Age of Adepts

1150 Chapter 1150 - Out-of-Territory Transmission

Out of Domain, Camp Esoda.

As usual, this place was still bustling with people.

But this place was worthy of being outside of the domain, even if it was just an unremarkable guy setting up a stall on the street, he was at least a 2nd stage sorcerer. And those like them who were out to wander and practice as a rank 2, often didn't even dare to take half a step out of this Essoda camp.

Nothing else, it was just too dangerous!

It wasn't just the environment here that was dangerous, but what was actually more frightening was the strange fae that came from all directions.

No one knew what kind of strange abilities they had, nor did they know if they were here to make a trade or a hunt. Thus, once one stepped out of the camp and lost the protection of the Witch Tower, the vulnerability of the human wizards was also evident!

Draped in a black traveler's robe that covered his entire body, Grim hurried out of the Witch Tower, briefly looking up to discern his direction, and instead of heading towards the center of the marketplace, he turned around and traveled towards the edge of the camp.

Along the way, they passed through a number of lively areas and saw a number of strange and exotic creatures. Some of them were Starsea Wanderers, while others came from the secondary planes under the rule of the Wizard. In their own territory, they might be kings who ruled the ten thousand directions, or powerful people who were admired, but here, they were the most ordinary members of the noisy crowd.

Often times, they would even be associated with the word 'weak' for the first time!

This is the camp of the witches, and naturally the witches are the most noble!

Under normal circumstances, there was no such outsider who would dare to clash with the witches in the camp.

Therefore, although Grim had concealed his identity, only the hidden energy scent that was leaking out made the crowd not dare to stop him in the slightest.

After passing through the bazaar and passing through the miniature worlds on the outskirts, Grim soon arrived before the enveloping sorcery barrier.

Before and after the barrier were two different worlds.

The inside was fragrant with birdsong and fragrant grass and trees, while outside the wild 'wind' was raging and energy vortices were flowing one after another....

Inside was green grass, while outside was dark, bare, strange steel rock.

The rocks here were able to withstand the erosion and erosion of energy hurricanes for hundreds or thousands of years without disintegrating, and were definitely the best stone to excavate to build a wizard's tower.

At this point, Grim didn't hesitate in the slightest, holding up a dark red energy shield, and walked out of the Sorcerer's barrier.

As soon as he stepped out of the sorcery barrier, the energy shield outside his body crackled and splattered with dazzling sparks.

Not at all surprised by such a strange sight, Grim gathered his hood and flew off the ground with his feet, propelled by a stream of crimson flames hurtling towards somewhere in the distance.

For the sake of secrecy, Grim didn't even borrow the short-range teleportation array inside the camp when he left the Esoda camp, but spent four days to walk the three thousand miles. Only then did he arrive at the edge area of the boulder where Esoda's camp was located.

Here, light and order began to retreat, replaced by frenzied energy storms and the ubiquitous Void Turbulence.

Grim paused at the edge of the boulder to get a sense of direction, before he once again flew off into the endless darkness before him, propelled by the stream of red flames.

After reforming into a Star Beast Bloodline, this terrifying area filled with the energy of the Raging Void was not a dangerous path for him, instead giving him the relaxing feeling of returning home.

Canceling the energy shield, allowing the violent and fierce void energy to blow up his body without any cover, the chaotic body condensed into a tiny energy vortex around his body, absorbing the turbulent flow of energy that blew in.

Part of it was absorbed into the body, supplying Grim's elemental consumption; part of it dispersed out, counteracting that characteristic of the Void's energy rampage.

When other people entered the Star Ocean, not only could they not absorb the Void energy, but their own strength was also in a constant state of consumption. But Grim had a chaotic physique, and absorbing these 'gentle' void energies was as easy as breathing.

As long as no large sorcery was cast, Grim's power not only wouldn't be depleted, but was also slowly increasing.

Flying rapidly in the empty darkness, some silently floating boulders could be seen from time to time in the distant deep and dull void.

Some of the boulders were only a hundred meters in size, while others were like a majestic mountain, making one wonder if someone might have used extraordinary power to move some of the inner mountain ranges.

Yet it was some such rock, large or small, that floated lonely in the endless darkness, silently awaiting the end of its life.

Finally, Grim stopped in front of a particularly massive rocky mountain.

It was a hovering boulder that covered an area of hundreds of miles, floating in the void like an upside-down pyramid. The rock below it, which was mailed to the exposed rock, was eroded by the void hurricane and had beehive-like densely packed holes, and the top of the exposed rock wall was covered with stars and strange light.

