Age of Adepts

Chapter 1364 - Rules War

Any high level war that rose to the level of rules would have a terrible effect on the bitworld.

If you think of a bitworld as an old house, then the rules are the foundation that lurks underground, out of sight and out of mind. And the rules derived from the rules are the adhesive that holds a board together.

As for the main body that makes up the house, it is the trillions of animate and inanimate matter and creatures inside the bitterness. Every blade of grass, every tree, every flower, every stone, from the largest intelligent race that ruled the entire plane to the smallest stone in the deep forest, were all part of the composition of this perfect planetary world.

When the level of warfare is limited to the elemental level, the threat to the entire house is still small. The threat to the house is almost non-existent, even if the decorations inside are burned to the ground.

But once the level of warfare rises to the level of rules, it can have a profound effect on the structure and framework of the local area of the house, and can actually cause damage to the house.

As for rule wars, it's not a particular room that's shaken, but the entire foundation of the house.

The rules of the world follow some kind of perfectly self-consistent system in a cycle, they are like a mutually independent, yet perfectly compatible gear model, relying on the overall power to push the bit world to function, circulate, and purify itself....

Now, there was a small stone suddenly mixed inside this Perfect Gear model. It was small, but it greatly interfered with the entire bitonal system. And when its power was amplified, it had a devastating effect on the entire foundation of the world!

And that was the most fundamental reason why the Rule Wizard was banished from the Bit World!

On top of today's battlefield, Grim was an elemental sorcerer who had just touched the flame rule and was barely able to borrow a hint of the 'indestructible' rule power. As for Gloria, she was just a body refining sorcerer who could incorporate a hint of 'indestructible' belief into her body and battle techniques.

It was an exaggeration to say that they had leveraged the foundation of the world's rules, but as powerful people who possessed top-level power in the wizarding world, it was completely true that their every move and every stance had caused an indelible and terrifying impact on the world.

The terrifying ripples caused by the collision of rules and beliefs spread directly to the rule level, and the war's aftermath was amplified through the rule system's continuous vibrations and cascaded to the foundation of the world.

Silently, even the Bit Consciousness projected a gaze over, silently paying attention to this high level war that was taking place in the middle of the continent!

From this moment on, Grim and Gloria have been marked down by the Bit Consciousness and have become dangerous elements within the Bit. Once they did something terrible that threatened the stability of the plane, the bit consciousness would not hesitate to exert its power against them in an effort to push them out of the plane system.

Although Grim was still only a 4th level intermediate, far from reaching the peak 4th level power limit of the Wizarding World. However, the bit plane consciousness had clearly transformed him into the same kind of super-powered person as the other super-powered people, labeling him as a deadline banishment along with them.

From this moment on, Grim had embarked on that irreversible path that led outside the Domain!

As long as he remained in the Sorcerer's World, he would be suppressed by the bit consciousness all the time. If he chose to stay by force, the entire bit world would be against him, and although he couldn't reach the point of being the enemy of all life, his luck in the Wizard World would be as bad as it could be.

But Grim was fine after all, as he was still only a 4th rank mid-level, leaving a slight reprieve, and the bit consciousness would give him a 'death sentence' at most. As for whether the reprieve would be for decades or centuries, it would depend on whether Grim would abuse this thread of rule power.

That Gloria, on the other hand, was clearly going to have to suffer an even greater bit of bit backlash.

She had started the war, and she had reached the peak of the 4th rank... I'm afraid that after this war, she would be forced to go into 'exile' outside the domain for some time. Until the wrath of the Bit Consciousness dissipates, the entire Wizard World will no longer welcome her!

As for the way to eliminate the malice of the bit consciousness, there is no lack of it, and that is to conquer and capture more and more powerful sub-dimensions. When you, as a conqueror, bring back the resources, creatures and knowledge from the different planes to the Sorcerer World, you will naturally receive positive feedback from the consciousness.

And that, in turn, is the most direct way to please the Sub-dimensional Consciousness!

The battle continues....

But Grim was already gradually feeling exhausted.

It couldn't be helped, the first time to engage in such an all-out war, which made the severely injured Grim also feel extremely tired, and gradually became unable to resist the opponent's attacks.

The two of them were also at the top level of power in the Sorcerer World, and the viciousness and intensity of the battle was also climbing steadily.

On the battlefield, the two of them seemed to be fighting distinctly with one move at a time, and the transition between attack and defense was fast enough to dazzle the eye. But at the spiritual level that outsiders couldn't peek into, the battles taking place there were just as exciting and dangerous!

From the beginning of the war, the two sides' mental powers had been tightly locked together.

Lock, counter-lock....

Shocks, counter shocks....

Shock, countershock....

Entrapment, counter entrapment....

At this level, Grim, as an elemental sorcerer, was above Gloria in the manipulation and use of mental power. So Gloria, who was born as a Body Refining Sorcerer, could only passively take a beating, using her tough mental strength to defuse and offset wave after wave of Grim's ferocious attacks.

