Age of Adepts

Chapter 1226 - Journey of Flame

The strength of the Fire Elemental Plane could only be experienced by those who experienced it firsthand.

The Fire Elemental Plane is huge and vast, covering an area more than ten times the size of the Sorcerer's World, and it is continuing to expand and expand.

The Fire Elemental Plane was not as serene and peaceful as it appeared on the surface.

Although the Fire Elemental plane does not invade sub-dimensions like the Sorcerer's World, it has invaded several famous civilizations in the past few hundred thousand years after its birth.

The versions of the stories were different, but the flow of plot development was strikingly similar.

They were all about some powerful race coming out of nowhere and invading and occupying one weak civilization after another. When the strength of their civilization develops to a certain level, they can't help but focus on the Fire Elemental Plane that possesses endless 'weapons' and flame energy.

Past successes and victories had caused the powerful races to lose their minds and get carried away, deluding themselves into conquering and enslaving the elemental plane, using it as a resource plane they could take at will, and using it as a warp to invade other worlds.

They have undoubtedly overestimated their own power and underestimated the potential of the elemental plane!

When they opened a bit gate in their own origin world that led straight to the elemental realm, deluding themselves into the elemental plane, terrifying elemental creatures, driven by those elemental lords, elemental kings, and elemental masters, poured into this new world in a steady stream.

Those madmen's dream of dominating the elemental realm did not come true, but instead, their home world became a land where billions of elemental creatures ravaged.

The direct connection between the two worlds also triggered the conflict of laws between the two planes. Thus, under the assimilation of the Laws and the invasion of a vast amount of elements, the internal environment of the new plane changed drastically.

Gradually, the new plane was assimilated by the elemental plane and deeply merged with it under the pull of the Law of Singularity.

As a result, the new plane disappeared, while the elemental plane invariably grew much stronger.

In the long development of the history of the Plane, there had been countless powerful creatures and races that wanted to challenge and conquer the Elemental Plane. But without exception, they had all become stepping stones for the 'passive' expansion of the elemental plane.

Thus walking on the Fire Elemental Plane, Grim was a complete eye-opener, seeing countless flame creatures, as well as a huge number of half-elemental creatures.

Most of these half-elemental creatures were new races formed after the native creatures of those failed planes had been assimilated, and such guys were obviously impossible to record all of them in the Sorcerer's Journal, so they were quite valuable to collect and study.

The exquisite and bizarre scenery of the Dust and Fire Canyon, the dangerous and treacherous Sea of Ashes, the **Holy Fire Altar with countless flame creatures worshipping, the huge volcanoes with black clouds spewing thick smoke and dust.......

It was true that the environment of the entire Fire Elemental Plane was too harsh and cruel for ordinary Plane creatures to survive here. But this did not mean that the number of creatures on the Fire Elemental Plane was rare, on the contrary, the number of creatures on the Fire Elemental Plane was to some extent even far greater than the ordinary Material Plane.

After all, most of the material plane's biological races, especially the intelligent ones, were far from being able to compare to elemental creatures in terms of their rate of reproduction and habitation.

While traveling through the Fire Elemental Plane, Grim had more than once seen a sudden red flash within a certain strange fire elemental convergence point, and then a primary fire spirit, the most common in the Fire Elemental Plane, was strangely born!

Grim had also tried to analyze and study the origin of the birth of fire elemental creatures, but was isolated by the violent and frenzied will of the vast world, making it difficult for him to peek into the deepest hidden secrets of the Elemental Plane.

After all, he was not a native creature here, and his soul consciousness had always resisted the encroachment of the impulsive, violent and rigid consciousness of the Fire Elemental Plane. A sorcerer was a profession that valued wisdom, and could never easily give his body and mind over to those instinctive emotional changes that could be easily manipulated.

It was because of such a professional trait that also made Grim always seem out of place here.

Unless he let go of his mind and was willing to accept the intrusion of the origin of the bitonal consciousness here. Otherwise, he would always be an outsider in the Fire Elemental Plane and would not be able to fully integrate into it.

But now that he had the Fire God Pearl, he had a stable and solid spiritual connection with that hazy illusory yet real existent bit consciousness. Every day in the Fire Elemental Plane, he was able to obtain a number of vague flame perceptions from everything and every life he came into contact with.

These, in turn, pushed Grim's mastery of the Laws of Flame from one side to the other!

After all, the Fire Elemental Plane was the coveted original place of origin for all flame creatures, as well as Plane creatures that practiced the Fire Law. Only here could they obtain those things that they truly wanted.

