Age of Adepts

Chapter 1480 - The Hidden Secrets of the Gods

Just as Grim couldn't help but want to get mad, a loud rumbling from the distance finally eased his embarrassment.

The strong orcs were coming!

The several great sorcerers looked at each other and stepped out of the city hall in unison, slowly floating up into the sky towards the northern city wall.

The powerful orcs who had come from afar finally encountered the several great sorcerers three miles outside of the city of Danmojo.

The rolling dust dragons finally stopped.

When the smoke and dust that had risen from the confusion gradually dispersed, five strange orc strongmen with different forms and professions were revealed inside.

Two Beast Soul Warriors, a Shaman, a Sword Saint, and a Beast Tamer....

The career match was reasonable, but there were still too many melee carrying blade pieces and too few elemental long-range attackers. However, this wasn't their fault, but rather the orcs were a race that originally lacked the brains to play with elemental spells.

Within the cackle bit, the upper limit of power that both orcs and sorcerers could exert was the peak of 4th rank. However, Orcs can call on the blessings of the Beast God to gain supreme power, while Wizards have special means to break through the upper limit of their power.

Therefore, if they really had to face each other, both sides would be half a catty, and the outcome would depend on each other's individual battle strength!

Grim floated in mid-air, silently surveying the five orcs on the other side as he fought against the ubiquitous laws of the position with the power of rules.

They were indeed mortal bodies that had yet to reach the point of transcendence.

However, deep within their souls lurked a golden mass of light that was impossible to look at directly, which vaguely emitted untraceable and strange fluctuations of consciousness.

Séance technique... consciousness projection....

In an instant, these two familiar words flowed slowly through Grim's heart.

The five orcs in front of them were no longer 'themselves' long ago!

After a special séance ceremony, the orc deities in the distant divine kingdoms had projected wisps of their soul consciousness into the depths of their souls, thus remotely sensing everything they saw and heard.

Therefore, it wasn't just the five strong orcs in front of them that would be fighting the witches later, but also the five consciousness projections that were leaping within their souls.

To be honest, when it was discovered that the beastmen had only consciousness projections lurking within their bodies, and not the real Beast God's body, the desire to fight was instantly halved by the several great sorcerers.

It couldn't be helped, fighting against this kind of consciousness projection was really somewhat more than enough. Even if they were lucky enough to win, they would not be able to obtain the precious fragment of the Godhead. Therefore, when they realized that the other party was using a séance, several of the great sorcerers were somewhat unable to lift their spirits to fight.

It should be known that most deities hid their bodies within the divine kingdom to avoid being besieged by enemies. And with the many means they had to extend their power out, the most common means they used to project their power into the bitterness was séance or bilocation.

Both are a means of projecting consciousness, but carry completely different substrates!

Séance is the use of an actual existing believer's body as a vehicle to project some of the spirit power over and manipulate the other's body in a fused or occupied manner. In this way, the deity also acquires a consciousness vehicle that can walk freely within the plane.

In addition to this, the deity is also able to descend its will without relying on the body of a believer. However, such a descent required a fragment of the Godhead to act as a power carrier, hence it was also known as a deity's split body.

Both have their advantages and disadvantages, it doesn't matter who is better or worse!

Although Séance can cast power, it is severely limited by the quality and basic battle strength of the descending individual. If the descending individual's basic strength was insufficient, it would not be able to bring out the full power of the Beast God's Consciousness Projection.

And while the deity bilocation doesn't have any problems in this regard, it gives the enemy a chance to steal the fragments of their own divine personality!

It must be known that the Gods and the Sorcerer camp had been fighting each other for so long that they knew each other well, and they had plenty of means to destroy each other's power.

The crystals formed by the purest and purest power of the world's rules were irresistible to both sorcerers and deities.

Even the tiniest fragment of the Godhead could save a sorcerer nearly a thousand years of time to comprehend the rules of the world.

In the world of the gods, a single fragment of divinity could immediately elevate the humblest mortal to the top of the world as a demigod, that is, to the peak of the 4th rank. On the other hand, ten fragments of a God's Character combined into one true God's Character, would make him transcend the mundane and become a truly immortal deity.

And so on for the subsequent ranks of deity.

Those with 1 complete divine grid were weak gods (5th rank), those with 2 complete divine grids were medium gods (6th rank), those with 4 complete divine grids were high gods (7th rank), those with 8 complete divine grids were powerful gods (8th rank), and those with 16 complete divine grids were master gods (9th rank)....

This was an important indicator of the hierarchy of deities in the world of the gods.

However, very often the deities were also very hypocritical and vain!

