Age of Adepts

Chapter 1234 - Torment of Affection

It was a spacious and bright sorcery hall.

The entire wall on one side of the hall was inlaid with countless rune crystals, each crystal shining with a faint glow and projecting a strange picture. All of the images were pieced together to form a strange wall of countless gestures.

Most of the images had a wizard, male or female, silently watching the place, looking as if they were in different places in the background. There is also a small half of the image that is black and doesn't seem to establish the proper connection.

In the center of the crystal wall, a white-robed wizard with an old-fashioned peaked hat, an old face, a pair of tortoiseshell glasses pinned to the bridge of his nose, and a silver-white beard hanging down to his chest under his jaw, heaved his wand and questioned loudly, "Say, you've all been investigating for so long, it's about time you came to a conclusion! What did that fire witch want to run to us?"

The many sorcerers in the many images on the curtain wall were also all busy in their own ways, with only a single distraction on this side.

Several high-ranking wizards in various robes and uniforms bowed and saluted in front of the elderly white-robed wizard, and after a glance at each other, one person finally stepped forward to speak.

It was a weird male witch wearing black armor and a clown mask, and looking at his figure and qualifications, he was also of the 3rd rank.

"Lord Domnall, based on the information reported by the monitoring team and the results sent back by the prophecy team, it seems that Grim came to our Eastern Region to look for someone!"

"Looking for someone...looking for who? Inside or outside the organization?"

"The group...within the organization!"

"Oh, who is it?"

Hearing the conversation between the vice president and the clown boy, many of the wizards in the picture were intrigued and began to bet their attention on it.

"O...Lord Olivia!" The clown wizard couldn't help but lower his head at this point, and there seemed to be a slow flow of cold sweat beneath his mask.

"Olivia..."

"Hey, when did he meet Olivia?"

"Yeah, Olivia, have you ever dealt with that fire witch?"

For a time, the voices of discussion were everywhere, and many witches couldn't help but poke fun at them.

In the middle of the curtain wall, a projection screen showed a beautiful, tall witch with black hair and a golden ring on her head, who was lazily lying on her bed, listening to the conversation in the hall.

But when that clown wizard said that name, she sat upright, and her beautiful, gentle face suddenly became serious and condensed.

"Shut up, all of you!" The young witch suppressed the gloating of many of her colleagues with a low sigh before turning her gaze to the clown boy witch, the inside of her purple pupils fluorescing and filled with the terrifying awe of a 4th rank witch, "You said that the legendary fire witch is here to find me?"

Under the torturing witch's terrifying gaze, that clown boy witch instantly sweated coldly and forced a smile, "My lord, I didn't say that, but the result of the unanimous prophecy of the seven members of the prophecy group, there shouldn't be any mistakes..."

"Legendary Fire Witch...Grim...Crimson Family..." the young witch's eyebrows rose high and repeatedly The murmuring of the words seemed to be a mental search for a memory related to them.

Unfortunately, no matter how much she tried to stir it up, it was always blank.

Aside from having heard of some of the legendary fire witch's 'great achievements', she couldn't seem to find anything that was relevant or connected to her.

"Olivia, you... know that fire witch?" The aged white wizard frowned in question.

"No acquaintance...no previous contact!" The young witch snapped.

"That's good!" The white-robed sorcerer Domnall, who was the vice president, was clearly relieved: "This Grim has been making a lot of noise in the middle of the continent these past few decades. It is said that he has gathered a considerable force, and that Crimson Family has become the only superpower in all of Scattered Tallinn. Many rumors have it that he will likely become the core of power in the middle of the continent... To be honest, there are discussions within the association on how to deal with this guy!"

"And what do you mean?"

"Since this guy has come to our east, we naturally need to take this opportunity to get in touch with him and observe his development potential along the way. If he's as powerful as the rumors say, the association should indeed consider suppressing this Crimson Family..."

"I don't care if you arrange the actions of the Association. But since this fellow is here to see me, I'm going to meet him and see what he really means. I'll try his depths for you, too, if necessary." The young Olivia was proud.

"So very good. Then I will arrange for a few people to assist you and give you a hand..."

"No, aren't you worried about my strength? I don't care if he used to be a dragon or a worm, he'll be mud when he comes to me!"

With that said, the light screen Olivia was on went dark in Woodlands, apparently having been disconnected from the Witchcraft Hall.

When Olivia went offline, the intent witches immediately began to talk about it. Apparently, they all couldn't wait to see a Martian-like spectacular show.