But in another real battlefield, Gloria was fully crushing Grim with her strong physical strength, chasing him everywhere, not daring to stay anywhere for more than 3 seconds.

And the clash of power between the two sides also brought an unprecedented havoc to this battlefield!

Not to mention ordinary bits of matter and living creatures, even the 4th stage Shadow Demon that Grim had carefully built at the beginning of his advancement was living in fear and suffocation on this battlefield.

After hiding in one of the shadows and absorbing the shadow power to barely repair the damage on his body, the Shadow Demon had a chance to cut into the battlefield and ran off to sneak attack that Gloria again.

So, five flexes later, a tattered and almost torn to pieces Shadow Demon came crawling back.

So, hide again, repair again, wait until just recovered and then run off to sneak attack again....

This Shadow Demon with an 'indestructible' Shadowsteel body, with the most adept sneak ambush Shadow skill, was tragically trapped in a horrible death cycle of damage, repair, damage again, and repair again.

It wasn't that it wasn't trying hard, it wasn't that it was clumsy in battle, it wasn't that it was brittle as glass....

Rather, the battlefield it was in was too terrifying and frightening!

That terrifying witch who was no more than 170 centimeters tall and on the slender side was simply a demon among demons. She wasn't very big, but her weight had reached a staggering three tons. And her timid, seemingly ineffective tiny fists are more than enough to give the Shadow Demon a nightmarish fighting experience.

Have you ever seen a huge metal puppet five meters tall and weighing five tons get smashed by a petite witch slapping it around? Have you ever seen a shadow puppet, who boasts of having an indestructible metal body, get pounded through the gut by a tiny fist?

If you had actually witnessed this scene, you would have gained a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the word 'power' ever since!

If Shadow Demon didn't have the ability to breathe in the dark and could borrow darkness to heal itself; if Shadow Demon's body wasn't mixed with memory alloy, it had the ability to repair and recover itself... Without either of these two, I'm afraid Shadow Demon would have nine lives to be buried here today.

And the results that Grim and Shadow Demon had achieved after such a 'bloodbath' were only a small amount that made the purple light outside of that Gloria's body fade and thin. After a day and night of bitter fighting, the opponent's iron fist was still a fierce mess, and his flashing movements had no effect at all.

Trying to exhaust the other party's stamina? For an alchemic sorcerer with an immortal body, protracted warfare was never their weakness!

In contrast, a day and night of hard fighting had instead made Grim somewhat unable to hold up.

The heavily bruised physique after severe injuries had turned Grim into a 'weak' elemental sorcerer as well, and after only one day and one night of fighting, his stamina was somewhat unable to keep up with the rhythm of war.

After being blown out of the Book of Filth and Darkness's Law Protection several times in succession, Grim finally ran out of stamina and hurriedly jumped back to the Nightmare Castle in one breath, never to show his face again.

Without Grim as the main attacker, the Shadow Demon that could only exist as an auxiliary combatant didn't dare to show its face, hiding in the shadows in the distance, looking for a gap and moving, ready to strike out to stalk the other two or three fingers.

This was already the manifestation of its greatest ability, a few more flexes and it would have no chance to withdraw from the battlefield!

The war has finally reached the intermission....

The purple light thinned nearly half, leaving only a thin layer lingering outside, Gloria slowly came to the Nightmare Castle before. At this moment, through the layer of dense purple light, has been faintly able to see Gloria's face and body shape.

Bald head, no eyebrows, purple pupils, plus a striking purple soft armor.......

It had to be said that even the murderous Gloria's appearance and body shape were so idiosyncratic that she seemed out of place with the norm.

"Good... good..." after fighting for so long, yet it was hard to see the slightest look of wretchedness and fatigue from Gloria. She gazed at the dark and gloomy castle in front of her and said coldly, "I never expected to meet a man so strong enough inside the bit... Grim, join us in the Sorcerer's Association! With your strength, you won't get anywhere in the middle of this softball from birth..."

"These hopeless fellows don't even dare to set foot outside the domain, let alone go to the Otherworld to pioneer the territory! You won't get anything out of hanging out with them except to sink..."

"I hear you're interested in unifying the Middle Kingdom? It's unlikely that these central softballs, outsiders and insiders, will truly listen to your command! With such a group of duplicitous people, how are you going to set foot on an alien battlefield?"

Although the words were cold and brutal, the comments about the Central Wizard were surprisingly fair.

In the darkness, Grim was silent for a moment before finally speaking again.

"Every man must make his own choice! No matter how hard this path is, I intend to walk it myself. You may not be my friend, but I do not want Your Excellency to be my enemy either! Leave, as long as you leave now, I can pretend that nothing has happened today. But if your Excellency continues to be so aggressive, then don't blame me for going against your Wizard Association to the end..."

The bald, purple-pupiled Gloria smirked.

"Against our coven? Haha...I'd like to see if you're really that good! Grim, I'm coming in, so you'll have to hide oh..."

With that, Gloria strode through the castle gates.
