Age of Adepts

Chapter 1187 - Mary's Pride

The Shadow Demon returned to the Flame Throne on the eleventh day after parting with Grim.

It had managed to bring back the Shadow Jewel, but its own injuries had reached a shocking level of damage.

But the good news was that when building the Shadow Demon's body, Grim had mixed in a large amount of memory metal. Therefore, with the infusion of massive amounts of shadow energy, the Shadow Demon was completely able to repair the damage to its body on its own.

As for the Blood Clan that had expeditioned to the Hazen Plane, it was the family residence that returned on the 17th day.

The moment they successfully returned, the Crimson Family boomed!

So along with them came back a large number of guys who had made the leap to the High Blood Clan.

Mary had undoubtedly advanced to the 4th rank, and also made the Crimson Family a full-fledged super wizard family. If Alice was included, then the entire Crimson Family already had the potential to become an independent power.

This news hadn't spread out yet, and once it reached the Scattered Ground Tallinn, I'm afraid a new round of pattern shaking would be inevitable!

Of course, in addition to Mary, the blood lord who was honored to be ranked 4, there were two other blood elves in Hazen's party who had managed to advance to rank 3 as well. They were Blood Elf Mage Isa and Blood Elf Shapeshifter Sparrow.

As for the other Bloodlings, they also all had more or less improved, just not by crossing a major step like the two of them!

Since the Hazen Position had become the Blood Clan's private property, Mary was the master, and conquered and enslaved a large number of indigenous trolls, making them work day and night, and transformed that former capital of trolls into a huge castle of blood, an offworld stronghold of the Blood Clan.

And the once Feathered Serpent God's lair, that is, the divine space, was dug out of a huge blood pool.

As long as the Blood Clan worked hard to manage it, it was only a matter of time before the Blood Clan would turn the Fresh Blood Castle into a sacred place for the Vampire Clan, and the Blood Pool into the original land of the higher Blood Clan.

But these were all things that came later, and something that Mary and the others needed to put their hearts into.

The good thing about the reality was that the return of Mary and the other Bloods also brought back a great deal of loot, including a number of goodies that made Grim's eyes glaze over.

Upon her return, Mary left everyone behind and barged straight into Grim's Throne of Fire.

In an alchemy lab, Mary grabbed Grim by the collar and pulled him in front of her to examine him carefully and intently.

"Have you been...out of town...all this time?"

Grim's brow furrowed, somewhat baffled.

"What the hell are you talking about? Out of what way?"

"Let me just ask you, have you ever been to that Hazen bit?" Mary showed a pair of small tiger teeth and threatened 'viciously'.

"The Hazen bit? What am I going to do in the Hazen Position?" Grim looked 'dazed': "As you know, I haven't recovered from my soul origin's injuries, so how can I go out and run around?"

Sensing it up close, what Grim said wasn't half false.

His soul origin really didn't match his 4th rank status, appearing too weak and turbulent.

Did that foul snake suffer a horrific backlash due to the mass death of its followers? Otherwise there was no reason why it would only have a little half of its life left when you and the others attacked its lair....

Such a profound and mysterious problem was clearly not suitable for Mary to think about, and only after only a few moments of deep thought, a series of small stars had already appeared in the depths of her beautiful blood pupils, clearly in the stage of confusion and collapse of sanity.

If you can't think of a problem then you don't have to think about it... such a simple and brutal solution could only be carried out by Mary in such a righteous manner.

After giving up on thinking, Mary quickly regained her sanity and clarity.

Her face instantly blossomed with a smile that was sweet and capable of killing people.

"You're a famous 4th rank, and I'm also a famous 4th rank now. How about, let's go fight again and see?"

For such a self-abusive offer, Grim was of course 'obliged' to reject it outright.

Mary instantly became browbeaten.

"Alright, no more teasing. You'd better honestly recover here! From now on, you're my sister's person. If anyone bullies you, just report your sister's name and I'll take care of them for you..."

With that, Mary raised her clean neck and laughed up to the sky in an extraordinary queenly manner.

All kinds of smugness that had overpowered Grim was evident, and also made him roll his eyes violently for a moment of speechlessness.

"Well, no more fun for you. This is the loot I brought back for you this time, sign for it..." enough of the teasing, venting out the pent-up feelings of being deeply 'oppressed' for nearly a hundred years, Mary waved her hand and released a large pile from her storage ring. Trophy.

"You can take your time taking inventory, I still have to pay a visit to that gentle and lovely Alice 'sister'!" Mary was quite biting her teeth when she said the word 'sister'.

It was very difficult to calculate the age of a witch.