Grim walked through this continent of flames as he wished, and all he could smell with every breath was the pure and clean 'air' of the Fire Elemental Plane. This kind of air might turn a normal human's trachea and alveoli into charcoal in an instant, but to Grim, it was so warm and comfortable.

Taking a deep breath, the entire chest cavity had an indulgent and exotic feeling like drinking good wine.

No people, no chores, no need to worry about the enemy, no need to pay attention to the changes of the world, alone in this land of origin, unrestrained, whatever you want... This strange feeling of doing whatever you want is something that no other environment can give.

On the edge of a relatively flat cliff at the edge of the Sky Rift Canyon, Grim stopped and began to prepare a hearty 'dinner' for himself.

In the Fire Elemental Plane, the sky was always a dark red with waves of fire, and there was no division between day and night at all. Therefore, whether this full meal belonged to breakfast, lunch, or dinner, even Grim couldn't decide.

As a 4th rank Fire Witch, his entire body and spirit could be instantly elementalized, which meant that the physiological and survival needs necessary for flesh and blood were compressed to the extreme. Waiting a month or two without eating wouldn't threaten his life, but out of human habit, Grim would still eat once a week to sustain the pleasures of flesh and blood.

Setting up a soup pot, lighting a campfire, making a simple and quick pot of mushroom soup, and throwing in a few pieces of appropriately sized dragon ribs... the aroma of this small camp was immediately overwhelming, making one's appetite whet one's appetite after a single sniff.

Just as Grim filled a bowl full of soup with the intention of gorging on it, the steaming fire mist beside it parted Ug, and out of it came a somewhat old-looking, rickety body of a strange fire spirit.

"Smells good! It's rare for a noble guest to descend on the Heaven's Rift Canyon, so I wonder if the old man can dawdle here for a while?" This strange fire spirit was clearly different, as other fire spirits' bodies and faces were all blurred, making it difficult to distinguish any specific features. However, not only was the outline of this fire spirit's eyebrows clearly recognizable, even its behavior was similar to that of a noble in the human world.

What was even more alarming was that the breath of flame energy emanating from its body was also of the 4th rank.

"Since meeting is destiny, Your Excellency can eat some together if you don't mind!" Grim smiled in response.

"That's affectionate." That old fire spirit immediately became beaming, "To be honest, I heard from the nearby descendants that a traveler from a different realm was wandering and staying here, and I just wanted to sneak over to take a look. It's just that I didn't expect your guest's food to be so delicious, and that's what caused the old man to pull down his face and come out to dawdle!"

After a few quick explanations, the old fire spirit sat down beside the campfire with a big thorn in his side as he lifted his nose and sniffed, and couldn't help but exclaim, "It sure smells good! Only you foreign travelers can bring in such exotic delicacies..."

Receiving the chopsticks, the old fire spirit was not polite, chatting with Grim as he enjoyed the delicious meal with great pleasure.

Fire Dragon meat filled with the essence of strange flames, exotic mushrooms that could improve the life factors of high-grade creatures, soup that contained forty-one strange seasonings... Such a delicious meal was extremely precious even in the Sorcerer World, and I was afraid that every bite was worth a lot.

And the total value of this full pot, even by rough estimation, was over two hundred thousand magic crystals, enough to purchase a small wizard tower.

"Painful... Painful... I've never tasted such a delicious broth in my life. The meat is fire dragon meat, it should be 3rd grade, and it really is that tasty... But what is contained in this mushroom soup? How come I've never tasted it before... Is it a different species that Your Excellency has bred?" The old fire spirit was worthy of being a knowledgeable person, and discerned a lot of content based on the taste alone.

"This mushroom is an exotic species that I obtained from the Spirit Realm, capable of boosting the basic activity of higher-ranked creatures..." the Grim didn't sell or conceal anything, and looked calm as he simply explained a few words.

"No wonder after pouring this broth down my throat, my whole body feels so relaxed, as if I just went to soak inside the Sea of Ashes. So thank you for your guest's hospitality!" The old fire spirit couldn't help but gape inwardly, "I can't just take advantage of you either, come... take a look at these things, which ones are useful to you, feel free to take them..."

With that, the old fire spirit casually opened a crack in the void and took out a few strange items and placed them in front of Grim .

Fire Marrow Stones that were the size of pebbles, quietly burning with bright yellow flames....

The Egg of the Earth Fire Dragon, the size of a human head, with a surface covered in strange magical patterns....

It was the size of a fist and seemed like a solid flame of strange crystals....

There was a fire ant queen...there was a lava behemoth heart core...there was a flame nucleus....

Grim scrutinized silently with a twinkle in his eyes.
