Age of Adepts

Chapter 1139 - A Terrible Change of Heart

After a long time, the Roy Wizard put down his mission crystal and looked strangely at Grim.

"They have completed all the tasks assigned to them, and also participated in an attack on a floating city... According to the battle images, they have indeed been to the core of the floating city, and have obtained some valuable information!"

It was impossible to keep too many battle images in the mission crystal, and Grim had only skimmed the surface to take in some brief battle scenes. In particular, the Arcane Hall in that core area of the Floating City in Regent's Garden, as well as the footage of the Calamity Lord's Evil Hoof and the 5 Ring Grand Arcanist fighting, were essential.

Just from the angle and distance from which the images were taken, the viewer would also be able to assess where Grim was at the time.

"I don't believe it... I don't believe it... With their strength, how could they go in and out of the Floating City unscathed. They must have cheated by some means..." that winter witch still questioned unrelentingly.

And her eyes were soon on the Mangus siblings who were the weakest.

"Mangus, say, how did Shani die?"

Mangus's eyebrows jumped and he looked up with a snarl, "You'll have to ask that Shani witch! A good combat squad, she had to rely on her force and go it alone, otherwise how could she have been beaten to death by the enemy!"

The Winter Witch's face paled.

However, before she could continue to press on, the Holly Witch who was standing at the side also spoke angrily.

"The Shani Witch died at the hands of the Godchild of Wisdom, and I can prove that. Furthermore, we've already avenged her death... by killing most of the Wisdom God's followers! Even that divine son is dead!"

"Oh?" With a glazed look in his eyes, the Roy Wizard turned to Grim and asked, "Did you kill the Son of God?"

Grim shook his head lightly and laughed bitterly, "That God Son has a divine artifact in his hands, how could we possibly beat him with our strength. The one who killed him was a witch demon called Kangenas, who seems to belong to a strange organization called the 'Pan-Universe Witch Demon Grand Alliance'..."

"The Wraith Kangonas...it's coming to the Morian Plane too!" The Roy Wizard obviously knew something, and as soon as he heard the name of the Witch Demon Kangenas, he looked fiercely solemn, as if he was very scrupulous about it: "You guys were lucky enough to meet Kangenas and come back alive. Be careful next time you see this guy, it's known to be ferocious and cunning, and it loves to collect the corpses of that thankfully powerful spell casters!"

As the Roy Witch was filled with solemn reminders, the Holly Witch and Mangus looked at each other and couldn't help but raise a sigh of bewilderment.

A witch fierce? It seemed that the witch and this Grim had a good conversation, but they were a bit sympathetic to each other.

It seemed that this Grim was indeed hiding deep enough that the elite shamans in front of him didn't even notice his strength and concealment... Cough, you can't easily offend a guy like this!

In this journey, Holly and Mangus had already been shocked by Grim's mighty power, and had unconsciously followed Grim's lead in everything.

As for the problem of offending the Dark Witch over this, the two didn't worry about anything. The three of them belonged to different witch organizations, and although the other party was powerful, it was difficult to influence the two of them. Moreover, for a dead witch to offend a future unbounded 'Star of Tomorrow', the two of them weren't that stupid.

One had to know that secretly, this Grim was a tough guy who could call Wraiths brothers and talk to each other! Others didn't know much about the dao inside, but the two of them had seen the Legendary Fire Witch's might with their own eyes, so they naturally knew what to say and what not to say.

A 4th rank witch might have been called a top level battle in the Wizard World, but within the 4th rank there was still a distinction between three or six or nine. That legendary fire witch, however, had clearly left them far behind and had become a fearsome figure that was beyond their reach.

So what others thought, Holly and Mangus didn't know, but the two of them had already made up their minds in their hearts that they would never choose to go against Grim in their lives!

Since they had already examined the Quest Crystal, there was nothing for Team Grim to be accused of.

Therefore that Winter Witch was still as indignant as she could be, but couldn't come up with any substantial evidence, so it was not good to pursue anything further.

After all, why would the dark witch Shani be involved in this bitter war? What's her real agenda? And what happened between them?

This series of questions, this winter witch all unknown, only out of the habit of protecting the overall interests of the northern witch to fight for it.

Now that she couldn't get any results, she laid down her mind and made up her mind to return to the extra-territorial camp and pass this information to the Witch World's Witch Chief Council, leaving them to decide and have a headache!

A 4th rank dark witch had fallen in the foreign realm, and this would definitely cause a big ripple within the northern witch power. But as a rank 4 witch serving outside the domain, these matters were of little concern to her anymore.

