Age of Adepts

Chapter 1417 - The Association Seeks Help

The Coven is in real trouble!

This parchment was a letter of request for help, sent by that vice-president of the Sorcerer's Association, Domnall.

At the same time when Grim received this request for help, I was afraid that the other two major witch organizations would also receive similar messages at the same time.

Grim's gaze was slightly fixed on the parchment, and the latter flew out from Andrews' hand and hung in front of him. As the parchment slowly unfolded, the sorcery images stored within also unfolded in sync, showing Grim a horrifying scene that took place in the Murky Bottom Valley.

In the depths of the Murky Abyss Valley, which stretched for thousands of miles, there was a multi-headed snake lizard that was a thousand meters long and covered in dark green scales crawling out of the ground.

As soon as it appeared, it raised its head and emitted a noisy and piercing screech, and a turquoise halo of light was emitted around its body. All the beasts and monsters exposed to the green light will quickly fester and turn into a puddle of purple-black corpse water.

Scattered around it were three rank 4 witches in Association robes, two men and one woman.

The female witch was none other than Gloria who had dealt with Grim!

Two male witches, one was an old acquaintance of Grim's, the poisonous sorcerer, Severus, and the other had a somewhat unfamiliar face and didn't know him.

Three wizards, three superpowers!

These three super-powerful people from the Sorcerer's Association had surrounded the terrifying multi-headed snake lizard and were frantically fighting with it.

Behind the monster, there were large groups of demon-like ferocious beasts rushing out of the valley's mists. They had the wings of an eagle, the head of a snake, and the body of a lion, and their bodies were filled with a disgustingly filthy smell!

Differentiated Beasts... This was a group of Differentiated Beasts that had mutated after being contaminated by the Calamity Lord's natural disaster aura. Their individual levels weren't high, they were mostly level 1 or 2 little guys, but the fact that there were so many of them was so great that they had reached the point where they couldn't be killed.

From the number of different beasts spewing out from the Mohu Valley, it could be estimated that the Calamity Lords must have connected the rift in the valley to a certain level polluted by the Calamity Breath, and then drove all the different beasts born from that level to the Sorcerer World.

This was also the Calamity Lords' usual trick!

First open a spatial rift, then drive endless Calamity creatures rushing here to wreak havoc. Whether the creatures are alive or dead, their presence will contaminate and destroy the laws of the surface around the rift.

When the laws of the surface had broken to a certain extent, it would be time for the Calamity Lords to send out their high-ranking men!

A dark green multi-headed snake lizard like that one could barely be called the Little Lord of Calamity, either a billet of the true Lord of Calamity or a high-ranking thugs in his servitude. Either way, their appearance would be a disaster for the Wizard World!

In the scene projected on the parchment, in addition to the multi-headed snake lizard, there was also a multi-armed giant and a tall bone demon. Their base strengths were already as high as the peak of the 4th rank, and their true natures were probably fearsome 5th rank creatures as well.

In order to deal with these calamitous little lords, the Sorcerer's Association was also out in force.

Inside the projection alone, Grim saw eighteen 4th-ranked witches. If you added the ones sitting in the Witch Tower or assisting at the rear, I'm afraid that the Sorcerer's Association had invested at least 2/3 of their high-ranking strength in this battle.

Even so, the situation on the battlefield was still not promising!

The number of alienated beasts that were as numerous as mosquitoes emerged from the depths of the Moabian Valley, rampaging around the battlefield like black clouds, ramming and attacking the Association's Witch Tower and Witch Troops .

The fierce battle went from the sky to the ground and then to the trembling undulating underground....

It could be said that the entire thirty miles around the Murky Valley had almost been completely occupied by the black and red alienated beasts. The Association's team could only retreat to the perimeter of the War Witch Pagoda, leaning against the elemental barrier at their backs, fighting with difficulty and courage against the alienated beasts that kept rushing up.

One by one, the War Witch Pagoda was dazzling with electric light, and a thunderbolt descended from the sky, splitting the masses of alienated beasts into charcoal and burning them into flying ash.

But even so, it still couldn't resist the tidal wave of black and red monsters that came rushing in.

These aberrant beasts were capable of flying, able to escape the earth, and had ugly and hideous bone armor or scales on their bodies. Ordinary elemental sorcery to resist rank 2 would hardly be able to kill them, and only a powerful sorcery of rank 2 or above would be able to slightly curb the momentum of their crazy attack.

The Sorcerer's Association was also well stocked with cannon fodder.

A troop of oddly shaped witch beasts with a strong scent of bloodline reconciliation exuding from their bodies emerged from inside the witch tower under the command of the Association's witches. They likewise danced with their teeth and claws, battling the tidal wave of alienated beasts with fearless posture and bravery.

On the battlefield, almost every region could see the brutal scene of Sorcerer Beasts and Altered Beasts tangling with each other to the death!

