Age of Adepts

Chapter 1088 - Arcane Alarm Tower

A giant arcane tower flying through the air!

This was almost unimaginable in the wizard world.

A small witch tower in standard form usually had 5-7 floors above the ground and 2 floors underground. The height of each floor was around 8 meters, and could even be expanded to 25 meters if there were special needs.

The entire body of the witch tower was made of special material stone, which was reinforced with witchcraft runes, and many of the core locations were also made of fine gold, silver, magic gems and other witch resources. If the necessary sorcery puppets and magical constructs were added to it, a small witch tower would weigh almost four hundred tons or more.

The difficulty of trying to raise such a heavy behemoth into the sky and still be able to fly and adjust its posture with ease was staggering just thinking about it.

However, right now, such a miracle was presented in front of Grim and the others, and it was impossible for them not to believe it.

The Orbital Tower that was flying above the sky at this time clearly had a very different appearance from the last one.

The wide, flat stone base, the disc-shaped, slowly rising silver-white tower, and the resplendent arcane aura that lingered outside the tower... This was clearly a small guard tower dedicated to aerial combat.

Unlike ordinary arcane towers, it had abandoned most of its living and research facilities in favor of adding an extremely large number of Thunder Towers, Flame Towers, Storm Towers, and Tide Towers. These bizarre elemental towers, which were generally only one meter in diameter and over five meters tall, were spread throughout almost every corner of the Vigilance Tower.

Whenever an arcane aura was channeled upwards from the base of the towers, a dazzling elemental glow would overflow from these towers.

At the last moment, the tower was hovering over a quiet and secluded canyon, and was using its strange light waves to scan and perceive everything inside, when a faint magical fluctuation suddenly came from a dense forest ten miles in the distance.

Like a hound that had suddenly sniffed out the smell of blood, the Vigilance Tower's body shone with arcane light, trailing a splendid ribbon of light as it swiftly soared to the location where the magic fluctuation came from.

On the second floor within the Vigilance Tower, the arcane master responsible for detecting and scanning skillfully activated the arcane crystal and began to sense and investigate the source of that strange fluctuation.

In his subconscious mind, he still thought that this sudden fluctuation must be the aftermath of the fight between some beasts. However, the moment the arcane crystal activated, a huge blood-red blood-red dot of light suddenly jumped out and occupied all of his vision.

"Enemy attack..."

The Austrian's frightened roar instantly spread throughout the entire Vigilance Tower, and in the next second, the Arcane Barrier on the Vigilance Tower's surface immediately thickened by more than three times.

As soon as the defense of the Vigilance Tower was raised to its highest level, a tall human figure wrapped in a strange metal configuration crashed headlong into the Arcane Barrier.

There was a dull, loud thud.

The warning tower trembled wildly as it spun and fell backwards.

A human-shaped pit appeared on the translucent arcane barrier that was five meters thick, and the bottom of the pit was filled with dense, spider-web-like cracks. Flakes of shattered arcane light peeled off from the barrier, drifting away as it slowly melted away.

The astral constructs that Holly was hiding in were also in a rapid fall, and Holly was dizzy from the wild ramming that had taken place, and there was a jumble of gold stars in front of her eyes.

The small elemental towers on the surface of the Vigilance Tower's body instantly began to recharge, filling up with the four types of magical energy: earth, fire, water, and wind, just as the Vigilance Tower and the astral constructs were being thrown flying one after the other.

In the next second, even though it was still in flight, countless streaks of lightning and thunder, flying fireballs of energy, a rock mass, and a cloud of icy freezing gas instantly wrapped around the star construct, turning into a violent and ferocious arcane torrent that repeatedly washed over every part of the opponent's body.

The astral configuration controlled by Holly Shaman was also melting at a visible speed.......

That's one of the main features of the Olympians' attacks!

Instead of chanting incantations and using high-powered high level sorcery to crush or kill the opponent like a wizard, they preferred to compound and stack a huge number of small arcane spells to break down the opponent's basic defenses with overall damage.

Such an attack was not flashy enough, but it was terrifying enough!

After all, the Vigil Tower was densely covered with hundreds of elemental towers, and the arcane torrent that gathered all the elemental tower's power to exert was by no means the next best thing for an ordinary person.

The Holly Sorcerer was slightly shocked at the situation, and while desperately sending out a distress signal to Grim through a telepathic message, he quickly dodged in the air to dodge the intense attacks coming from the other side from long range.

With the Holly Wizard's metal hand raised high, a bright starlight fell from the vault of the sky and quickly merged into the body of the astral construct. The somewhat thin star construct that had just been washed away became thick and dense once again.

And just as the Vigilant Tower initially stabilized itself, intending to turn back and continue to chase after the astral construct, a whimper exploded and a series of blazing fireballs exploded on the Vigilant Tower.

The violent shockwave of flames washed the Vigilance Tower to the east and west, making it almost impossible to stabilize its shape. And seven or eight of the arcane guards surrounding the vigilance tower were caught in the sea of fire, blown apart into countless broken parts that rained down from the sky.