At a glance, they were mineral rocks that contained extremely rich metal content!

It was precisely thanks to these metal ore particles that the giant rock was able to resist the day and night erosion of the void energy. Otherwise, it would have crumbled into thousands of rock fragments before being devoured by this strange space in bits and pieces.

This giant rock clearly met Grim's requirements in every aspect.

Thus, the fire light exploded, and in the next instant Grim appeared on top of the slightly flat rock surface above the giant rock.

The surface of the giant rock was a hundred miles in size, but after deducting the strange terrain that was unsuitable for human habitation, the real area that could be used to build a camp was only thirty to forty miles.

Grim tirelessly trampled over every area on the surface of the giant rock, and finally found the most suitable location near the core area.

Here, Grim dropped down and released his 3rd level elemental magic weapon, allowing it to clear a flat and mirror-like surface. And then, Grim got busy and began mapping out an oversized teleportation witch array here.

Even though Grim had the assistance of a chip and wasn't worried about any deviations in the drawn witch array; even though Grim had a chaotic physique and was able to survive calmly as normal in such a harsh environment... However, a large witch array covering an area of over 300 meters still took him half a month of long time.

Seventeen days later....

When the large teleportation witch formation was finally completed, Grim breathed a sigh of relief, releasing a large box of magic crystals from his storage ring to the elemental magic weapon for the late energy infusion, while he himself sat on his knees and began to quietly close his eyes and meditate.

After reaching the 4th stage, this 3rd stage elemental magic weapon was able to bring him very little help.

The Elemental Demon Armament that had once helped Grim immensely in sorcery attacks of 1,000 to 2,000 degrees, was now afraid that it wouldn't be able to withstand even a single attack from the enemy and would be destroyed. That's why in the last few battles, Grim wasn't even interested in putting it into battle.

Not to mention the 3rd level elemental magic weapon, even the Flame Throne set that Grim had built himself was now being relegated to the second tier, becoming Grim's first batch of sorcery equipment to be phased out.

The trip to the Austrian Empire had allowed Grim to acquire a good number of Tier 4 equipment. Although their origin attributes didn't exactly match Grim's flame power, they could still be effective with a bit of modification.

At this stage where the entire body was being transformed from 3 into 4, Grim was quite annoyed that it was difficult to find equipment that really suited his needs.

While pondering about the adjustment plan for future equipment, Grim commanded the elemental magic weapon to insert a magic crystal into each magic node of the witch array. Due to the lack of a stable and reliable energy source, Grim could only support the large teleportation array with the loss of magic crystals.

The finishing work lasted for another two days before it was finished.

When all the preparations were completed, Grim flew over the formation and began to slowly move the energy inside the formation with his mind.

The magical nodes placed everywhere in the witch array began to light up one after another, and then the surging magical energy began to surge and conduct through the witch array lines, invading all the hubs, nodes and lines in its path with a milky white color.

An oversized energy mask rose up to keep the violent void energy out and to protect the fragile sorcery lines and magical nodes within the teleporting witchcraft array. Following this, the raging spatial energy began to converge above the witch array, coalescing into a black spatial singularity the size of a fist.

Then as the spatial energy continued to converge, the spatial singularity began to collapse inwards, turning into a small spatial black hole, which then tore into a spatial rift ten meters long and one meter wide.

The spatial rift was twisted and coiled like an ugly centipede above the witch formation.

It took another great effort for Grim to stabilize it in place, and then it continued to widen and widen!

Grim was stabilizing the spatial rift above the witch array, while the elemental magic weapons were also busy below.

The operation of the sorcery array requires a huge amount of magical energy, so the magic crystals placed in the magic nodes of the sorcery array can barely withstand a quarter of an hour and need to be replaced. This heavy workload undoubtedly falls on the elemental magic weapon.

The amount of magic crystals needed to operate a large witch array like this was astonishing. At the very least, an ordinary sorcerer couldn't afford to lose such a huge amount of magic crystals!

It was only when the spatial rift above the Teleportation Witch Formation became wide enough and long enough that Grim sent a strange signal into the distance through some sort of special psychic connection.

Not long after, the spatial rift suddenly trembled and shuddered violently.

The spatial light film that was as flat as a mirror began to bulge outwards bit by bit, as if an unusually large individual was trying to squeeze through the spatial rift and out of it.

The light film topped higher and higher, and finally, with a boing boom, the spatial barrier was torn apart.

A strange metal head poked out from within....
