Age of Adepts

Chapter 1085 - Destroyer.

The tall metal giant incarnated by the Holly Wizard possessed a terrifying power that far surpassed that of the Arcane Puppets.

In front of him, these Arcane Puppets that were only as big as their waists were so fragile and vulnerable.

Amidst a crackling great metallic roar, the Tall Metal Giant was like a mad bull that had broken into a china shop, straight through the ranks of the arcane puppets, and wildly and savagely appeared in front of the dozen or so arcane masters. Behind him, the once self-described indestructible one arcane puppet was knocked to its sides, seal-engraved metal bodies covered with strange patterns and filled with radiating spider web cracks.

"Little ones, get out of my way!"

The Holly Wizard hid inside the astral construct, his metal giant hand stretched forward, and countless dazzling and enchanting starlight streamed down from the sky, wildly striking the astonished and horrified-looking arcane masters.

The dozen or so arcane masters had different ranks, ages, genders, and ages, but without exception, they were all covered in gorgeous and exquisite arcane robes.

Under the violent starlight, the bodies of these spellcasters were overflowing with a layer of sticky and thick arcane light, desperately resisting the nefarious and terrifying starlight invasion.

If they were all 4 Ringed Arcane Masters, coupled with the energy from the Arcane Tower, they might be able to withstand the attacks of the Holly Witch. Unfortunately, even the highest ranked Arcane Master in the room was only a 3 ring!

Thus, under the magnificent sorcery attack that seemed like falling stars, the energy field outside of an arcane master's body shattered one after another, and then his entire body was rapidly transformed into a human statue without a trace of life under the invasion of the violent starlight, and then crumbled and disintegrated, turning into a stream of fireflies.

Every single Olympian who couldn't withstand the impact and burst apart, their entire body didn't even leave a single blood stain or skin fragment, so they were completely wiped out of their own existence by the other party.

One by one, the Olympians burst open, like a beautiful firework in bloom... One really never expected that even death could die so beautifully!

As he watched the companions around him die one by one in such a bizarre manner, the young Reinert couldn't help but have his eyes bloodshot and his chest filled with unrestrained berserk rage.

He was, after all, a 3-ringed Arcane Master, and the equipment he had on him was much better than these 1st and 2nd rank companions. Coupled with the Arcane Shield that the Arcane Tower instantly added to his body, it was the only way that he didn't follow in the footsteps of his companions and be washed away into bursting fireworks by the radiant and enchanting starlight.

While jaw-droppingly and frantically injecting magical energy into the body surface arcane shield to resist the erosion of the starlight, Reinert quickly communicated with the spell pool inside the arcane tower. With an activation spell as fast as a popping bean, a brilliant and eye-catching arcane light flowed out from between his hands and assaulted the topless metal giant like a storm.

Unfortunately, his feeble strength was nothing more than a mantis in front of a 4th ranked magician, only brilliant and beautiful for a second before he was crushed to pieces by a huge metal footplate that suddenly stepped down.

After stomping on the 3-Ring Arcane Master, the Holly Wizard rushed to the entrance of the Arcane Tower, and while the two metal doors were still closed and the tower's lingering Arcane Barrier had yet to close, he crushed the Arcane Barrier that was in his way and rushed into the tower.

And under the torrent of energy rushing from the shattering of the arcane barrier, a tall, pitch-black figure emerged silently at the entrance of the gate. The dark shadow figure only appeared for half a second before he smirked once again and blended into the void, unable to find any trace of him.

"Alarm... alarm... alarm..."

"The invaders have entered the Tower of Ordeal, and the defenses are fully activated..."

"All members of the Fourth Orbital Tower, please return to your positions quickly, the defensive countermeasure mechanism will be activated instantly in 3 seconds...3...2...1 ......."

"Defensive countermeasures have been activated..."

"The arcane barriers are closing in, all secret doors and access routes on levels 1 and 2 have been closed...target creatures are locked..."

"Drip-drip-drip... emergency warning... second intruder detected, has invaded the 2nd floor of the tower..."

"Passageways to levels 3, 4 and 5 of the tower have been closed... the Olympic Guard is assembling..."

"WARNING WARNING WARNING... The first target creature is heading to the subterranean level, tentatively he is targeting the elemental pools between the energies... This attack is considered the first threat, ask the Gauntlet Olympians to proceed to intercept immediately ......."

"........"

"........"

In the midst of a noisy and piercing tower spirit alarm, that pale looking 3-Ring Olympian couldn't help but sigh on his back.

There was no need to try it out, just from the fact that the opponent's furious advances were so swift and so wild, one could guess their basic strength.

This... was simply not a terrifying and powerful enemy that they, the low ranked arcane masters, could resist!

If there was a 4 ringed arcane master presiding in the Arcane Tower, these evil sorcerers who had trespassed within the bit would never dare to be so reckless. But now, as the War of the Planes continues, all the high level magicians have either been transferred to the battlefield or sent to the Garland Province to intercept the evil creatures.