Thanks to the astonishing number of dissimilar beasts and the three powerful calamity lords, the Sorcerer's Association was unable to invade the Moabuchi Valley even with all their strength, let alone purify and dispel the filth on the battlefield in time.

The parchment projection of the battlefield only lasted for half a quarter of an hour, but the information it revealed was enough to chill the hearts of all who watched.

Grim didn't know what others thought, but he knew that if the Calamity creatures had chosen to invade the Great Spatial Rift, I'm afraid that the middle of the continent would have been filled with alienated beasts by now.

Of course, traversing the Great Spatial Rift was far more difficult than the Murky Valley. If this place wanted to contain the evil and twisted bodies of the Calamity Lords, I'm afraid it would be impossible for them to burrow into the Wizard World without contaminating it for a year and a half.

This was the main reason why they chose the Murky Abyss Valley over the Great Spatial Rift!

The projection within the parchment ended with a clatter and re-shrunk into a paper roll mold, returning to Andrews.

Grim frowned slightly and said coldly, "What does the Wizarding Council mean by sending this to us? You want us to help you? Well, they've probably forgotten what they did in the middle of the country before!"

Andrews was pale and in a trance, clearly still immersed in that tragic projection from earlier. Hearing Grim's question, he hurriedly bowed and replied, "The Association has not only sent this parchment, but also sent a 3rd rank messenger... You see, isn't it a good idea to receive him?"

Having witnessed two terrifying battles one after the other in one day, even with Andrews' mental strength, it was a bit overwhelming.

"Let him come! I'd like to hear what kind of conditions those guys at the Association can offer..." it wasn't no wonder how Grim resented it, without the intervention of the Sorcerer's Association, his matter of unifying the central part of the country wouldn't have become so tricky.

If he hadn't taken the lead at every step, and his strength had grown far beyond the enemy's estimation, I'm afraid his hard work over the past few hundred years would have been a blur.

The white light of the Witch Tower flashed in the distance, and a young wizard with a clear face and elegant manners, wrapped in a layer of white light, flew swiftly in front of Grim.

Although he had already experienced the elegance of Grim's great body from afar, he still felt a deep-seated trembling when he arrived in front of Grim's face, which was as intimidating as that of an ancient giant.

Stage 3... His usually proud Stage 3 strength was worthless in front of this top-notch legendary fire witch.

He had a feeling as if the other party could put him to death as easily as crushing an ant with just a slight move of a finger.

This young male witch of the 3rd rank wearing the Witch Association's systemic witch robes hurriedly stroked his chest and saluted in front of Grim, muffling his voice, "The Association's special emissary Jermaine sends his greetings to the great Lord Grim!"

In the shaman community, words like respect and greatness that had a specific direction were not words that could be used lightly. The word 'respect' was often used for high ranked sorcerers, while the word 'greatness' could only be used for great sorcerers.

It was an agreed-upon rule, and no high-ranking wizard dared to easily overstep this boundary and enjoy the respect of the great wizards as a 4th rank.

"Great?" Grim snapped, "You're just trying to get me in trouble!"

The young wizard hurriedly explained, "Lord Grim, don't misunderstand! I don't mean to set you up or calculate you in the slightest. This is what Lord Domnall himself told me before I came here, that when I see you, I must treat you with the courtesy of a great wizard..."

"Domhnall..." smiled Grim slightly, "What did he want to tell you by sending you here?"

"Lord Domnall said that there was some misunderstanding between us earlier, which caused some unpleasantness. For Lord Grim's loss, our Sorcerer's Association is willing to pay for it to the fullest." The young 3rd rank male witch was obviously a long-sleeved person as well, with an extremely soft body and an extremely low posture, and a smiling face.

"Compensation...forget it!" Grim said coldly, "As long as your Wizard Association interferes less in our central affairs in the future. If you're here to apologize on behalf of the association, then go back! You...aren't qualified enough!"

The young wizard's face stiffened and he quickly forced a smile.

"My lord don't be in a hurry to evict your guest, I have some more instructions from Lord Domnall here that I would like to report to you!"

"Go ahead!"

"That... this..." the young male wizard Jermaine glanced left and right at Andrews, who was standing at his side, and the demigod witch who was standing silently not far away, and finally bit out : "Domnall-sama said that he hoped that Grim-sama would be able to help the Association through this difficult time in light of his previous friendship..."

"The previous friendship... haha, Domnall can be so funny!" Grim almost burst out laughing.

"Knowing that I was somewhat sorry to your lordship earlier, so Lord Domnall entrusted me with this..." the young male wizard Jermaine, his heart pounding from Grim's laughter, sweating profusely, pulled out a small rectangular wooden casket from his bosom. It was respectfully presented in front of you.

First there was Severus, and then there was Gloria, these two great gifts were something that Grim had always kept in mind. Now that the association was in trouble, it actually dared to come to ask for help, this point undoubtedly made Grim feel extremely puzzled.

However, he was also very curious as to what kind of treasures that Domnall was able to bring out to tempt him to take action.
