Age of Adepts

Chapter 1100 - Shadow Jewel

Behind the wooden door was a boundless darkness.

If Grim didn't clearly and unequivocally understand that he was standing in the doorway of an ordinary bedroom in an ordinary wooden building in an ordinary town, he couldn't help but suspect that what appeared before him was the vast expanse of the shadow realm.

Amidst the endless darkness, a huge dark shadow was writhing like claws and teeth.

As Grim's gaze fell upon this huge shadow, a deep-seated hatred arose.

Hostility...the hostility of the Red Mighty Maiden!

When Grim's breath appeared in this strange space, a strong hostility rose from the depths of the shadow, and etched this hostility directly into Grim's heart.

If it had been an ordinary sorcerer, it would have been difficult to see through the powerful and distorted shadow space on the outskirts of the huge shadow to the reality inside.

But Grim's pupils glowed blue, and he took in everything with just a few flexes of his fingers.

Aided by the chip's powerful elemental scanning, long-range vision, long-range perception, dynamic capture, and other strange abilities, Grim's vision penetrated through that protective force field and saw everything in the huge shadow.

The dark witch, Shani, was currently standing naked in the shadows, a strange black stone suspended in front of her, from which a massive amount of shadow energy was spewing out.

Some of these shadow energies were absorbed into her body, and then transformed into mysterious and mysterious magic patterns that floated on her body. The other part was absorbed by the dense and strange witch formations around her, thus transforming into some sort of powerful shadow power that supported the vast class of shadow field.

Grim's gaze swept over Shani's bare body, ignoring the peaks and valleys of the boundlessly grand landscape and the other party's anxious and angry man-eating eyes, and instead landed on the slowly emerging magical patterns.

Shani's body was white and smooth, with a bee waist and boobs and hips, everything a beautiful woman should have. The first thing you need to do is to take a look at the newest version of the newest model.

These patterns were roughly thought to be decorative patterns similar to a rose branch, but as Grim's eyes fell on them, as the chip quickly scanned, extracted and magnified them, the detailed parts of these patterns were revealed a little bit.

This... wasn't a pattern at all, but a line of strange runes made up of fine and tedious lines of sorcery.

The large number of runes extracted from the chip could be deciphered, that Dark Witch was actually using her own body as a carrier to project the entire Dark Witch One Origin Tower far away in the northern part of the Witch World, using the infinite shadow energy imbibed in the strange black stone in front of her as a foundation.

Once her idea succeeded, she would temporarily have the same powerful offensive and defensive power as the Origin Gauntlet in this Class Shadow Realm. At that time, not to mention one Grim, even the remaining three 4th rank witches working together might not be able to compete with a humanoid super witch tower!

The idea was crazy, but looking at the black magic lines that had spread over her chest, giving her another half a quarter of an hour might actually work.

After learning everything, Grim felt both happy and secretly a little scared inside!

Fortunately, just now within the dark corridor, sensing that time was running out, he had abandoned his 'orthodox' fighting style, and instead used himself as bait to lure that shadow assassin into a close attack. Then, even though his body was traumatized, he had to use thunderbolts to quickly exterminate that rank 4 Shadow Assassin.

Otherwise, with that 4th stage Shadow Assassin's cunning and intractability, it was unknown that it would successfully drag the 'Summoning Witch Tower' to success.

The current Dark Sorceress Shani, although without the protection of the rank 4 Shadow Assassin, and seemingly without an empty door, she still had a protective force field that was difficult to deal with.

This force field wasn't her power, but was formed by the stone that was spewing out a massive amount of shadow energy from that source.

In Grim's memory, those who could gather a protective force field on their own were high-grade treasures or sorcery weapons, at least one or two steps higher than the Soden Holy Ring in their hands.

Combining the appearance and power attribute of that strange black stone, a resounding name instantly popped up in Grim's mind.

The Shadow Jewel!

Grim remembered the name because the Shadow Jewel was a Herculean... 5th rank treasure!

A purely auxiliary 5th level treasure!

It's a common 5th level material for other Spectral Sorcerers, but for the vast majority of dark creatures, it's a small artifact of no lesser importance.

The owner of the Jewel of Shadows was able to communicate with the Shadow Realm at all times, using the Jewel as a bridge to summon an endless amount of shadow energy from the Shadow Realm. The owner of the Jewel of Shadows is able to ignore all the limitations of dark sorcery and harness the shadow energy as he wishes.

Just to give you the simplest example, one of the worst skills in the dark side, Shadow Jump. This skill must be cast successfully when there is a shadow area near the target creature, and without shadows you can't jump.

