Age of Adepts

Chapter 1352 - Mary's Might

In the meeting room, Mary Woodward's frowned.

"What's wrong?" Grim, with whom she had been mind-connected, asked in a low voice.

"There seems to have been a break-in in the castle... it's pretty tough..."

"Watch out! If it's the eye-catchers sent out by another wizard organization, just kill them. If it's those scroll scholars, just chuck them out..."

These days, there were some inexplicable guys who were moving into the castle at every turn, and it was already annoying Mary to death.

It had to be said that the Scroll Scholars were basically considered harmless as a neutral organization that strayed away from all wizard forces. However, allowing a bug to burrow around in front of one's eyes wasn't a thing, which was why Grim suggested expelling the matter.

After all, killing a scholar of the Scrolls would most likely anger the Prophet's Gauntlet that it represented behind it.

In the unlikely event that the organization that held all the hidden secrets of the wizarding world for the past tens of thousands of years was forced into opposition, no wizard or power could withstand its ferocious backlash.

Therefore, even though the high-ranking witches all abhorred these guys who liked to pry into the privacy of individuals or organizations, they still didn't dare to kill them easily.

It was nothing but because they had that omniscient eye that represented the 'power of monitoring' piled up behind them!

The Omniscient Eye, according to some witches who knew a little bit about it, was most likely a strange object that was projected after the manifestation of the power of fate in the Wizard World. Through it, they were able to covertly understand and explore the hidden secrets behind the operation of the Sorcerer World.

With such a large group of witches, there would naturally always be a group of people who didn't like fighting or worldly power, and instead only liked to quietly study and explore the reality of the world.

Therefore, this group of people shouted the slogan of not entering the world, not interfering, and not explaining, clustered at the side of the Omniscient Eye, and spent the whole day busy using small things to see big things, using the operation of the power of fate to peek into the power of the world's higher rules.

Since they were too close to the Omniscient Eye, they had already virtually exchanged power with the Force of Fate. The Eye of Omniscience allowed them to approach themselves and follow and observe the workings of the Force of Fate. And they were also strictly forbidden to publish their research and knowledge, and could only store it inside that towering tower of the Prophet.

So, in all seriousness, the scroll scholars are a bunch of slaves bound to their side by the Eye of Omniscience. And yet they always think they control the forces of destiny!

But don't tell me, even though all the witches in the world see them as a bunch of lunatics or psychopaths, prolonged exposure to the Laws of Fate has also given them a powerful and bizarre sorcery ability.

Their ability to sneak and hide and their means of doing so are different from any other elemental spectrum sorcerers, and can almost be considered a strange force that is completely independent of the sorcerer system!

The negotiations within the chamber continue....

Except for Mary, who was slightly distracted and not paying attention, the rest of the witches were all glowing with a cautious look.

The arena was clearly divided into two factions: the Scattered Earth Tarin and the Silver Alliance.

The 4th ranked witches in the middle of the continent were usually scattered, but if the three major groups of witches wanted to get their hands on the Tallinn of Scattered Earth, it would instantly inspire their courage to fight with the same enemy.

No matter how fierce the fight is, the meat is always rotten in its own pot and will not be cheap to others. But once the black hands of the three major organizations reached in, it would be extremely difficult to expel them again!

Therefore, the atmosphere of this secret discussion today became abruptly heated as soon as both sides took their seats.

As expected, the Tathas and Monali who had come here held in their hands the secret agreement signed by Freed, agreeing to the Silver Alliance moving into his private territory to create a large public city here.

The so-called public city, in plain sight, would naturally be open to all forces and organizations.

But the people present had it in their hearts that the true dominance of such a public city would be in the hands of the Silver Alliance for seventy-eight percent.

This was clearly a bit overstepping!

In the past, the Scattered Tower Forest, while allowing members of the Silver Alliance to engage in trade and commerce, establish small strongholds and have proper private territories. However, the construction of a true wizard tower was strictly forbidden!

As long as there were no Sorcerer Gauntlets affiliated with the Silver Alliance in the Scattered Earth Tallinn, it would be impossible for them to truly take root here and grow.

And while many of the Sorcerer Cities in the middle of the continent would hire some Silver Alliance members to manage them, the most core Sorcerer Tower management authority was always firmly in the hands of the Central Sorcerers.

Take one of the most common cases, the floating ship business to and from the central part of the continent was handled by the Silver Alliance. However, they only had the authority to transport goods and people to and from, but they couldn't own any of the fixed moorings.

This was the ironclad law of the Scattered Earth Tallinn, and the final bottom line!

This secret agreement, signed by Freed, apparently broke this iron law. Not only did it allow the Silver Alliance to build the so-called public city on its own territory, but it also gave the other party the actual control of the most important of them, the Witch Tower, to operate.