Those guys who had created a huge divine system themselves and had many gods would also appoint themselves as the main god of the divine system even though their divine power rank had not yet reached the 9th step. And this kind of thing was not uncommon in the world of gods.

Even many gods who had a large seat of faith all to themselves, who never communicated or contacted the outside world, would dare to claim the title of Divine Lord God with a rank of 6. And this was both the case for the Faun bit that Grim had 'visited'.

It would be fine if these small remote divine systems remained in hiding, but once they opened their positions to integrate into the world of the gods, their arrogant move of overstepping the boundaries of divine power would be met with a joint conquest by other powerful divine systems.

That's why that Elven divine lineage in the Faun Position had been invaded by the Pale Witches for so long without seeking help from the outside world.

Such a vast and complex knowledge of the seat god system flowed quickly through Grim's heart, also making him lose hope for the battle to come, and even more so, making him feel extremely fortunate that he was able to acquire a shard of the god system so 'easily' within the Sorcerer's World.

However, there was no way to understand the mindset of the few great sorcerers, the powerful orcs across the street.

From the moment they saw the great sorcerers, the orcish strongmen had exploded with excitement.

They could see very clearly that the bodies and souls of the several Great Sorcerers still had a large number of chains of the laws of the bits wrapped around them, and the energy levels in their bodies were also suppressed at an extremely low level.

Kill it while it lasts!

The five strong beastmen immediately pounced on it with a cry.

These ungrateful things....

Grim and the others cursed in their hearts, not originally wanting to fight these poor 'nothing' people. But the enemy had already pounced on them, so they would have to fight even if they didn't.

And so, with their hearts full of resentment, the great wizards were able to meet them.

The enemy that Grim had chosen for himself was that tamer.

Compared to the Sword Saint's razor sharpness, the Beast Soul Warrior's unparalleled fury, and the Shaman's multiple spell casting abilities, the Beast Tamer should be considered a more mediocre combat profession!

But Grim's thoughts are good, but things many times don't go as well as they should.

The green orc with a height of 2 meters and a not too sturdy physique pulled out the dark green cane whip at his waist the first moment he saw Grim.

Crack.....

With the vigorous swinging of his cane whip, the bit void snapped while he mouthed words and pounded out some arcane and obscure spells that Grim could not understand.

In the next second, a dense spatial ripple rippled at the bit void, followed by a flash of silver light, and suddenly a huge Behemoth of ten meters in size emerged.

It was a powerful war monster specially bred by the Beastmen Kingdom.

Every time its huge meter-long feet landed on the ground, it caused the earth to tremble violently; every part of its body was so thick and strong, especially the pair of fierce red pupils that were filled with bloodthirsty light...

Shoulders that were five meters wide, triangular muscles that bulged high on both sides like hillocks, and muscles covered by hair that could only be described as terrifying. And at the end of its thick arms were hundred-inch long terrifying claws, each one comparable to the dragon lances of human national dragon riders....

The fear of the Behemoths was in their ferocity and fearlessness!

Known as invincible in land warfare, the Behemoth can be so powerful as an adult that it can hunt dragons of the same class.

Grim couldn't help but feel a little dizzy.

He could never have imagined that the first thing this humble beast tamer would summon was such a violent and tyrannical Bismon beast. Moreover, looking at the silvery glow around its body, it seemed to be a different species of Bismon beast, and must have some strange power that outsiders couldn't know.

As soon as the beast was summoned, it stood up and let out a furious roar that shocked the entire audience, then slumped down and crashed into Grim like a moving mountain.

Before it could even get close, the heavy rumbling pace and the great seismic wave that seemed like the heavens and earth collapsing reeled out, causing the city of Danmojo, which was not far behind Grim, to tremble with fear.

Grim didn't hesitate to rise into the sky and quickly flew a hundred meters into the air.

However, at the moment when he was already safe himself, the huge Behemoth of ten high actually leapt up, waving its hundred inch long sharp claws and grabbing at it.

Damn, such a bulky fellow could actually jump this high!

Grim appeared at a height of two hundred meters with a flaming leap, which was only able to dodge the behemoth's wildly swinging finger blades.

Grim bared....

The air exploded and the void trembled.

Ten crisscrossing scratches of air appeared in Grim's original position, which hadn't dissipated for a long time.

Thud....

A celestial cracking sound.

The landed Behemoth smashed out a pit on the ground that was a hundred meters wide and ten meters deep. But it only shook its head slightly, as if nothing had happened, crawled out of the pit, half-standing up and waving a drink at Grim, a provocative appearance of untamed and disobedient to fight.