Between Mary and Alice, who was the older sister and who was the younger sister was simply a muddle, and it was difficult for anyone to stroke out an eyebrow. Therefore, with the custom of the witch world to respect the former, whoever was stronger between the two women was the sister. Even if the other party was not convinced, the strength of the Chibi maiden was there, and it was not up to her not to bow.

Thus, over the years, because her rank was always 'a shade' below Alice, Mary held back on the status of 'sister' for a long, long time. To be honest, the nameless fire inside her was about to burn through the sky.

Right now, she and Alice were both at the same level 4 beginner, the same rank.

However, by virtue of the fact that she was a battle witch, she was going to be a little bit more 'noble' than Alice's profession that had no combat power. Therefore, it seemed only right that she should be the one to be in charge between the two!

This time she has a chance to turn over a new leaf and be a sister, if she doesn't show off she might really get sick!

So, after stirring here and there for a while Grim, Mary Woody gave him a peck on the mouth and left again, toe-curling and gusting.

The cryptic Grim waited until Mary's scent disappeared from the Flame Throne before settling on the trophy she left behind.

The bones of the Feather Serpent God....

Eleven lightning-based divine crystals....

A piece of source matter uncontaminated by the alien energy....

As well as that... giant egg.

Seeing the loot in front of him, although it wasn't a large amount, Grim became hot inside Ug.

It could be unceremoniously said that nearly 80% of the essence of the trophies that Mary and the others had harvested by risking their lives and paying a huge price were concentrated in the few trophies in front of them.

This meant that Mary had only extracted the blood from the Feathered Serpent God's corpse, while sending the remaining valuable items to Grim.

Was it that Mary didn't understand the value of these trophies?

Not to mention, the source material was clearly extracted by the Feathered Serpent God from within the original source of the Hazen Position by virtue of its strange power. In order to prevent it from being contaminated by the exotic energy, the Feathered Serpent God was using the power of faith to carry it as a container.

And this purely natural, unpolluted source was clearly far better than the kind of source that was stored with single attribute elements or attribute-free crystals in the Wizard World. If the conversion was done, the source material in front of him was able to extract more than 3000 sith.

And last time, Grim had fought to the death to participate in a bloody battle against a 3rd rank peak wizard, and what he had obtained was only 500 Sith!

If Grim was fortunate enough to acquire two of these source qualities, then his path to advance to the 5th level would be unobstructed. The only thing left for him to do was to meditate day after day to raise his mental strength.

As long as his mental strength was up to standard, he would be able to advance to the 5th rank, everything would come naturally.

But unfortunately, there was only one piece of source material in front of him, and he had to find a way to find the other half in the next few hundred years.

And that, was the only thing that the vast majority of 4th rank witches were concerned about!

Valuing the source material and putting it away, Grim began to examine a few other trophies.

The body of the Feather Serpent God....

Although all the divine blood within had been drained, even the flesh* activity of the remains had been reduced.

But its value was still unspeakable!

This Feathered Serpent God had, after all, also been a 5th rank indigenous god, and although he had fallen down to 4th rank due to production, the immortal attribute of this flesh was still present. If the extraction method was reasonable and the means were gentle, this immortal characteristic seemed to be able to be transferred.

The so-called immortality was generally only possessed by high ranked creatures.

And here, high ranked creatures referred to extraordinary creatures of 4th rank or higher.

Creatures with an immortal body would not die due to any natural causes, they would not age, and they did not need to sleep, breathe or eat. Even if they were in an enclosed environment with zero magic, they could remain immortal for thousands of years and maintain that initial state forever.

Those 4th stage Body Refining Shamans polished their bodies by all means in order to precisely refine their torsos into immortal bodies. The only ones who were truly able to do this were those who were at the pinnacle of the 4th stage of the body refining shamans.

Thus, the value of this kind of immortal body to a sorcerer could be imagined!

If Grim was not going the route of an elemental sorcerer, I'm afraid that this immortal body would have an unparalleled allure for him as well. As for some form changes, they could be adjusted slowly through sorcery, or simply continue on in their inhuman form just like that.

To be honest, within the group of high ranked sorcerers, there weren't many who could still maintain their human form.

Although many 4th-ranked witches looked human and kind-eyed on a normal day, once they revealed their 'true bodies' in battle, that form was simply as frightening as it could be.

Not to mention others, let's talk about Grim.

His true battle form was that of a terrifying flame giant with a size of over ten meters.

Only such a form could contain the golden flames emanating from the Heart of Rule, and only such a form could fully bring out the terrifying power of the Legendary Fire Witch!

As for the usual human form, it's fine to say it's a disguise, and it's fine to say it's a low magic state.

In short, high level sorcerers were all inhuman!
