Age of Adepts

Chapter 1386 - The Gods Offer a Reward

The Star Beast Hesmoto and the Heart of Stone Egg are not a good thing!

Hesmoto is notorious throughout the Multiverse for being a terrifying Star Beast of rank 6. The difference between it and other star beasts is that Hesmoto rarely breaks into the inner planes to forcibly take the origin of the planes.

Instead, it resorted to an even more outrageous and unpleasant act, which was to rape the Will of the Plane, spawn the Stone Heart Egg, and host it on the Plane's Origin. In this way, the Stone Heart Egg could grow up a little bit with the power of the Bit Origin.

Don't look at the Stone Heart Egg as just a foreign egg, but it has a more difficult aspect. That was that it possessed the Laws of Earth, and was able to travel and shift at will underground in order to avoid the tracking and hunting of the bit surface natives.

By the time the Star Beast in the Stone Heart Egg hatched, it was often already a terrifying and ferocious creature of up to rank 4.

By relying on this method, Hesmoto was able to breed a large number of herd offspring for itself. The Material Plane that was targeted by it, on the other hand, would have its origin greatly damaged, its will thwarted, and in severe cases, it would even suffer a tragic drop in the level of the Plane!

But the good news was that the hatching of Stone Heart eggs also took time, and it took about ten years for a Stone Heart egg to hatch from being laid to hatching. As long as the bit native could find and kill this Stone Heart Egg that was wandering randomly underground within ten years, the bit native would be able to make up for its loss.

Of course, if Grim could run to the Spirit Realm to capture the Stone Heart Egg and bring it back to the Wizard World for a blood sacrifice, then he would ironically receive the highest reward from the Wizard World's Bit Consciousness.

Unfortunately, it was a nice thought to think about, but it was simply impossible to achieve!

Because Starling Tulas wouldn't invite him to hunt the Stone Heart Egg at all, but wanted to use Grim's relationship to contact Alice.

If there was no need, the natives of the Spirit Realm would not use any external force on the matter of hunting the Stone Heart Egg. After all, they were also worried that the stone heart egg would be taken away by someone from a different realm, thus causing damage to the Origin of the Spirit Realm.

However, that Stone Heart Egg was simply too cunning, moving around inside the underground space, not giving the Spirit Realm natives the chance to capture it. Thus, Starling Tulas could only find a way to turn to a Fate Witch like Alice and use her power to locate the location of that Stone Heart Egg.

As for those prophets and prophecy masters of the Spirit Realm's local plane, since their prophetic power came from the bit consciousness. Now that even the bit consciousness of the Spirit Realm had been 'raped', they were naturally helpless!

After introducing Tulas to Alice, Grim put the matter to rest.

It was now during the Demon Tide, and all of the Faces were in a mess, so I was afraid that all the strongest of the Faces would have to hunker down back in their original Faces to make sure it was safe and secure there before they could go out and fight the fallout.

Therefore, ten years before the outbreak of the Demon Tide, the past squared-off bits of the expedition would be paused in order to stabilize the rear. During this period of time, except for the Calamity creatures and Star Beasts that would come out to stir up the storm, the other high civilizations would all cease to exist and wait to see how the situation would change.

For a time, the major planes actually showed a rare period of calm!

However, with Grim's current status and position, it was clear that he couldn't steal away for long.

Soon, a top secret intelligence was placed on his desk.

Grim was in big trouble!

There are no leaky walls in the world.

Grim had plotted against the divine son of Yero, the God of Wisdom, and had taken away the famous Holy Book of Wisdom from his possession. This matter had been covered up by him until the Holy Book of Wisdom was devoured and transformed into the Book of Filthy Darkness.

However, even then, that God of Wisdom, Yero, had found his way to Grim's head in the end through some unknown means.

According to the information leaked through some hidden paths, the God of Wisdom Yero had already considered Grim to be a different kind of enemy number one.

And in the world of the gods, he had issued a high reward for any creature that sacrificed Grim's head to him, and any creature that sacrificed Grim's head to him would receive a tailor-made 4th rank artifact from Yero, as well as 3 years of free access to his Hall of Wisdom, and the friendship of all Wisdom followers....

Honestly, even Grim was a bit tempted to cut his own head off when he heard of such a generous reward!

But the good news was that this God of Wisdom, Yero, was only a 5th rank deity himself, and a God of Knowledge and Wisdom who was not good at fighting. Thus, with his own body not daring to step out of the Divine Kingdom, it would still be hard for his authority and followers alone to pose too much of a threat to Grim.

As for whether or not he dared to send out a 4th rank billet, it was a no-brainer!

With so many predators and top-tier powerhouses in the multiverse, a deity billet that was no more than a mere 4th stage dared to show its face, it would definitely be an object of coaxing and hunting by everyone. At that time, the Yero billet, not to mention coming to trouble Grim, might not even be able to keep his own safety.

