Age of Adepts

Chapter 1209 - Water Elemental Army

Menri Tiger is used to being a guy who sometimes acts like an idiot, even if he has a high IQ!

In order to lure that Faun Sen out of the Holy Land of the Magic Spore One Clan, even though Grim had long been aware that he was being used as a gun, the behavior of the other party like this 'demolishing the bridge before crossing the river' almost made him happy.

Being paranoid and colossal as an elemental creature, Grim had already experienced it.

Therefore, when that Water Prophet appeared on the scene, picking his nose and eyes to look for trouble, Grim went along with it and hid to the side, silently observing the other party's tactics.

But although this Prophet of Water was not too good in the head, it was really tough in its hands.

Not to mention, the number of water elemental armies that ran out from its elemental summoning hand alone made Grim's eyebrows couldn't help but jump straight.

Like the flame creatures that Grim had summoned before, there were only 400 to 500 at best. It was only with the existence of the Flame Gate that new flame creatures were able to pour out continuously, creating an inexhaustible effect of killing flame creatures on the battlefield.

But this Prophet of Water was really generous, waving his hand and directly summoning a large black expanse of water elements, a rough count of one to two thousand. Such an army of water elements, even if they were not of a high rank and only knew how to use a simple handful of water arrows, aggregated together would be a very considerable force.

Of course, such a force might be nothing in Grim's eyes.

But it was quite terrifying when it was used against the ogres who had no long-range attack skills and only had a handful of brute strength. Although there were a certain percentage of shaman priests in the ogre camp who were able to cast some simple spells, there were too few of them. Even this group of water elemental armies that were 'encountering Buddha** God to stop God' could only hold their heads in their hands and not even have the chance to fight back.

Under Grim's bystanders, all that could be heard was the 'whoosh...' sound of water arrows cracking everywhere in the large camp. This was accompanied by the painful howls of the Anglosh Ogres before they died.

It was true that the Anglosh Ogres had thick skin and flesh, and could even withstand seven or eight Water Elemental's water arrow attacks by rushing in front of them and smashing them one by one into a puddle of water stains. But carrying seven or eight was fine, carrying seventeen or eighteen was a bit too much!

The ogre warriors and barbarians couldn't stop roaring as they raised their wooden shields and stone hammers to protect their heads and other vital points, shrieking desperately as they rushed towards the water elements that had gathered into a ball not far away.

Whoosh, the dense water arrows came like rain, striking the wooden shields, stone hammers and their bodies with a puffing sound. Amongst the dense water arrows, there were also 'retardation' and 'water swamp' techniques thrown in passing by the high level water elements. Even though the ogres were roaring with resentment and their eyes were red, their feet were stuck in place like paste, and their speed was comparable to that of a tortoise.

The water elemental army's attack method was so simple: dense water arrows + retardation, but the effects of the attacks it reached were incredibly, terrifyingly high!

Their attack was not as fiery and intense as the flame creatures from the scene, but under the whoosh of the intense water arrows, the unlucky Angrosh ogres could only drink their hatred with gloom, and were deprived of any chance to resist all together.

Grim withdrew from his flame form and returned to his human form, silently observing the battle of the water elemental army.

Although he didn't have any affection for that cold-browed Water Prophet Lorenz, this Water Elemental Army summoned by the other party was truly amazing in battle. If he used the legion of flames he had summoned to fight against the other party's water elemental army, the victory would definitely be the other party.

It wasn't that the fire element couldn't do the water element, but the flame legion was just cannon fodder that Grim had temporarily summoned from a different realm, not his direct line of troops. The other side's water elemental army was advancing and retreating, and the few high-ranking water elements that acted as the core backbone also had good spiritual intelligence.

To fight someone else's regular army with miscellaneous cards, of course there was no victory or defeat!

However, if Grim was able to pull in a number of magic weapon troops from his family, he would be confident that he could completely crush these water elements.

"Battles rely on calm, steady and intelligent minds, you guys who play with fire are all too impulsive, it's hard to be good commanders..." seeing that the situation in front of him was vastly superior, Water Prophet Lorence couldn't help but talk up in a cheerful manner. But the f*cking flavor of the words still caused those who were interested to furrow their brows.

"Hmph, no matter how many lower ranks are just cannon fodder to be destroyed at will in the eyes of the strong. **The energy expended on so many little ones would be better used to strengthen oneself! Otherwise, how much help can these cannon fodder be once you meet an opponent of the same class?" Grim had long been displeased with this Water Prophet and rudely disguised himself directly.

Hearing Grim's reply, the Water Prophet's eyes couldn't help but narrow.

"From what Your Excellency is saying, your personal strength is going to be stronger than mine?"

