Age of Adepts

Chapter 1160 - Wizards Aren't Human!

"Bastard, I'll fight you!"

This time just after recovery, Karin burst out.

Her sturdy and agile body like a cheetah appeared behind Grim with a flicker, and the two Lightless Daggers were already tightly gripped in her hands at some point, frantically thrusting into her opponent's back.

Unfortunately, as soon as she cut within 3 meters of Grim's circumference, she ran into a layer of invisible and transparent flames head-on. Her protective force field was simply too weak before this layer of transparent flames, and she was burned through almost instantly.

When the transparent flame burned to the top of Karin's body, she raised her head and neck and let out a painful howl that tore through the clouds.

It hurt... it hurt... super pain....

It was as if her own magic resistance had been zeroed in half at that instant, and the golden flames were burning her body as well as her soul. That sharp pain that originated from the depths of her soul was the culprit that instantly defeated Karin!

Karin fell to her knees beside Grim in agony, her whole body wrapped in a strange golden flame that burned and splintered and burned to death....

Until Grim lifted his hand again and a black sunlight doused the golden flames, re-filling her body with dark energy.

After Karin recovered again, she fled out of Grim's golden flame envelope without hesitation.

And with Karin's departure, the golden flames burning around Grim's body also became invisible once again, completely hidden from sight.

A 4th rank Fire Witch... this was the true power of a 4th rank Fire Witch!

It wasn't until this moment that Karin truly experienced the power of this 4th Order Legendary Fire Witch in front of her.

It was only until now that Karin was able to experience the power of the legendary fire witch of the 4th rank.

"Your enemy is it..." said Grim, turning back with a faint, sarcastic smile, "Don't look for the wrong target! It's fine if you don't want to fight with it, but then you can just take your time and suffer the torture for the past half year!"

"The Dark Witch is not afraid of death? Well, then I'll let you die this time..."

With that, Grim's body flames shone around him, and his entire body slowly disappeared within the space.

The cold and ruthless Shadow Demon, on the other hand, slowly raised his head and his black gaze fell coldly on Karin's body.

In the next moment, the venue once again resounded with the grimacing noise of a metal blade breaking through the void....

...................

Grim came out of that small dimensional space just in time to meet Alice who was waiting.

"You're a tough one! How dare you be so brutal to a beautiful woman, aren't you afraid that in six months she will be driven insane by you?" Alice couldn't help but shake her head and sigh as she watched through the darkened canopy the two strange figures that were frantically chasing and fighting in the arena.

"She's a witch, not a woman!" Grim corrected, "Seriously, a wizard can no longer be called human after level 2..."

"But we can't forget our roots!"

"I haven't forgotten my roots, and I'm even more attached to the source than most witches. But we can't continue to deceive ourselves either..." said Grim, staring into Alice's beautiful blue pupils, grudgingly, "Wizards are not human!"

The theory of Wizard Inhumanism... This was not an argument put forward among Grim's righteous indignation, but a mainstream ideology that had been active within the Wizard community for a long time.

As the group of witches grew, many high-ranking witches began to reflect on the inadequacies of the current witches' training system.

What is the deciding factor that determines whether a race or clan is strong or not?

Bloodlines, gifts, intelligence, talent....

Seriously, all of these factors are missing and each and every one of them seems so important!

But the humans that the witch community originated from were clearly not considered superior in these options, and even had to be classified as outcasts.

Bloodline... human bloodline... how to put it nicely... no bloodline!

Not having a body as strong as an orc's, not having the dexterity of an elf's, not having the great divine power inherent in giants... It seemed that among the most common groups of creatures in this bit world, humans were one of the few races that didn't manifest bloodline power.

Of course, this was not without any benefits!

Humans had the most balanced and adaptable bloodlines, compatible with most of the foreign bloodlines.

However, this was just a self-satisfying statement by humans, the real situation was that human bloodline power was too weak, and in an interracial 'marriage' with any creature, the human bloodline would be easily overpowered or devoured by the other's bloodline power.

As a result, the hybrid offspring born would tend to have degraded bloodline power!

Therefore, many of the higher planes, the intelligent races that ruled there would make strict laws to prevent the higher races from mating and breeding with 'lower creatures' like humans to avoid the degradation of bloodline power.

Talent... just like bloodline, the human race was also mediocre in the talent category.

Even the foolish goblins who are the training ground for all of you newborn hunters have an engineering expertise, while the humans have nothing, as usual.

Of course, if you were to list being able to breed, being good at planting, being docile and obedient... those were also listed as strengths, then the humans had quite a few strengths!