After all, the association had over forty rank 4 sorcerers, and that Olivia was definitely able to squeeze into the top ten.

Clashing head-on with such strength against a small fire witch from a 'poor countryside', no one would look favorably on that so-called 'legendary fire witch'!

...................

After casually waving out the voodoo crystal, Olivia slumped down on the soft couch and silently contemplated.

This was a beautifully decorated and magnificent lounge, and the cloth inside was even richer and more luxurious, filled with the kind of extravagant and ostentatious exotic style of the high-ranking nobles.

And when the boundary of silence disappeared, through the thick golden oak door panels, the noisy and lively sounds of musical instruments and tidal waves of vibrations from the banquet hall downstairs flooded into the room, making Olivia couldn't help but frown slightly.

However, before she could do anything, the two sturdy golden oak doors burst open with a powerful crash, and from outside three young men and women chasing and playing broke in.

The young man at the head of the group was fair and handsome, with a strong and sturdy figure, and a gorgeous black witch's robe that was well cut and made him look even more talented.

From the style and shape of his robe, as well as the exquisite magic threads and magical gems decorating the corners, one could tell that it was not a standard model issued by the Sorcerer's Association, but a specially made, high-grade product. This alone showed that this person's family was richly endowed, which was really astonishing.

It was a pity that he didn't care for such an exquisite robe; traces of wine and grease could be seen on the front and corners of the robe. And he was clearly drunk at the moment, holding two feminine looking and hot witches in his arms as he laughed loudly and slumped into the house.

All three of them were no more than 1st rank....

The two young witches were still laughing and enjoying themselves, but when they saw Olivia with a frosty face in the room, they shuddered and hastily bowed, their faces cowering in fear at the same time.

The young wizard, although he was only a rank 1, didn't look the least bit afraid or terrified when he suddenly saw Olivia. He shrugged off his two fellow witches, tilted towards the 4th rank witch, grabbed a handful of the other's sleeve corner, and shook it violently.

"Sister... Sister... So this is where you hid... I say... . how come I didn't see you in the hall!" The young wizard, already too drunk to support his body, fell half on top of Olivia's body, his mouth full of heavy liquor spraying directly into her face.

"You guys go down!" Olivia said coldly.

The two rank 1 witches hurriedly bowed and carefully exited the room, and closed the wooden door again.

Olivia sighed and raised her hands to wrap them around the young male witch's head, and as the sorcery fluctuated together, a faint yellow wine gas seeped out of the other's skin pores and recoiled into a cloud of wine between her palms.

After the wine gas was drained away, the young male witch shivered violently and instantly regained consciousness.

"Sister, how come it's you!" The young Welsh couldn't help but hold his head, still in the throes of a severe headache from his rotten drunkenness.

"Wales, you should know that losing your sober and calm mind because of drinking is a big no-no for us wizards!" Olivia was full of reproach, but she didn't act as coldly as her words, instead taking the initiative to massage and rub the corners of her forehead for the other woman.

"Just leave me alone, sister!" That Welsh looked up and laughed miserably, "Ha, what can a loser like me do even if I keep a clear and cool head every day? Is there room for improvement?"

Olivia's hands stiffened, and a miserable look appeared on her face.

This biological brother's talent potential was so poor that he was simply a sorcery insulator. Even though Olivia had spent countless resources and a huge price, he had only raised his strength to the 1st rank intermediate level.

At this point, he had reached the limit of his strength development. No matter how many resources were thrown down, not even a single sound could be heard, much less bring him the slightest bit of progress.

"Wales, don't give up on yourself. Believe in my sister, I will find something that will improve your qualifications and allow you to continue living!" Olivia stroked his face a little painfully.

Wales smiled miserably and shook his head, "Sister, you've said this thousands of times, and you know that my qualifications are no longer able to improve by half a step. I'm now 337 years old, and if it wasn't for the life extension ritual you performed on me decades ago, I'm afraid I would have become a mound of withered bones by now. Now... my soul has been strengthened so many times that it has long since reached the limit of what it can endure. Even if you find better and more useful life extension treasures in the future, my soul will no longer be able to withstand it."

"So, sister, stop forcing me to meditate and study witchcraft, I'm simply not cut out for it. With this time, you might as well let me indulge and spend the last of my life in pain..."

With that, Wales gently pushed a ghastly looking Olivia away and stumbled out of the room again.

Behind him, Olivia closed her eyes in pain.
