Age of Adepts

Chapter 1341 - Accidental Reversal

"No...."

The aftermath of the heart-rending roar was throbbing, but it was no longer possible to stop the most terrifying scene from becoming a reality.

The fully fused with Keslingborg was no less powerful, and even to a certain extent, the revitalized Terror Stone Giant's combat power was far above that of the Golden Titan.

Without the flaw of not being able to stay away from the Earth Vein Node, I'm afraid that this guy could definitely become a nightmare for all super-powered people!

Even if it was one against two, and at the same time fighting the Magic Puppet Dragon and the Brontosaurus, the transformed Freed wasn't too disadvantaged. He even suppressed the Demonic Puppet Dragon at one point in the scene.

However, the 'pseudo-superpower' that was forcibly raised using certain forbidden means couldn't become real after all. As long as it was purposefully targeted, any tiny flaw in the battle system, or a chronic disease in the fetus, would leak out and cause the entire system to collapse.

The same was true of the transformed Freed.

At least in his case, there were two chronic flaws that were never easy to remedy and reconcile: the inseparability of the earth node for battle performance and the excessive depletion of the host's life energy to drive such a large lifeform.

Either of these two flaws could be fatal enough to be caught by the enemy, let alone have both co-exist!

Thus, not long after Mary hadn't entered the pit, the earth began to shake and tremble violently.

That towering, majestic stone mountain that seemed like an ancient giant coming back to life also crumbled in a tremble. The massive amount of steel rock that had lost its earth elemental power restraint crashed onto the ground like a collapsing giant mountain, raising mushroom-shaped columns of dust hundreds of meters high.

And amidst the dust, Fried's miserable and hoarse howls of pain could be heard.

It couldn't be helped, after fusing with Keslinburg, this terrifying stone giant's body had become Fried's torso. Now that the stone giant was drained of its energy and its entire body collapsed down, the Fried who had fused with it was no less than having his skin and bones ripped out and suffering a terrifying torture of overkill.

Mistaken for a 4th rank wizard with unparalleled mental toughness, I'm afraid this would be enough to cause Fried's spirit to collapse and turn him into a complete idiot!

Even so, the painful shock of that moment was still unbearable for Fried, and the entire battlefield was haunted by his miserable and terrifying shrieks.

What frightened him even more was the fact that the alchemist Kirthlin, who had been born through sorcery, had already possessed independent consciousness and intelligence, and had even taken advantage of his weak mental state to frantically seize control of his consciousness.

His spiritual power, his subject consciousness, his sorcery knowledge, his emotional memories... everything had become a battlefield for both sides to fight to the death. Every memory, every emotion, every strand of insight... these things that had belonged exclusively to him in the past had now turned out to be 'common goods' for both sides.

For the first time, Fried, who had originally fused to occupy the main advantage, felt utter dread.

He discovered that that damned 'Keslin' was not only encroaching on his memories and emotions, but also erasing his existence. If everything about himself was taken away from him, then everything that the symbol of Fried represented would cease to exist, and there would be a new life in the world with his complete memories, emotions, and knowledge - Kirthlin!

"No... you bastard, it's all mine..."

A new war erupted low in the crumbling, crumbling stone hills, and the revitalized Keslin Fortress continued to wriggle and struggle. All the portals and stone windows leading to the outside world had been closed, and the walls and tunnels that had been stoned were suddenly covered with a soft, fleshy, soft film, filled with a wet, sticky, strange alchemical solution that resembled the large and small intestines of a living organism.

Those Entom Family Wizards who were originally guarding the various chambers and strongholds in Keslin Fortress Woodlands were frightened to discover that they were already surrounded by this terrifying fleshy soft film. And as soon as their bodies came into contact with the soft film, they would be glued to it and then melt away bit by bit.

For every witch that melted away, 'Keslin' could thus gain everything the other party had: vast mental strength, fragments of knowledge, emotional memories, and various perceptions of sorcery!

And naturally, those powerful Entom Sorcerers wouldn't rest on their laurels, as they pulled out their wands and wands, took out their scrolls and secret treasures, and began to desperately attack the Kirthlin Castle.

For a while, the already ruined Kirthlin Castle was filled with the roar of sorcery, and the splendid fireworks of elemental explosions could be seen everywhere.

But unfortunately, the Kirthlin that had long been intent on devouring it all would not let them escape their bodies. A specially modulated and powerful witch beast poured out of the castle's secret passageways and attacked the witches, taking advantage of the gap in their confinement that made it difficult for them to move.

The war was at a fever pitch almost from the start!

One moment, the Entom Wizards were still fighting bravely, battling the incoming Crimson Family in blood. And the next moment, they were fighting even more valiantly, but they were fighting against their former 'companions' and 'teammates'.

No, to be more precise, they used to be fighting, but now, they were fighting for their lives!