However, the only natural ability that has really allowed humans to rise to prominence in many bit worlds is being good at learning!

Humans do not have the sharp claws of beasts or the wings of raptors that can fly. Therefore, humans were especially good at learning from those races or creatures that were stronger than themselves.

The birth of the Shaman actually stemmed from humans' long time speculation and copying of the magic patterns on powerful demons!

When they drew similar magical patterns on themselves or on the land and discovered the faint power imbued within. From there it was out of control, and the wonderful profession of sorcerer was born!

It was precisely because of the problem of witch origins that some powerful witches couldn't resist the idea of bloodlines and talents.

It seemed to them that abandoning the human race with its many flaws, and then using the bloodline synthesis technology that witches had mastered to create a new race that was stronger and more suited to the path of the witch, would... seem to make it easier to push the witch community to grow and develop!

And that's no longer an idea or philosophy.

As far as Grim knew, all the major sorcerer organizations had begun to conduct this kind of similar experiments in the secondary planes they ruled.

There were so many witches outside the Domain, did they all come from the Wizard World?

Not to mention, the squad of 3rd rank wizards who ran to the Enwik Dimension to snipe at him, Grim had never heard of them in the Wizarding World.

Katy the Knife, Benicia the Mind Warlock, Gwenevere the Poisonous Old Woman, and Nataku the Giant Snake... If these powerful guys really came from the Wizard World, Grim's status wouldn't be such that he wouldn't be able to find out anything about them.

Therefore, after a long and fruitless investigation, it dawned on Grim.

It wasn't that he couldn't find out in the Sorcerer's World, but they weren't from the Sorcerer's World at all!

If the witches who went out of the Sorcerer World were considered pure-blooded and true-blooded, then these witches who came from the secondary plane and were also trained according to the Sorcerer System could only be considered miscellaneous.

After all, the Sorcerer World was the place of origin of the Sorcerers, so the major Sorcerer organizations had some rules and taboos when it came to their work. But if they were to be placed in those secondary planes, I'm afraid they would become unscrupulous and a hundred taboos.

In such an extreme situation, it was easy to imagine what kind of temperament the cultivated sorcerers would have!

If the high ranking witches in the wizarding world were somewhat psychopathic and twisted, it was with reference to ordinary humans. But for these miscellaneous witches, they were no longer perverted and twisted, but they had directly become a bunch of monsters.

Before becoming a 4th Order Sorcerer, before heading out of the Domain, Grim, like most of the Sorcerers within the Sorcerer World, saw himself as the pride of the Sorcerer community, someone who carried the aura of a protagonist, someone who was destined to become a great Sorcerer.

But after stepping outside of the Wizard World, he realized with horror that the Wizard World might not be the only one!

In the depths of the endless sea of stars, there were still hundreds of secondary bits resupplying the sorcerer community with a steady stream of new blood. And if they were able to step out of the world and gather under the banner of the sorcerers, which one of them was not a natural talent of the one they were on?

Of course, if one had to say the difference between the Sorcerer's World and these secondary planes, it was... so far, the three 9th rank Grand Sorcerers born from the Sorcerer's Community were all from the Sorcerer's World.

And the Sorcerer's World was also a High Plane with all of the Laws of the Plane and rich resources of the Plane.

This... was perhaps the only reason why the Sorcerer's World stood out from the thousands of other worlds!

From Grim, I heard 'Wizards aren't human!' At that, Alice couldn't help but widen her eyes in fear as well and said anxiously, "Grim, do you also think that humans are not a suitable source of witches?"

Grim smiled faintly and grabbed Alice's catkin and put it to her face and rubbed it.

"On the contrary, Alice, I'm not the same as those guys. Rather, I'm a firm believer that humans should be the source of witches! The power that the witch community is acquiring now is strong enough that it should put a cage head on it so that it doesn't get completely out of control and then backfire on the entire witch community."

"Why do you feel that way? Are there any witches who think they're too powerful? Shouldn't the wizarding community have the sole goal of chasing power?" Alice was not confused either.

"Today, I was contacted by a distant fellow who wanted to make a deal with me. Can you guess who it is?" Grim couldn't help but touch his nose and grin.

Before Grim opened his mouth, Alice knew almost nothing about this matter.

But now, as soon as Grim opened his mouth, under the guidance of this vague information, some fragmented bits of information flooded into Alice's soul, gradually outlining a fragmented puzzle of strange creatures in her mind.

"Wraith... Wraith Kangonas contacted you!" Alice couldn't help but open her mouth in surprise.
