Age of Adepts

Chapter 1292 - Flames and Undead

The crowd was silent.

Even though they knew that the Crimson Clan had hidden a large number of Magic Weapons, when they saw with their own eyes the army of nearly ten thousand Magic Weapons stepping in lock step like a torrent of steel pouring into the battlefield, the terrifying visual impact and shock was still hard to suppress even though they tried to hide it.

Damn, how come there are so many....

Has this Crimson Family mined the entire Goblin Plane for its steel?

It must be known that in an ordinary material plane, ten tons of hundred tons of ordinary steel would be quenched and extracted by sorcery means before one could obtain roughly one ton of Hundred Refined Fine Steel.

The strength and hardness of this refined steel was only as strong as the outer shell of the puppet, and the only way to obtain magical alloys with excellent magical conductivity and sufficient hardness was to synthesize them little by little in the alchemy laboratory.

Because of these limitations, the large-scale refining of metal puppets is a work that consumes a lot of steel resources and requires a large number of low-level alchemists. In the entire Sorcerer World, except for the Silver Alliance which was able to use metal puppets so extravagantly to replace low-level labor and cannon fodder, the other two major Sorcerer Organizations still used Sorcerer Troops and Sorcerer Beasts as their main war effort.

But the appearance of this huge army of magic weapons in front of them had clearly overturned the perception of most of the witches, and made them once again certain that the Crimson Family must possess a method or means to cheaply create metal magic weapons.

Regardless of how these sorcerers perceived the Magic Armament Army, various troops belonging to the Crimson Family began to appear.

They all came in floating giant ships.

As the ten floating giant ships hovered above the battlefield, a large number of distinctive wizards jumped down from the high flight decks and filled in the gaps of the Magic Armament army.

The most notable among them was a goblin organist warrior corps that numbered up to seven hundred.

Goblins... in the eyes of most witches, this was a synonym for low and lowly, and was also 'food' that many witch towers kept in captivity to serve as live experiments or to feed to witch beasts.

But now, these lowly fellows who were worse than slaves, worse than even witch beasts, were riding on tall and powerful battle demons and maneuvering them through the battlefield. Watching their skilful movements and listening to their hideously hyperactive shrieks, many witches felt their three views crumbling and howling....

What's wrong with the world, how even the 'food' and 'experiments' have jumped out in revolt....

Soon, however, the witches' attention was drawn to another strange force of witches.

Flame creatures numbering up to over two thousand were entrenched together, almost causing the area they were in to burn into a huge sea of fire. And as one looked around, the quality of the members of this flame army was even more mind-blowing.

In the past, even if Grim gave his all, the highest flame creatures summoned were only 2nd rank advanced. But within this Flame Legion, I'm afraid that the weakest one had the power of a 2nd stage beginner, and the most powerful fellow was a terrifying Flame Lord with 4th stage intermediate strength.

This Flame Lord was at the forefront of the group, his body quietly burning with golden flames, and he was a powerful existence that had already mastered the basic flame laws.

This was not a flame summoning at all, but a flame army... a complete and utter flame army.

As everyone was examining this Flame Legion, that Flame Lord had just finished his conversation with Grim.

"By order of the Flame Lords, I have come to help you in your battle! Human sorcerers, point out our enemies! Besides, Lord Gromus said that it was pleased with your gift. It is willing to continue its relationship with you if you can still find the source of the Living Water in the future..."

The Flame Lord's voice was a jar, but it was very straightforward, and it didn't have the sneaky bad habits of other mercenaries. Almost to the point where he was asking where his enemies were, and acting like he was hurrying to finish the fight and go home to sleep.

"Don't worry, Your Excellency Grissom, your enemies are mainly those special wizard forces guarding the perimeter of the War Witch Tower. But before you can engage in battle, I need to have another friend clear out all of these obstructive witch beasts in front of you. As soon as the ranks of the Witch Beasts are scattered, your troops can start attacking. The battle will only be a little easier then when you guys clear out the witch troops and my army of magic weapons attack the War Witch Tower..."

"Wow, you mean you've invited someone else besides our reinforcements? They are..." the Flame Lord Grissom couldn't help but ask curiously. Don't look at its silly and stupid appearance was just a tall lava giant, a guy that could reach the 4th stage's intelligence level wasn't too low.

Seriously speaking, when compared to a fellow sorcerer, high level elemental creatures were not weaker in the hard attribute of intelligence. The only thing they lacked was years and years of accumulated wisdom and a thousand years of sinister cunning.

"As Your Excellency may have heard, our academy employs a famous Witch Demon. And through it, I have successively made acquaintance with some powerful Wraiths who are famous in all your facets. Thus, the other mercenary corps is..." as soon as Grim's voice paused, a dizzying change occurred on the far flank of the Crimson Family's Magic Armament army.