It was only by being drawn and deployed like this that this Fourth Arcane Tower appeared so outwardly strong, but it was not even half a quarter of an hour before the enemy had invaded so deep inside.

This... how could this not make this old arcane master feel extremely distressed!

As the ruler of the Arcane Tower, his authority was to maintain the peace of the place, as well as to protect the arcane masters, arcane scholars and arcane apprentices who had followed him for countless years.

Thus, in the face of a powerful enemy that was raging and almost unstoppable, the Tower Master could only press down the Arcane Crystal in front of him in a heartbeat.

"All Fourth Olympian Tower's Olympians, whether you are fighting the enemy or holding on to your posts, when you hear this message, please flee the Tower immediately. I have authorized the Tower Spirits to open an escape route, and you must leave the Tower of Arcane as quickly as possible. Today...the enemy that has invaded today is so strong that we cannot defend ourselves against it, your task now is to save yourselves and get there as quickly as possible..."

"Ah..."

Just as the many Olympians, scholars and apprentices in the Tower were listening sideways with red eyes and ears to the Tower Lord's tower-wide communication, the other party's voice suddenly broke off, then turned into a painful and suppressed muffled hum.

Whirling around, a cold and beautiful female voice replaced the old Auror, echoing arrogantly throughout the interior of the Tower.

"Flee... flee... little ones! This little boat is about to sink, so you guys better escape early. However, before you escape, I would like to play a little game with you to see which one of you is so lucky that you can escape from the Tower. As long as you are able to leave the Tower, I will be kind enough to let you go and not kill you. But those who remain in the tower, will have to leave your lives and souls behind forever... Hahaha... Then, this Battle Royale game will now begin!"

With an almost frantic screeching laugh from the dark witch Shani, clusters of pitch-black, indistinguishable and strange shadows began to appear in various parts of the Orbital Tower. As soon as these shadows appeared, they began to rapidly distort and morph, quickly turning into a tall, dark, all-body woman voxel.

In appearance, these woman vain shadows all bore a slight resemblance to that dark witch Shani, and seemed to be one of her many dark shadow bilocations.

These Shadow Branches seemed to have a trace of their own consciousness, and after successfully shaping them, they began to wander around the interior of the tower with a sneer, randomly looking for the hidden arcane masters.

In the central control hall of the arcane tower, the old tower master had collapsed to the ground, his chest pierced with a huge blood hole through the front and back. And inside the revealed body, the heart had long since disappeared, with no trace of it to be found.

The dark witch Shani stood in front of the control crystal, her small mouth slightly open, continuously spewing out a thin wisp of black smoke, slowly merging into the crystal. Under the erosion of her powerful power, coupled with the secret words and control methods that were scavenged from the old tower master's mind, Shani had initially suppressed that tower spirit and began to take control of the arcane tower a little bit.

Above the control crystal, a translucent tower's virtual shadow was projected, and all the secret rooms, secret passages, resource warehouses and storage rooms were clearly visible. Even the arcane masters, scholars, and apprentices that existed within the tower were all identified one by one with red dots of varying shades of color.

Shani smiled eerily.

Wherever she pointed her finger at the tower, the scene there would be magnified and projected, revealing a panicked and frantic arcane puppet that was dodging the mad attack on them. The magic secret doors that used to enter and exit freely were also useless, separating them within an isolated space.

Shani, while cozily admiring the almost crazy expressions of the arcane puppets, trembled her fingers and bet a tiny cloud of dark power over.

And where the dark power appeared, a Shadow Slayer that bore seven or eight points of resemblance to Shani quickly formed!

Immediately, the Olympian Tower resounded with screams of terror from the Olympians....

....................

Grim was leisurely strolling around the Tower of Ordeal.

Teams of four had all broken into the Arcane Tower, scattered on different floors, either killing or scavenging, all doing whatever jobs interested them.

The dark witch, Shani, had taken over the central control hall, and seemed to be enjoying herself there....

The Holly Wizard has put down the last of the arcane puppets and is tinkering and working on something in the energy room in the basement....

The two-headed wizard Mangus, on the other hand, ran to the resource warehouse and raided it....

Grim, on the other hand, turned a corner and passed through a secret door of magic, eventually arriving at the Hall of Knowledge of the Tower of Ordeal. And behind him, he left behind a magic secret door that had been burned out with a large human-shaped hole.

After all, this was just a small Arcane Tower in a remote province, and a magic secret door with only normal anti-magic properties would not be able to stop a 4th stage Elemental Sorcerer.

Thus, Grim broke inside the Hall of Knowledge and began to use the chip's rapid scanning and copying functions to quickly imprint all the arcane books inside.

And deep in his mind, a systematic and comprehensive system of arcane knowledge was also rapidly forming and completing....
