Age of Adepts

Chapter 1467 - The Enemy's Trail Is Hidden

If it were anyone else, they would have to find another place to live when they heard about the weirdness of the molten fire altar.

But Grim's thinking was clearly different from that of a human.

He decided to take up residence here and study this strange and dangerous Altar of Molten Flame nearby.

However, once this idea was there, it was difficult to turn it into reality.

There was absolutely no shortage of laborers on the Fire Elemental plane, and there were even plenty of laborers who were over ten meters tall and could lift several tons of weight at a time. However, there is an obvious lack of architects with architectural ability and aesthetic point of view.

Unlike the Material Plane, which had a variety of occupations, the Fire Elemental Plane did not have any occupations, and naturally, there were no skilled craftsmen in comparison.

The Fire Elemental Plane seemed to have only one occupation, and that was 'Hobo'!

All fire elements are constantly wandering and loitering from the moment they are born from the flames. When they find a suitable home, they stay there for the rest of their lives, and if they don't, they wander forever until the consciousness in the core crumbles back into disorderly flame energy.

So the fire elemental plane remains in a chaotic, obscure and primitive state. There is no big, broad concept of a kingdom, no business idea of holding a group together. Amazingly, fire elemental beings of the same family would live together in groups, forming a small flame family that was loose and territorial.

Those strong Flame creatures would spontaneously gather a group of men to serve as Flame servants. Those with a little more ability would become Flame Lords, those with a little more power would become Flame Kings, and the one standing at the top of the Fire Elemental Plane would be the Flame Lord.

But no matter which one it was, their ruling form was an architectural pattern of lords and slaves. It was just that the Flame Monarchs and Flame Lords occupied a bit larger territories and bound a bit more slaves.

But essentially, it was still the same set of Flame Lords!

There is no concept of country or region, and the elemental creatures don't need to divide up their work to meet their daily needs. They wandered around and could survive by just taking in some fire elementals, so naturally, there was no division of occupations.

And the direct result of this was that if Grim wanted to build a wizard tower here, the materials and architects needed could only be hired from outside. And at most, the local fire elemental creatures could only serve as a bit of drudgery, the same kind of inferior drudgery that had no skills and only a handful of brute strength!

Once he had made up his mind, Grim assigned Lakebeth out to start rounding up the surrounding Flame Lords.

With the strength of the Embers Web Spider Mother, flame lords below rank 3 were absolutely at hand, never deviating in any way. The overly powerful 3rd and 4th rank flame lords could be ignored for the time being and dealt with one by one after Grim freed up his hands and feet.

After taking care of these tasks, Grim left a flame mark on the edge of the lava lake before casually tearing through the bit space and returning back to the Esoda camp.

The location where Grim appeared across the distant space was still the teleportation array that was hidden deep within the Steel Capital.

Stepping out of the copper-walled teleportation chamber, Fractional Brain Sock had already been waiting for it.

"What? Something wrong?" Grim was mentally sharp and immediately sensed Sock's abnormality.

"Yes, Master!" Although Split Brain Sock was arrogant and arrogant, and its personality was as bad as its last, it didn't dare to slack off or be rude in the face of the increasingly powerful Legendary Fire Witch in front of it: "Recently, there have been many people in the camp inquiring about your whereabouts!"

"Oh, who are all these people?" Grim stopped abruptly and asked in a deep voice.

"Not the old men in the camp, most of them are some exotic strongmen from all over the Star Ocean . They're not very strong, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd rank, yet as soon as they came to the camp, they went around asking for information about you, especially concerned about where you landed..."

"Can we know who they are?" Grimson smirked, and he probably had some projections in mind.

"They come from all directions, all the different planes, and are very disorganized. However, they all have one common trait..."

"Vulcan devotees?!" Grim heckled back.

"Pretty much. Even the occasional few that aren't Vulcan believers have something like an astral mercenary in them..."

Grim pondered for a moment and suddenly asked, "What is the relationship between the witch camp and the world of the gods in this area outside the domain?"

"Very confusing! As you may know, the wizards are never monolithic, and the strategic direction they take is always influenced by the preferences of their superiors. Some witches like to target the worlds of the gods and go around attacking and plundering the bit worlds that the gods are guarding; some witches are secretly in cahoots with the gods' side of the world, teaming up to conquer the side of the evil eye, elves, or dragons... and may even team up with one deity against another!"

As Fractal Brain Sock walks, he gives Grim a briefing on the situation outside the domain.

After two hundred years of pioneering in Camp Esoda, the Steel Capital, as a private trading point, possessed some of its own sources of information. These trivial information, which was a mixture of true and false, was intertwined with the intelligence information that Grim had obtained through public means, and it was able to outline for him the general development trend of the entire Sorcerer's camp.

On the whole, the wizard camp belonged not to the builders, but to the destroyers!