There were so many foreign artifacts in the Wizard World, and a large portion of them were not created by the Wizard himself, but were directly plundered from the world of the gods.

One of the main reasons for this is the close racial proximity of the two sides, both rooted in humans as the origin of their communities. Thus in many ways, knowledge, power and skill are similar.

The shamans were naturally happy to loot artifacts that could be used directly with a little modification.

Of course, the other more important reason was that these gods liked to give artifacts to their subordinates and followers as proof of their status and glory. Naturally, the strength of these subordinates and devotees could not be compared to that of the deities, and it was a hundred times easier to plunder them.

It was for these two important reasons that many high-ranking sorcerers liked to kill and rob the artifacts or sub-artifacts in the hands of high-ranking believers in the world of the gods, in order to quickly enhance their own fighting ability.

And the end result of this led to the divide of the Gods World and the Sorcerer Civilization into two opposing camps of opposing forces!

In any extra-territorial space, if the followers of the Gods World and the sorcerers came across each other, then they would definitely go straight to war without saying a word.

However, in the past, most of those who were able to make the Gods World Bounty List were at the Great Sorcerer level, while a 4th rank Sorcerer like Grim was extremely rare.

Therefore, for Grim, this kind of bounty was not so much creating trouble for him, but rather proclaiming his name outside of the domain in advance for him. I'm afraid that at this moment, quite a few out-of-domain camps could hear Grim's name as well!

However, just as Grim scoffed at this, another piece of news came in that made his scalp tingle.

There was a second deity in the world of the gods that had put a bounty on Grim, and this deity was a 7th rank god.

Sinai, the God of Flame!

The Fire God Bead in Grim's hand was from the Flame God Sinai's hand.

This old deity of the world of gods had found out through some unknown means that it was the Dark Witch of the Sorcerer's World who had broken into his secondary plane, killed his loyal followers, and taken away the Fire God Pearl.

Thus, in a fit of rage, he issued a death bounty on the Dark Witch and Grim together.

The reward was still so tempting, but Grim was no longer in the mood for bitterness and joy.

He could ignore that God of Wisdom's threat, and as long as he didn't leave the Wizard World and break into the territory of the God of Wisdom, Yero, the other party's threat to him was almost zero. But this 7th Order Fire God was different.

Rank 7... even in the world of the gods, this was a renowned figure!

If he was bent on killing Grim, I'm afraid Grim would really have to be careful about his future travels. Once he was caught in the act and sent out a random high level billet, the chances of Grim being able to successfully escape back to the Wizard World was no more than 30%.

Moreover, Fire God Sinai was still a battle deity. Even just sending out an insignificant 4th rank flame billet to break into the interior of the bit plane could pose a serious threat to Grim's life.

Whenever he thought of this, Grim felt his scalp go numb and chilled, and for the first time, an endless chill arose from the depths of his heart.

But he didn't regret it!

After all, without the aid of these two artifacts, with his current power being only at the 4th rank intermediate level, he could only endure the suppression of the many veteran sorcerers and slowly polish his power.

And now, even Monash Gaia, who possessed the Golden Titan bloodline, had to bow down before him, and the entire central part of the country had nominally fallen into his lap. How had this miracle come about? Naturally, there was no shortage of the aid of two powerful 5th rank artifacts.

With them, Grim would be able to transcend the limits of rank and crush the many powerful people underneath him to death. And without them, it was clear that Grim would not be able to gain such a huge advantage in a seniority or hard-fought confrontation.

Therefore, even if faced with the greatest challenges and difficulties, Grim would never give up these two treasures that meant so much to him!

But then, it would be necessary for him to be concerned about his own safety.

Being targeted by two otherworldly deities at the same time, this kind of terrifying pressure ordinary people could hardly feel.

He was undoubtedly safe both in the Wizard World and in the Out-of-Domain Camp.

No matter how strong and brutal those two deities were, they wouldn't be able to rush to these places to trouble him.

However, if Grim ever wanted to move to the Outlander in the future, he would have to be careful to conceal his tracks. Once he was targeted by the other side and chased all over the world, the terrible consequences were simply unimaginable.

Therefore, during this time, he could only live deep and try not to give the other party a chance to intercept him. In addition, if he could make himself stronger, then he would be more confident in dealing with the enemy.

In the past, Grim wouldn't dare to say such a big lie.

At the 4th level, every step forward was so difficult, and every bit of attribute growth required a large investment of resources.

But Grim was so different, and he did have the chance to take another step forward in the short term. That was the Star Beast bloodline that he had cultivated for hundreds of years!

His Star Beast bloodline had been resolved to 97%, and he was only one step away from success. Once the resolution was successful, he would instantly have his own unique bloodline transformation ability.

At that time, not only would his battle abilities appear vastly improved, but even his fighting style would also undergo earth-shattering changes!
