Age of Adepts

Chapter 1422 - Entering the Battlefield for the First Time

There were only five witches sent from the Northlands.

Other than the Death Witch leader, Krsuna, the others were also familiar faces.

Fimis, a 4th rank Death Witch, whose profession belonged to a Death Summoner....

Angelina, 4th level fraudulent witch leader, job unknown....

Tessa, 4th Order Pale Witch, profession unknown....

And at the end of the group, Grim also saw that dark witch leader, Cersi. Although the other party had hidden herself in a layer of light black mist, but with the difference in strength between the two of them, Grim could completely see her true face through this layer of darkness protection.

Seemingly sensing that the darkness protection had lost its effect, that Cerci simply waved her hand and withdrew the black mist, revealing her full figure and appearance.

This was a strange woman with a graceful and tall figure, and her skin was pale and withered from years of not seeing the sun. The surface of her exposed skin was covered with strange and twisted black magic patterns, and from time to time, she would spill out wisps of dark energy.

She wore a tight black leather armor, her body all cleaned up. On her belt were two snake-shaped daggers inserted diagonally, the surface of which was pitch-black and without any reflection, making it impossible to tell which particular metal it belonged to.

Grim swept his eyes around, and with the penetrating power of rules, he almost instantly scanned out some peculiarities inside and outside the other party's body. Even a 4th rank dark witch was almost translucent in his eyes.

Aside from the few places such as the core dark organs of the body that were still in the thick darkness, the rest of the body was almost completely visible. The penetration of the rule power was simply not something that could be concealed by demonic equipment, energy protection and ordinary clothing.

Only sorcerous energies fused with the Dark Laws could block Grim's rule penetration!

But it was clear that the 4th level advanced Dark Witch leader didn't yet possess such great skill in using the laws. Thus, she had no secrets to keep in front of Grim.

Seemingly sensing the object of Grim's focus, Krsuna stomped her foot and a pale deadly air spread everywhere, cutting off the other party's line of sight straight away.

"The past is the past. With your current power, you're not going to bully the small with the big and have to retaliate back, right? Besides, without that Fire God Pearl, you wouldn't be able to have the terrifying power you have now. On the other hand, you should actually thank 'certain people'!"

Grim was also dumbfounded at Krsna's strong words.

"Bullying the little with the big? She's much older than me, I'm afraid! If it wasn't for your face, I would have never let up. Now that you've spoken, I'll..."

At this point, Grim snorted lightly, whirling that Cerci's right arm, a flame suddenly appeared on top of it and began to burn fiercely.

Cersei screamed out and waved his arm, and a large mass of dark energy poured into the flame, but instead of extinguishing the latter, it torched it even more like oil pouring fire.

A pungent, charred smell of burning flesh and blood wafted out amidst the splintering bursts of flame!

That Cersei is also fierce, several attempts to extinguish the strange flame, immediately gritted his teeth and pulled out his waist dagger to cut off the piece of flesh and blood that had been ignited. A large piece of flesh and blood along with the burning flame on top flew out, revealing a flesh blurred wound and a small half of a white arm bone below.

But to its horror, a faint red glow actually gathered on the wound once again, poofing it ignited into a new flame.

This time the flames burned directly on top of the arm bone!

The several witches beside her shouted out, casting sorcery or using wands, and all sorts of colorful sorcery light fell on the flames in unison.

Suppressed by the combined efforts of the women, the rule flame finally grew smaller and smaller.

But when it retreated into a small flame the size of a finger, there was no more change, allowing the witches to use the power of the laws to wash it away, or cover it with cold witchcraft, or use a strange sealing technique, they were unable to completely extinguish the golden flame.

Seeing that the women were busy but to no avail, Krsuna sulked, pursed her lips and blew, and a nearly transparent icy cold deadly air blew on the golden flame, instantly freezing it into a small ice crystal.

Your temper seems to have grown."

Grim smiled indifferently, not reacting too much to Krsuna's actions, and laughed, "I'm only imposing a small punishment, I don't mean to make things too difficult for her. Since she's already been punished, let's wipe out everything in the past from here on out!"

The first time I saw her was when she looked up at Grim, and after a long time she sighed: "She had it coming, and she deserved it! Well, this one can be revealed, and now it's time for us to get down to business. How did you... choose to come to reinforce the Coven? I thought you already hated the Society to the bone!"

"Naturally, I still remember the previous debt, but the Calamity Invasion is a big event for the entire Wizard World, so how can I stand idly by? Besides, they've promised so many benefits, and there's still a large amount of bit of feedback to be taken here, so why wouldn't I do it!"