To keep their little lives, to keep their memories and emotions alive, to keep the existence they once had...they really fought hard!

Even many witches chose to blow themselves up at the moment of their defeat.

They'd rather have everything they own fall to pieces and cease to exist than for them to fall into the hands of the 'enemy' and become toys for them to transform and knead at will!

Unfortunately, however, their sacrifice was destined to be of no value.

As early as the moment of defeat, the revitalized Keslingberg had closed itself off.

Since then, Fort Kesling had become a small, completely enclosed space. Any souls and consciousnesses that died in battle here could not escape, and could only cower and hide in the east, waiting for the moment to come when they would be devoured and digested.

And in the most central chamber of Kirthlin Castle, the fight between 'Kirthlin' and Fried to the death was still going on.

Even though Freed has very little life left, barely surviving another 40 or 50 years, he still doesn't want to give it all up, much less become someone else's graft for everything he's worked so hard to get for nearly a thousand years.

Two spiritual consciousnesses of completely different nature and form were deadly entangled in the chamber space, vying for the consciousness dominance of this fused and powerful alchemical being.

If one side wins, the other can only sink for eternity....

Therefore, there is no peace, no coexistence, only victory and defeat and life and death!

...................

There was a loud sound of gravel sliding and collapsing.

The rocks above the stack of collapsed boulders were lifted and plucked away to reveal the crushed and twisted somewhat deformed Keslin Castle below.

It was just rather odd that all the doors and windows of the entire Kirthlin Castle had disappeared, leaving the empty appearance of a five-story castle on display, but no halfway entrance into it could be found.

Knock knock....

The shattered steel rocks were all thrown out, and eventually, that Kirthlin Castle, buried beneath the rocky mountain, rose up into the sky, exposed to hundreds and hundreds of pairs of curious and puzzled eyes.

"Master, what's wrong with this castle? Do you need me to break it up for you?" The 4th rank Thunder Lord Ames stared at this strange alchemical castle with his huge dragon pupils, staring at it curiously, a little bit out of nowhere.

Did that Fred foolishly think he could protect himself by closing up the castle?

He's a 4th level wizard! ... not so stupid, right?

Muttering inwardly, Ames reached out with his sharp, razor-sharp dragon claws to gently fiddle with this alchemical castle. The scent of sorcery emanating from it made it feel a little frightened, as if something extremely terrible was happening inside the castle!

"Yeah, Grim...what happened to that Freed? Why is his soul breath getting weaker?" This time it was Mary, the Blood Queen, who had just emerged from the ground.

She was covered in dirt and dust, and even her long, flowing hair was stained with dirt. However, she looked aroused and leaping, and in her right hand she was tossing a colorless, textured stone.

Every time the stone gently vibrated, it emitted a stream of extremely pure magic energy from it, and one could feel the fullness and abundance of magical power when one sniffed it.

"An energy jewel?! And it's still an energy jewel that's about to metamorphose into a world stone!" Always a lover of exotic treasures, Ames' entire dragon pupil immediately turned into a golden jewel-like appearance, and his huge nose leaned over to take a fierce sniff and inhale, roaring out in surprise.

In the next moment, Ames rose to his feet and screamed in a long dragon's voice, "Master, I want this stone..."

Grim, who was slowly drifting down from the Vassailo, snorted in a bad mood.

"That's Mary's booty! Talk to her if you want...don't delay me in appraising this alchemical castle!"

As soon as Ames's gaze shifted to Mary, the other 'spoke' the terms in the most beautiful and elegant silent spoken language.

"Five thousand pounds of dragon blood..."

Ames turned a huge shade of pale and immediately gave her a big middle finger back!

Ignoring Ames and Mary's 'frolicking' at the side, Grim Gong gathered his eyes, his pupils penetrating with intense blue mane, slowly sweeping the interior of the still huge Kirthlin Castle.

First, he was shocked, then he shook his head and sighed, and finally a light sneer filled with strong irony appeared on Grim's face....

"Is that Fred in there, teacher? What do you think...do we need to attack in?" Flapping her red dragon wings and maintaining her half-human, half-dragon form, Meryl slowly approached the battlefield and asked her teacher softly.

Everything that was happening on the 4-step battlefield was too unbelievable for her!

So far, she was clueless as to how the battle had begun, how it had developed, and even how it had ended. And the only thing she knew was that the biggest enemy of this Crimson Expedition might be hiding inside the odd castle in front of her.

It was just that... her teacher's expression at the moment was also so odd that it was completely baffling!

Is this a victory or not? Are we going to fight in the back?

Grim shook his head again and sighed.

"Stupid Freed, he has allowed this alchemical being to learn too much that he shouldn't know and gain too many abilities that he shouldn't have... Hmph, he deserves to suffer the backlash!"

"You don't have to worry about that Freed anymore, get ready to collect his body! Uh...I hope he still has a body..."