"Since the numbers are already here, let's teleport back! The battle here has escalated, and it's not safe to stay here as we could encounter those super-step powerhouses at any time... If you all have no comments, just lean in a bit!"

The Roy Wizard, no longer interested in dwelling on this broken alien plane, stepped forward and, seeing that no one had any objections to this, pulled out a strange seed from his bosom and tossed it on the rocky foundation in front of him.

This seed was clearly not the seed of an ordinary plant, but a specially cultivated and sealed magic plant. With the lifting of the seal, the tender branches and leaves of the magic strain began to humanely stretch and expand, its sharp and tender roots gently piercing into the rock layer like daggers, and spreading and growing rapidly inside.

It took less than half a quarter of an hour for the entire magic plant to expand and grow into a magical jungle that covered an area of acres. The green tendons crawling all over the surface of the rock foundation were flowing with a strange and mysterious sorcery rune, and used their own numerous dense root system to form a huge sorcery rune formation buried deep in the ground.

Standing in the center of the formation, the Roy Shaman's body emitted violent and ferocious sorcery energy, which was continuously injected into the magic plant system beneath his feet. Dense lines of runes and threads of energy emerged out of thin air, and the energy atmosphere contained within was becoming more and more intense, even to the point of being bright and blinding.

"All in, the teleportation will begin soon!"

Hearing the order of the Roy Wizard, the remaining nine wizards stepped on top of the magic plant's roots and leaves without hesitation, each finding a place to begin to close their eyes and wait.

The three Grim had become somewhat familiar with each other after this period of 'friction' and contact, so they stood a little closer. That Mangus, in particular, even took the initiative to stand on Grim's side, looking like he was being feathered by the other party.

Grim knew that he was weak, and was afraid that it would be difficult for him to cope with this kind of violent ultra long-range inter-dimensional teleportation, so he didn't pay much attention to it.

The bright and dazzling rune formation had spread into a sea of strange light, encompassing the ten sorcerers' bodies, and then began to tear open a spatial passage to somewhere outside the domain.

Due to the breakage of the Morienne's bit, the dying bit of consciousness was no longer able to suppress this kind of interdimensional teleportation that could tear through space, so the difficulty of breaking open space was made much easier by the last time they infiltrated.

But when the space was ripped out of a huge black hole, a storm of wildly surging energy lingered on the sides of all the sorcerers, wildly rushing feet softly ravaging their bodies. At this time, it was not a good idea to hold up the elemental shield, as it would cause a disturbance in the spatial energy, resulting in unpredictable and terrible consequences.

Therefore, all the shamans could only close their eyes and endure, using their hardened bodies and their own magic resistance to resist the invasion and sweeping of the space energy. Everyone felt that their bodies were strangely elongating, twisting, and deforming, gradually losing their sense and judgement of the interdimensional space.

Even though the sorcerers had made countless improvements and refinements to the trans-dimensional ultra-teleportation witch array, it was still difficult to change the viciousness of the teleportation process. Only a high-ranking sorcerer whose body had undergone multiple transformations could endure such terrifying spatial changes, and if it were an ordinary sorcerer, he would have been torn apart into a pile of blood paste by the violent spatial forces during the teleportation process.

As for the length of the teleportation process, different shamans had different feelings about it.

Some shamans are dizzy for a while, but when they wake up again, the teleportation is already complete, and their feeling is usually only for a moment. On the other hand, some shamans are able to maintain a clear perception of the teleportation process with their powerful mental energy, and the time they feel the teleportation varies from a dozen fingers, half a quarter of an hour, to a quarter of an hour, etc. It's hard to tell who the answer is.

It's hard to tell whose answer is completely true!

And at the moment when the spatial energy within the teleportation array boiled and shook to an extreme, the Mangus who was standing on Grim's side of the pestle suddenly opened his eyes, his eyes turning white, and his face, which had been calm and unruffled, suddenly began to twist dramatically, looking like he was struggling in pain.

"Get out... this... this is my body..."

He hissed and roared as if he was in some sort of confrontation and battle with some power.

Even at the end, he roared and awakened the sleeping Qiu Lisa, who had actually transformed into a two-headed wizard battle form.

"Uh..."

He growled vaguely, but Woody's body shook and suddenly became calm again.

Both Mangus and Kewlissa's heads turned around at the same time, staring at Grim with white-rolled eyes, and Gram sneered, "Here we are again, little one! I hope you'll like this gift..."

With that said, he (she) pounced on it, became blood red around the body, and actually instantly increased his or her power to the limit, and then without hesitation... blew himself or herself up!