Three bizarre figures with their entire bodies rolled up under black robes appeared there.

They raised their arms and their robes slid down, revealing fluorescent white, snow-like skull hand bones. They floated half a meter off the ground in the void, gathered into a ball, and loudly chanted a strange and mysterious magic spell.

As the syllables of the spell rose higher and higher, a pitch-black dot of light slowly appeared in the middle of them, and continued to stretch and extend. The surrounding earth began to tumble, from which an astonishing number of white bones poured out, and quickly flew around the black light curtain to build a skeletal gate ten meters high and five meters wide.

The dense dead qi gathered near the Skeleton Gate at an astonishing speed, and gathered into a tumbling and shaking cloud that rose into the sky, completely blotting out the sunlight that was cast from the sky.

And when everything was ready, the Skeleton Gate and the Torn Dead Space combined together, forming a stable temporary bit of passage.

In the next second, the black light curtain rippled with dead air, and a skeleton frame with a size of 7 meters and a skeletal giant sword dragged upside down in his hand walked out of the light curtain.

It was a skeleton general with 2nd stage advanced strength. By looking at its tough bone armor covered with sharp bone spines and the green soul fire burning in its empty eye sockets, one could tell the terrifying pressure it could bring to the enemy once it stepped on the battlefield.

Ever since the Skeleton General's debut, the black curtain of light had never stopped.

A gray dead qi vibrated and fluctuated, and every time it was swallowed and swallowed, it added a group of terrifying undead creatures with great strength and a hideous appearance to the arena.

Undead ghosts, black warriors, skeleton monsters, scythe demons, abominations, undead knights, ghouls, necromancers, bone dragons... Apart from these mid to high level undead, the most numerous were the skeletal warriors with bone helmets, bone armor, bone shields, and bone swords, as well as the ghouls that resembled drowned dead people everywhere....

As if directly connected to a terrifying skeletal plane, a steady stream of undead stepped out of the black curtain of light and began to pour towards the distant Dennel Family position, driven by those mid- to high-ranked undead.

High-ranked Wraiths and their legions of undead....

In the Gravel Canyon Fortress, several rank 4 witches couldn't help but silently frown.

There was no guy who could become a Witch Demon below rank 4.

This also meant that there were somehow three more rank 4 Wraiths and a rank 4 Flame Lord inside the opposing camp. With such powerful foreign aid, how much did that Grim spend to bring them over.

Of course, in the Wizard World, a 4th rank Wraith wasn't even the slightest bit afraid of these Wraiths.

Here, even 4th rank Wraiths were subject to the terrifying suppression of the Laws of the Position, and the basic battle power they could exert wasn't enough to scare off a few Wraiths.

However, they were secretly impressed with that legendary Fire Witch's vast dealings.

Wanting to make friends with a bit powerhouse like the Witch and the Flame Lords... you're not qualified if you don't have a hard enough life!

Without the strong power to deter them, I'm afraid that every time they cooperate, they will only end up losing their lives and money.

And that legendary fire witch is capable of dealing with so many evil creatures and tyrannical and cruel elemental creatures at the same time without dying.

It was amidst the endless and infinite sighs of the crowd that the war that had been going on for so long finally broke out....

The first to step into the battlefield are naturally the ghouls that run and leap as if flying.

Although they are thin and slender, their exposed muscle fibers are as thick and tough as steel wires. They run like hounds, lying prone on the ground, with great speed. All it takes to encounter an obstacle is a leap, and their sharp finger claws and foot claws can climb over it with a little borrowed strength.

From afar, the tens of thousands of ghouls were like a white wave that instantly swallowed up the gaps between the battlefields and rushed to the front of the Witch Beast Legion.

Thirty War Witch Towers began to function at the same time, majestic and vast magical energy surging like a torrent over the towers, lighting up one witch formation and rune after another.

Layers of elemental protection overlapped each other, firmly guarding the witch towers inside. Then the attacking witch formations also lit up one after another, converging under the guidance of the war sorcerer into one incredibly powerful elemental sorcery after another, descending on the most densely populated areas of the ghouls.

The thunderstorm was like an apocalyptic catastrophe, as dozens of silver lightning bolts as thick as two meters fell from the sky, and all the ghouls in the area covered by the lightning would be turned into ashes in an instant, not even the scraps of bones could be found.

The ice descended to the front of the battlefield and held up a world of ice, with an uncountable number of ice and frost swords falling from the sky, pinning the ghouls that had fallen in directly to the spot.

The different forms of elemental sorcery wreaked havoc on the battlefield, instantly clearing away the ghouls at the forefront.