At almost the same time, the Witch Camp was at war with the Demon Eye Empire, the Dragon Clan, the Elven Empire, the World of Gods, the Elemental Realm, the Abyssal Realm, and the Shadow Realm at the same time. Of course, this waging of war was not the act of the witch camp as a whole, but rather the individual act of a small witch organization or a powerful wizard.

Like an octopus with its tentacles stretched out everywhere, the witch camp picked its enemies entirely at the whim of a certain superior wizard.

For example, if a certain superior sorcerer is in desperate need of dragon card resources or materials, he or she encourages and directs the lower sorcerers to focus their firepower on attacking dragon territory. Invading their bits, hunting down middle and low level dragons, and stealing the corresponding bit of resources....

And in the process, the upper sorcerer got the resources and materials he wanted, while the lower sorcerer also got the blessing of the Shiri and the upper one. Both sides took what they needed, and naturally everything was happy.

But the resulting Dragon's wrath could only be borne by the entire Sorcerer's camp!

A superior sorcerer who wanted to study the demonic bloodline would entangle a group of sorcerers to break into the Abyssal World and fight the Abyssal Lords there. Whether or not the Abyssal World was so powerful that it was a match for the witch camp was of no concern at all.

Yes, it had to be said that Split Brain Sock's perception was still accurate.

The entire Sorcerer camp's external attack strategy was like a multi-headed snake, ripping off bites wherever there was an advantage, yet it rarely showed a clear and distinct strategic thought!

Honestly, if the enemy hadn't been similarly chaotic and disorganized, the witch camp would have been in big trouble already.

Vulcan devotees....

Oh, it looks like I've been targeted by that Vulcan Sinai once again!

Grim shook his head and laughed.

It couldn't be helped, the Fire God Pearl was a Fire Supreme Treasure that he would never part with. Therefore, there was no room for him to turn the feud with the Fire God Sinai.

The Fire God Sinai was noble as a 7th rank deity, and was also a small name in the world of gods, with many gods under his command. Once he was targeted by such a guy, even Grim would feel numb and his heart banging wildly.

In the past, when he was hiding inside the Sorcerer's World, the other party would be helpless even if he was capable. But now that he stepped out of the bit plane and entered the outer domain, there were many places where the other party could count on him.

A direct attack on Camp Esoda would naturally be a joke.

The Esoda camp was also guarded by a 7th rank Grand Sorcerer, and the camp wasn't weak either. If that Fire God Sinai really lost his mind and ran to seek revenge, Grim would definitely wake up laughing in his sleep.

Directly attacking Esoda's camp wouldn't work, so the most effective means for the other side would be to find out where Grim was or where he was, and then set up an ambush to hunt him down.

This also required Grim to be careful when coming and going in the future, never giving the enemy the chance to catch him alone. Otherwise, the other party would be able to kill him by sending in a random 6th rank genus god or bilocation!

It was precisely because of this consideration that Grim had abandoned Camp Esoda, choosing instead to settle on the Fire Elemental Plane.

Nothing else, it was too mixed with fish and dragons here, and it was difficult to guard against hidden arrows from behind. On the other hand, the Fire Elemental plane could be attacked and defended, so it was a good temporary residence.

As for whether or not that Fire God Sinai would run to the Fire Elemental Plane to trouble him, that was a bit too much to worry about.

One had to know that a Flame Deity was the Tang Monk's meat that all high level flame creatures coveted. If he really dared to sheep into the tiger's mouth and dispatch a genus or billet into the Fire Elemental Plane, he could definitely cause a riot among the Flame Lords.

The thing that made the fire deity a target for many flame lords to fight over was the divine grid within them. It was a flame power converter of the highest level, and it was applicable to any flame creature.

An intact flame divine grid could elevate any rank 4 flame creature directly to rank 5. The fragments of the Flame Divine Grid that were formed after it fractured could also raise the power of a flame creature quite a bit, depending on the amount.

Like the Flame Goddess Grid fragment that Grim had captured earlier, it was enough to directly elevate a newborn apprentice level flame creature to the peak of 4th rank, which was the demigod level. Its terrifying power could be imagined.

It was because of the power and rarity of the Divine Fragment that Grim was reluctant to use it to boost his own power. Rather, he left it inside the Lighted Splitter and hid it in the Wizard World.

He wasn't that stupid to take the Divine Grid Fragment with him all over the world and bring it into the Fire Elemental Plane. If he did, I'm afraid that Flame Monarch Gromse would have to make a move on him the moment he sensed the breath of the divine Grid Fragment.

Friendship....affection....

These empty and hypocritical words are worthless in the face of great profit!

Before the 5th rank, he wasn't qualified to study a divine object like a divine grid fragment. And now that he had become a rank 5 Grand Sorcerer, he had to find himself a safe and secluded enough residence as soon as possible, and then start researching those long-stalled subjects as soon as possible.
