the rules of the bitworld, and what they absorbed were also tamed and filtered peaceful magical energies. While directly invoking chaotic energies can increase the power of one's sorcery, these chaotic energies are no less than deadly toxins to most creatures of the plane.

Once the chaotic energy invades the body, it will disrupt the elemental balance it has built up over time, resulting in the collapse of the energy circulation system. A human sorcerer's fragile body would not be able to withstand such a collapse of the system.

Therefore, a low-ranked sorcerer stepping out of the bit plane and traveling through the starry sea was simply seeking death!

Only after advancing to a higher level, with a strong body and the means to deal with the chaotic energy, would one be qualified to travel the Star Ocean to find the mysterious world hidden behind the endless void storm.

And yet, the Star Ocean was so violent and dangerous, yet there were still many native races.

They were naturally adapted to the existence of energy tides and could directly absorb chaotic energy for their own use, which was why they were called Star Beasts.

And one of the things the Star Beasts loved to do was to travel through the endless sea of stars in search of bit worlds for them to invade. Once they found a target, they would tear through the bitworld barriers and break in to feast on it.

The chaotic energies of the void that they bring with them can cause irreparable damage to the world.

As a result, countless worlds in the history of the Planes have been destroyed by the ravages of the Star Beasts. When the Laws of the Planes are broken, when the Planes Consciousness is traumatized, the Planes lose their ability to mend the Planes barriers again.

The constant incoming storm of energy will sweep away all fragile matter and life, killing nearly ninety percent of the intelligent life on the bitworld. Only those truly powerful beings or species would be able to escape this broken world and become Starsea Nomads or find a new world to inhabit.

In that regard, all starbeasts were almost always the life-and-death enemies of the creatures of the Bitworld!

As soon as the two sides meet, it will definitely be a deadly fight to the death.

The young star beast remains in front of them were most likely a trophy obtained by the witch hunters outside the region. To put it bluntly, every star beast corpse was a huge treasure trove of resources.

The furs of star beasts could create top-notch anti-magic equipment, the flesh and blood of star beasts was also a favorite of body refining sorcerers, and the most valuable thing about star beasts was their innate chaotic physique, which was also a top-notch biological bloodline.

There had been too many ancient sorcerers who yearned to obtain the chaotic physique of star beasts, or to eat their flesh raw, or to inject their blood, or to refine their bloodline power... In short, the sorcerers had tried every possible way to transform themselves into that strange physique that was fearless of the chaotic energy of the star sea as well.

Unfortunately, the successes were too few and far between!

While some of the great wizards have managed to convert to Chaos bodies, some of the resulting aftermaths are too great.

Star Beasts were powerful and brutal compared to the creatures on the surface, but they survived more by instinct. Their flesh was unbelievably strong, and they also possessed powerful racial abilities, but they had obvious flaws in their minds and intelligence.

Those who used 'brute force' to transform themselves into chaotic physiques also had a marked deterioration in their intelligence, turning into cruel and evil creatures that were no different from star beasts. The private laboratory they had opened up in the extra-territorial star sea was also deserted, becoming a relic for the later generations of sorcerers to form groups to explore, venture and travel.

Ordinary bloodline refinement methods were almost useless against star beasts.

Therefore, even if it was the three major witch organizations, having research on the star beast's bloodline was the topmost secret and could not be leaked easily.

However, according to some unreliable gossip, the Sorcerer's Association was ahead of everyone in bloodline research, and seemed to have successfully transformed a number of Chaos Sorcerers. The only thing is that such a killer weapon cannot be announced to the public easily, so the outside world has not found any traces of these Chaos witches except for some rumors and gossip.

Although Grim has the Source Stealing Insect in his hands, whether or not it can be used on this kind of star sea beast is unknown, and he can't use the corpse of this star beast as a source stealing experiment. So these days, he locked himself in this hidden biological laboratory, on the one hand, he tried to extract the flesh and blood of the star beast to do preliminary experiments, on the other hand, he adjusted and cultivated new source-stealing insects based on the results of the preliminary experiments.

And this kind of work was never protracted, requiring long hours and massive resources!

If Grim was just alone, then he would inevitably need to travel around the world of wizards to find and collect all the necessary materials and resources for his experiments. But now with the Crimson Family as a flourishing platform, with a single command of what was needed, there would naturally be hundreds of witches, apprentices and goblins to search and collect for him.

This way, he would also be able to free up all his time and energy to focus on his sorcery experiments, without having to worry about all sorts of family chores.

Besides, the Crimson Family was in a period of rapid growth and expansion at this moment.

As long as they know that the legendary fire witch they admire and respect the most is still in their tower, they will naturally have endless energy and be able to do their work with ease.

Grim is like the heart and soul of the Crimson Family, as long as he sits in the family, even if he does nothing, he can bring a guarantee of confidence to the family members that no one else can replace!

After all, it was widely rumored throughout the Scattered Tallinn that Grim, the legendary fire witch, had been listed by the faction lords of your families as the 3rd rank strongest likely to advance to the 4th rank. With this great psychological expectation induced, a wizard or organization that dared to go against the Crimson Family was simply deranged and foolishly unworthy of being an intelligent wizard who knew how to avoid harm.

The Fabreus witches who retreated back to their family territory also admitted defeat gloomily.

In order to ransom the captured family sorcerers and elite legions from the Crimson Family, the Fabreth Family had to offer an astronomical compensation, which bridged the differences and hatred between the two sides.

Twenty-one million magic crystals....

Massive amounts of witchcraft materials and wizard resources....

All the Crimson nobles who defected to the House of Fabreth....

The task of rebuilding a dozen crimson cities and hundreds of castle estates....

The number of otherworldly slaves that numbered up to 100,000....

A large number of alchemical items such as low-grade sorcery equipment, scrolls, witch potions and wands....

........

With this indemnity, the Crimson Family was enough to recreate the entire Alois region into a completely exclusive mundane family territory of its own. The old noble territories and human kingdoms had also been invaded and riddled with holes, so this was the perfect opportunity to fuse them together and create a unified and gigantic human kingdom.

Crimson Dynasty!

This human kingdom that was completely dependent on the Crimson Family was called the Crimson Dynasty, and the king that was elected to the throne was called Badhorn Crimson, who was the only remaining distant relative that Gargamel Wizard had picked up from his hometown.

The group of human nobles who had performed brilliantly in the last witch family war and had been able to remain in the Crimson camp had been promoted one after another. Even that former Count Thomas was now mixed into a grand duke with a vast territory of thousands of square kilometers.

All of the Crimson Wizards could not be alone, they all had families, large or small, behind them that needed to be taken care of and supported. Now that there was a huge country to accommodate them, they happily brought their families and clans over, becoming nobles of all sizes with hereditary territories within the Crimson Dynasty.

This, too, completely tied the Crimson Shamans to the Crimson Chariot tightly!