"Enemy attack... enemy attack... second target found!"

The Vigilant Tower Talisman quickly locked onto this newly emerged enemy and presented both to all the Tower Aurors at the same time.

At some point, a towering Flame Giant suddenly stood up among the dense forest beneath him.

It was the same one that had just thrown a series of fireballs from the side that had blasted the Vigilance Tower to blackness and flames while the Vigilance Tower and the Astral Construct were fighting each other.

"Damn it, that witch team is really here... Hurry up and tell Vigil Tower 27 and Vigil Tower 35 to rush over!" Seeing the two successive appearance of the fearsome sorcerers, the 4-ringed arcanist sitting in command of Alert Tower 22 had no choice but to yell out.

"The message has been sent, they are on their way over. Estimated time of arrival is 127 Nazo..."

Nacho is also a publicly available unit of timekeeping in the Austrian Empire, equal to approximately 32 minutes!

Hearing his men's reply, the 4 ringed arcanist's face finally showed a hint of joy.

Although the enemy was strong, they were protected by a sturdy guard tower, so there shouldn't be any problem in holding on to 127 Nazo. So, at this moment, the 4 ring magician was not considering whether the guard tower could hold, but whether his group could entangle the enemy here until his companions arrived.

Quickly examining the two sorcerers who had shown up, the 4 Ring Orbitalist chose the Tall Flame Giant as the breakthrough in this battle without hesitation.

That astral construct was capable of summoning starlight to replenish its own material losses, and it was by no means possible to defeat such an enemy in a moment. The Flame Giant was more than ten meters tall, standing tall in the dense forest, and the canopy of the ancient tree could only reach its waist.

But the 4-ringed Olympian had no fear of such a huge creature.

Elementalized body, gigantic body, such tactics were not unique to sorcerers, and any high level caster could almost master them. But in a real battle of the same level, very few people went so far as to do so.

The only reason was that although the giganticized body looked majestic and destructive, without a huge amount of elemental energy to fill it, it would be like an inflated marshmallow that would burst with a single poke, and it wouldn't scare anyone at all.

Moreover, one's own defenses were spread thin due to the surge in size, thus becoming riddled with holes everywhere.

Using such a tactic to bully the bit natives might be able to get a miraculous effect, but to use it against a 4 ringed arcanist with the protection of a vigilance tower, it was a bit arrogant!

Instantly treating his opponent as a rookie on the battlefield, the 4-Ring Olympian pounced on the Flame Giant with a sardonic smile on his face as he manipulated the Vigilance Tower. The arcane guards outside the tower, however, swarmed madly towards the astral construct, intending to entangle the opponent in place.

Apparently, the 4 Ringed Arcane Master had come with the attitude of striking out at each and every one and choosing the weak ones!

Grim was high up in the forest and sea.

His tall flaming body was dazzled with sky-high flames, and there was even a stream of high temperature flames curling up and down around his body. From the moment he rose up from the ground, the forest sea within the surrounding thousand meters had been ignited, quickly turning into a burning sea of fire.

Fire borrowed fire and fire helped fire!

Everything within sight of the substance was burning fast....

And within the tall flame giant's broad and solid chest, a strange heart of law was pulsing strongly and regularly. Every time it contracted, it would spew out a golden flame with an astonishingly high temperature, and wherever the golden flame went, it would leave behind a golden flame vortex in each core part of the flame giant's body.

These golden flame vortexes were small elemental channels that were directly connected to the fire elemental plane, from where they could draw a constant stream of flame energy to replenish their own energy loss. In this way, the nearly one hundred elemental channels above and below the circumference were simultaneously replenishing the flame energy, also making it impossible for Grim to be deprived of the fire element anymore!

Looking at the ever-approaching warning tower in the distance, Grim's huge flaming face revealed a humane smile as he lightly raised his left hand to condense a huge lava shield, and with a lift of his right hand, he condensed the Fire Coral Witch Staff.

The former was naturally a witchcraft creation, while the latter was a half-empty, half-solid energized witchcraft.

This was also a newly fathomed way for Grim to use sorcery.

After all, the vast majority of sorceries were built with the human form of a wizard in mind. Once elementalized and gigantic, the original witchcraft became a bean sprout that was somewhat difficult to even squeeze with your fingertips.

However, as long as these sorceries were placed inside the giganticized elemental body, and a steady stream of flame energy was poured into them, they could also be condensed into an energy sorcery of equal size according to their sorcery characteristics.

And with the full operation of Grim's Law Heart, the Flame Suit, Soden's Holy Ring and other equipment also began to show up one by one on top of his giganticized body.

Looking up at the approaching Vigilance Tower, Grim smiled heedlessly, and with a lift of the Fire Coral Witch Staff in his hand, a huge meteorite fell from the vault of the sky, crashing into the other side along a curved and bizarre route....