"I hope you're telling the truth." Krsuna looked like I'm the one who believes you and sighed lightly, "You've just arrived here and you don't know how the situation is there yet. You'll know how bad it is there when you come with me to the front line later... Hmph, the Sorcerer's Association is really going to be in trouble this time!"

With that said, Krsuna swept another glance at the group of Central 4 Steps that were standing in a regular pestle not far away, a strange expression in her eyes.

"You're quite spared! It's so dangerous here, and you've even pulled half of the central 4-stage over here. Be careful, don't lose the entire central part of your power here if you're not careful. At that time, even if you have the ability to pass through the heavens, you won't be able to rule the entire central part of the country anymore!"

Grim lamented and laughed, "In the past Central was always looked down upon by you, for what? It was still not shrinking at the tail end of the formation in every way, putting safety first in everything. How many of the 4th level survivors are able to experience the bloodshed on the battlefield? This time, there's a rare opportunity to practice within the bits, and they've all jumped at the chance to volunteer to come and fight, so how can I dampen their enthusiasm... Oh, it's just a win-win situation!"

Looking at the silky, bitter smiles on the faces of the many Central 4 Steps, Krsuna naturally knew that what Grim said was not true, but she wasn't that kind to worry about Central. For the sake of the other party being a wizard wizard, a simple reminder would suffice.

"Come on, let's go see the battlefield together! Perhaps some of you will regret it when you get there, I'm afraid..."

With that, Krsuna stomped her foot, and the huge and eventful corpse dragon raised its neck and hissed, turning its body with difficulty and flying towards the direction of the sounds of fighting in the distance.

Yes, while they were standing here talking and communicating, there was an earth-shattering roar and roar coming from the distant sky from time to time. Violent sorcery light filled Qiong Yu, and terrifying energy ripples stirred the heavens and earth.

Despite being a hundred miles apart, the aftermath of the battlefield had apparently been able to diffuse into the area. This was a clear indication that the Sorcerer's Association was no longer able to confine the battlefield to the Moabian Valley.

The Geraldine Sorcerer who came to greet Grim and his group had been standing at the side, quietly listening to their exchange. Only at this moment, did he politely lead them to the battlefield.

This entire vast area had been completely occupied by the Sorcerer's Association along the way.

All of the key terrain nodes and intersections towered with war witch towers, and all of the roads leading to the Murky Valley were crowded with long convoys carrying large amounts of basic supplies. And above the skies, wizards on giant owls or double-headed eagles circled and rose and fell, looking as if they were busy.

However, Grim's arrival immediately triggered a scene of chaos.

After all, not everyone was qualified to witness a terrifying giant of a thousand feet in stature!

As they watched this tall figure like a sky-high giant walk step by step from the heavens, and then stride over their heads, all the witch guards, ordinary servants, witch apprentices, and even the low-level association wizards couldn't help but panic in their hearts.

The witch beasts that were responsible for pulling and unloading the cargo were all scared to death, their limbs trembling like chaff, lying on the ground unable to get up. The association shamans riding on the flying beasts hurriedly scattered in all directions, not daring to block the terrifying giant's footsteps.

There was even a bipedal force of flying dragons in a nearby hidden camp, rushing to the front of Grim's route to disperse those obstructions for him.

After crossing a vast green grassland, stepping over a hundred-meter wide river, and climbing over a bald rocky peak that wasn't steep and towering, Grim and his party soon arrived at the battlefield of Mohu Valley.

Relying on their tall stature, they instantly took in the entire battlefield as far as the eye could see, and even Grim's calmness couldn't help but frown, perceiving for the first time the horror and dread of the clash of large bit power.

This was a huge battlefield that stretched vastly for over seventy miles!

From the rocky peak where Grim was standing, dense War Witch Towers could be seen everywhere throughout the battlefield. As if the stars were arching over the moon, a majestic, top-level Witch Pagoda towered silently in the center of the battlefield.

Thirty miles in front of the tower, a dense fog spread out close to the ground. Under their cover, a huge, winding crack in the ground was faintly revealed.

At this moment, there were tidal waves of dissimilar beasts surging out of the crack, wildly impacting the War Witch Towers near the crack. And each War Sorcerer Tower was like a small battle hub, from which an equally astonishing number of tall Sorcerer Beasts were pouring out.

Like two black and red turbid currents of different colors, the Witch Beasts and Dissimilarity Beasts were constantly squeezing, colliding and grinding, and every moment, hundreds of lives on the battlefield would wither and fall, then crushed into paste under a thick, heavy and terrifying leg, turning into a blood swamp.......