It was no wonder that after Clara, Alfred and Declan understood the contents of the agreement, all of them were livid, and in their hearts, they had already cursed that dead Freed to death and greeted all the immediate female members of his family inside.

Only Grim, after reading the agreement, looked unmoving, and instead a bad smile appeared on his face.

"Since this agreement was signed between Fried and you, you will naturally have to go find Fried to honor it. What are you running to me for now?"

This agreement was undoubtedly incomplete.

The real content should have been an agreement between Freed and the Silver Alliance to send troops to defend him against the Crimson Family's invasion. He, in turn, betrayed the interests of the Scattered Tallinn and stealthily transferred some of his territorial power to the Silver Alliance.

However, such content was undoubtedly impossible to proclaim, so it could only be obscurely done in the name of cooperation in the development of public cities. Moreover, it was clear from the terms of the agreement that Old Freed had already sold this Kirthlin Castle to the Silver Alliance as well.

Today, these two had come a long way to receive the Kirthlin Fortress based on the 'agreement'!

Receiving Fort Kessling....

As soon as she heard this sensitive term, Mary instantly shifted her mental energy back, and once again looked at the two Alliance members with much fiercer eyes.

Sensing Mary's intention, the force field in the empty space of the chamber suddenly fluctuated frequently, and a blood-colored energy stranded and coiled together, condensing into a small and tiny energy node, undetectable to the naked eye.

With these energy nodes as the center, a powerful and terrifying force field pressure acted on the bodies of the two Alliance members without incident. It caused their bodies to chill and their spirits to tremble, feeling the full malice of this world towards them.

The two alliance members' faces changed slightly, and they also began to quietly prepare for battle!

The hybrid dwarf Tartarus was still smiling, but the surface of its body under the cover of its robes slowly lit up with a faint silver glow, and brightened and faded along with its breathing. On top of the crystal airship three miles away, the eyes of a tall and magnificent metal puppet suddenly lit up with red mane in their sockets, and then the dense magic patterns etched on its body lit up one by one.

The spiritual connection between the Tatas and the magic puppet could not be completely severed by the ancient castle force field. When necessary, with only three flexes of spatial positioning, Tatas would be able to teleport his Demonic Puppet armor to his side.

The Monari with the hawk-headed persona also held a few small, delicate silver statues inside its robes. If it really needed to fight, all it needed to do was throw out these miniature puppets, and they would transform into a tall and terrifying battle puppet in a half flex of its fingers.

Therefore, despite being in Mary's home turf, the two Silver Alliance members still maintained their calm judgment and strong confidence.

However, this confidence became dissipated as Mary's scarlet blood pupils lit up!

As Mary smirked coldly and the blood mist spread around her body, the entire Nightmare Castle's magical force field and her witchcraft scent melded together and merged into one. The entire space was suddenly stripped away from the wizarding world, completely and utterly severing all witchcraft connections inside and outside the castle.

Losing the pull of the soul breath, the Demon Puppet armor on the crystal airship was suddenly dulled again. And Tatas' face changed dramatically, looking at Mary with an uncontrollable fear in his eyes.

It was a Magic Puppet Master, its own qualities were not outstanding, and 80% of its battle strength was resting on that Magic Puppet Battle Armor that was made from countless rare materials and resources. If the soul connection between it and the Demon Puppet Armor was cut off, then its basic battle power would plummet, and it would be on par with a 4th stage junior sorcerer.

And it was still a 4th stage junior sorcerer without much elemental sorcery, without a strong constitution, without great divine power, and without a swift as a ghostly figure....

In contrast, Monali, who existed as a puppet master, was unaffected by the changes in the spatial environment. But in such an enclosed environment, confronting a melee sorcerer with exceptional agility, spatial perception, and greatly enhanced combat abilities wasn't a wise move by any means!

Seeing the two sides rattling their swords and threatening to fight each other, Grim smiled slightly, prodded and tapped the almost fried Mary on the back of her right hand a few times and said warmly, "I don't think the two witches will be unreasonable! We might as well sit down and listen to what they have to say before we say..."

Usually soft and unyielding, Mary, the Blood Queen, apparently only Grim could easily handle it, her scarlet blood pupils hatefully swept a few glances at the two Alliance witches and said in a vicious voice, "There is no longer any Kirthlin Castle, only my Nightmare Castle! Anyone who dares to hit it is messing with me. Hmph...don't blame me for turning my back on it!"

With that said, Mary's strength slowly calmed down, and only with the aid of the Nightmare Frontier did the force field fluctuations that had been suppressed on the crowd slowly dissipate.

Everyone in the arena couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.