That's why many wizards, upon encountering a creature of darkness, will cast multiple lighting sorceries on their side as fast as they can to dispel any dark areas. This would also prevent the dark creatures from suddenly emerging from the shadows beneath them.

But such a tactic would be useless if they encountered the Jewel of Shadows!

Even in a place as bright as day, where there wasn't the slightest hint of shadows, the holder of the Shadow Jewel would be able to travel and jump as he wished without being affected by the slightest external factor.

Coupled with the shortened skill buffer time, with the Shadow Jewel, it was the same as having infinite shadow invisibility. This was a dream treasure for the vast majority of dark creatures!

As he watched the magical patterns on Shani's body begin to extend towards her neck as they slowly crossed over her plump and firm breasts, Grim knew that he must not delay any longer. Once that Shani had truly summoned the power of the Dark Origin Gauntlet to her, there was no way he could match it.

Thus after seeing what was in front of him, Grim did not hesitate to transform.

His body was expanding and expanding, his spiritual consciousness was roaring and shrieking, and endless golden flames rushed out from the Heart of Rule, combining with the crimson lava that had tumbled out of the void to coalesce into a golden flame giant with a ten-meter tall stature.

The several sorcery weapons that Grim once possessed were also infused with golden flames, and one by one, they manifested themselves in a half-solid, half-energy form.

After all, the Flame Suit was a Level 3 Origin Sorcery that Grim had tailor-made for himself, and although it was now somewhat unable to keep up with his own pace, it could still continue to play a certain role after its energy manifested. The only ones that could really help Grim were the 4th-rank Soden Holy Ring and the Fire Coral Sorcerer's Staff.

As for the rest of the sorcery weapons, before they were transformed into energy sorcery weapons by the golden flames, they melted and destroyed themselves because they couldn't carry too much power.

Grim was now, after all, a 4th stage legendary fire witch, and those 2nd and 3rd stage wizards and props were fine to play with on a regular basis, but once they really stepped onto the battlefield, they could no longer support Grim's violent use.

"You... you can see me?"

That dark witch Shani seemed to have realized the problem at this moment, blushing and clenching her legs, covering her chest with one hand and the frangipani grass below her navel with the other, two huge red clouds appearing on her pretty face.

But unfortunately, her small hands were still too small and small compared to the area she wanted to cover up.

So under the half-coverage, coupled with her bashful and angry look, it added more and more to the charming and seductive taste instead!

Grim, who had transformed into a tall golden fireman, buzzed and laughed maniacally, "You'd better save it! A centuries-old witch of your fame still has to pose as an innocent girl, do you want to disgust me to death, or do you want to stall for time? Don't you really want me dead? So now, it's up to us to see who wants who!"

With a deafening roar of flames, Grim waved his Fire Coral Wand, and a huge golden pillar of fire a hundred meters thick exploded at the center of the dark core.

The violent and ferocious golden flame and the dark and profound shadow energy collided, instantly exploding into an energy martyrdom that swept through the dark space. The two different attributes of the power of each other collided, entangled, devouring, annihilating........

A wall of molten fire magic rose up in front of Grim, barely blocking the energy ripples that washed over it.

The dark witch, Shani, was obviously unable to get out of the ritual, and could only watch as the golden flames frantically washed over the layer of protective force field that the Shadow Jewel had condensed. The ripples and vibrations above the translucent dark barrier continued, even triggering some of the energy turbulence within.

Shani, who was selling her flesh and pretending to be pure a moment ago, fiercely looked withdrawn, the blush of shame and greenness on her face swept away, and her pupils radiated a cold and vicious harshness.

"How is this possible? You... you're just a newly promoted 4th rank... with your power, how could you so easily shake the protection of the Shadow Jewel?" Shani screamed madly, a hint of madness and viciousness showing in her demeanor.

It wasn't that she was so disoriented, but the power of Grim's attack was indeed a bit 'perverted'!

Due to Shani's inaccurate estimation, she had made two unforgivable mistakes in succession.

First, she thought that the rank 4 Shadow Assassin catalyzed by the Shadow Jewel would be able to buy her enough time for the ritual, which was why she didn't cancel the power infusion ritual in the first place when she sensed Grim approaching.

Secondly, when the Shadow Assassin failed, she again thought that she would be able to make it to the end of the ritual with the protective force field of the Shadow Jewel. After all, she was only 3 minutes away from the completion of the ritual.

Unfortunately, Grim didn't give her that chance at all.