"Not necessarily! But who can say for sure if they haven't even fought..." the Grim still looked like a cloud.

"You..."

Seeing that the fire in their words was getting stronger and stronger, the Swamp Wise Moat who was standing by the side of the pestle immediately had two heads, and hurriedly cut off, "Alright, alright, let's not discuss this yet. You see, that Golefus seems to have popped up again..."

As expected, in the middle of the ogre camp, the ogre chieftain Gore Firth, who had hastily hid and healed, emerged again. It was holding a thick stone stick that it had found from somewhere, and wielding it like the wind, it actually knocked out a small group of nearly a hundred water elementals in the blink of an eye.

Although those high-ranking water elements were also desperately brushing retardation techniques at it, unfortunately, the gap between the two sides' ranks was too wide, and most of the retardation techniques were directly resisted. Even if it was occasionally successful, the retardation effect wouldn't last more than half a second on it.

After only a short treatment, Gore Firth became alive again, shaking his bloated, fat body and trampling the ground with a thud. Wherever the stone sticks went, water splashed everywhere, and the rhythm of the water elemental army's attack was completely disrupted.

Those low-level water elements would even be directly strangled by the terrifying shockwaves as long as they came close to Gore Faith's side. This Ogre Chief, on the other hand, regardless, stiffly withstood hundreds of water arrow attacks, smashing a single high-ranked water elemental into scattered splashes of water.

It was still Gore Faith's while-at-hand war hammer that had been 'stolen' by Grim, otherwise, where the two flying hammers curled, the losses of this army of water elements would have been even greater!

"This Gore Firth is as brave as ever!" Grim couldn't help but clap his hands in admiration, and then swept a sidelong glance at Lorence, "What, some guy who lies just sits back and watches his own men get slaughtered? Hehe, Your Excellency summoned the water elemental army a few more times, you might actually have a chance to wear that ogre chief down!"

Hearing Grim's sarcastic words, Moat immediately cried out in his heart, but it was too late.

The Water Prophet Lorence snorted in anger and said sharply, "Don't think that only you who play with fire can rule the battlefield, the terrifying power of our Water Elemental is by no means something you can imagine. Now, I'll show you the power of our water elemental..."

With that said, Lorence instantly transformed into a wave and rushed into the battlefield with a loud clatter.

Wave form, this was the physical form of the Water Prophet when he moved quickly.

And its arrival also instantly drew the attention and vigilance of Gore Firth.

Both sides were veteran powerhouses of the Wet Swamp, so naturally they were familiar with each other.

Watching the wave clatter and roll up to his eyes, and then recoalesce into the form of a tall waterman, Gorefeather swung his stone stick and swung it as if it were flying, then abruptly made a sudden start and shouted in a harsh voice, "Lorence, are you trying to drive us Angloosh ogres to extinction?"

As they traveled over, the giant wave also wrapped up four or five ogre warriors.

Only then did he look down at the Ogre Chief and said calmly: "Gore Firth, withdraw from the alliance of the Demon Spore Clan and draw a clear line with them, I can allow you to continue to survive in the Wetland Swamp. Otherwise..."

As soon as the word otherwise was uttered, Lorence waved his hands, and from the surrounding ponds, waterways, and mudflats flew out large clouds of mist that coalesced into thousands of strange water arrows of substantial size in the air. The cold arrows flickered under the dull sky light, slowly reorienting themselves, all aiming at the club-holding Gore Fes.

Gore Firth's face immediately turned very ugly.

The water arrows summoned by the Water Prophet Lorenz and the water arrows summoned by the low-level water elements, that couldn't be the same.

In the battle just now, Gore Faith had been able to slay hard against hundreds of water arrows, relying on his own bloated and fat body and terrible elemental resistance. Those water arrows of low-level water elements couldn't even penetrate the surface of its skin and would explode into a cloud of water stains.

Thus no matter how many there were, it wouldn't be afraid!

But the water arrows summoned by the Water Prophet Lorence were so solidly rooted, with the abundance of water elements imbibed within them, that even Gore Faith's brows would furrow at the slightest perception. Being shot by thousands of such water arrows... Even with the Ogre Chief's terrifying power, his heart would tremble and his eyes would show fear.

However, just as the Ogre Chief was in a dilemma, not knowing what to choose, a low, muffled voice suddenly sounded from within the battlefield.

"Lorence, after hundreds of years of slumber, I see that your brain is turning to mush. Helping outsiders deal with their partners in the Wet Swamp, this is what you Water Prophet did? Hmmm..."

With the sound of voices, the mist scattered in the distance, and two equally tall and terrifying figures stepped into the fray by stepping through the mud.

Faunson and Krach...the two of them had finally arrived!

Grim's pupils shrank, his mind finally becoming settled.
