Age of Adepts

Chapter 1498 - Calling on Sarupo

Stereotypes do Hestock a disservice in the end!

Among the 5th rank sorcerers he had come across in the past, it wasn't that surprising that there were plenty of people who could inspire 5th rank sorcery. But those who could turn 5th Order Sorcery into instantaneous, were few to none.

And the vast majority of those who could do this were strong within the 5th rank. But the young fire witch in front of him didn't look like the latter in any way.

Of course, these 5th stage sorceries might not have come from themselves, but were inspired by a powerful sorcery or artifact. But for a newcomer who had just stepped into the 5th step to have two high level items that could inspire 5th step sorcery to appear in his hands, this was... too unimaginable!

It was because of this knowledge that it also caused Heistock, who was not too sensitive to the elements or rules, to suffer a big loss. If he had been able to perceive that purple-black venom in advance that it was a rank 5 poison art, he wouldn't have been so cheap to blow it up.

This was a disaster for him!

The bursting acidic rotten venom instantly overturned the surrounding area, the sticky, foul-smelling black liquid landing on his divine body, corroding and poisoning it with a strange zipping sound. A terrifying puff of smoke emitted from his God Torso, revealing small holes that pitted underneath.

Although the God's torso was immune to the world's toxins, it was not completely immune to this venom that was full of violent rules.

Heistock roared, the huge divine power from the distant country of the gods, over and over again, washed over the torn body of the gods, cleansing the poisonous rules that were eating away at the body of the gods.

And taking advantage of this opportunity, the long battle to no avail, Antuso and Bihua again whistling up, around the green smoke of the tyrannical God again fight.

Grim, on the other hand, took the opportunity to slip away, gulping down the original liquid of life, and pouring down a full belly of high-grade healing potions like they were free. Only then did he manage to drive his own recovery power to begin healing the huge wound behind him.

The Life Liquid, this kind of quenching essence from the Elven Tree of Life, when placed within the plane was a 'healing potion for the dead and medicine for the bones'. Unfortunately, for a guy like Grim, whose life level has been raised to the flesh* body limit and whose potential has been dug cleanly, the effect of the life fluid is greatly diminished.

It was barely enough to stimulate his *flesh* body and accelerate the basic recovery just a little!

The same was true for the higher-grade healing potions, in order to exert some effect, they could only be poured down by the tons. Otherwise, the rule body after the promotion of the rank was enough to block any external substances from transforming and invading the body.

The battles of the 5th ranked classes were so terrifying that after they occupied the vast battlefield, those minions below 5th rank could only hide far away, not daring to approach the battlefield by a fraction.

Even those 4th rank orcs were not qualified to participate in such 5th rank battles.

Within the bit plane, with the suppression of the bit plane's power, the 4th tier might be able to compete with the 5th tier that was greatly compromised in all aspects of attack and defense. However, once they left the surface space, in the unrestrained void of the starry sea, the terrifying power of the 5th rank creatures immediately became apparent.

All below the 5th rank were mortals, and only by crossing the 5th rank could they become gods in one step and become a divine being in the Multiverse!

The few people present were undoubtedly such powerful and unparalleled divine beings.

Thus, when they fought together, the entire battlefield almost encompassed a huge space of nearly a hundred miles around them.

A single flash was a thousand meters away, a single jump was often as far as ten miles away, and the ripples of power inspired by their punches and kicks swept across the void, shattering the stars... If they were inside a bit plane, these seven divine beings' battle would have been enough to burst those small bit planes.

Even the medium bits were mostly dying and mortally wounded by them like this!

There was no way around it, the power they individually stored and possessed had far exceeded the limits of the planetary creatures, reaching the terrifying level of opening mountains with a punch, cracking the ground with a kick, and annihilating a hundred miles with a single spell.

What they had destroyed during their mad battle was not only real matter, but also the invisible and insubstantial laws of the bit plane.

Within the space they were accommodating, even the laws of the bit plane had to give way to them.

Where their power extended, the laws of the plane were tampered with and rewritten, and the system of rules of the plane was messed up. No matter how powerful the bitonal consciousness was, it couldn't extinguish these alien laws imbued with a strong personal will, and could only give in step by step, losing its chips a little.

Fortunately, this was an empty void in the Star Ocean, and apart from the undulating and turbulent tides of magical power, there were no annoying and obtrusive bits of will. So a few people also did their best to fight in the depths of this void of amazing energy radiation, and the world crumbled.

The orc warriors who were caught up in the divine battle didn't even have a chance to cry out before they were crushed to pieces by the power ripples. On the contrary, the main force of the Sorcerer's side had the Giant Rock Battle Fortress as its support, and escaped the incoming waves of energy tremors.

However, the outermost layer of the Giant Rock Battle Fortress also collapsed and disintegrated in half, resulting in the loss of many witch beasts and low-level sorcerers.

The battle lasted for three days and three nights, and only when both sides were somewhat overwhelmed by the battle did the two orc deities lead the retreat with great resentment.

There was no way around it, the two sides were so close in power that either side would have to pay a high price to completely blow the other up. And it was clear that neither side had any intention of making this sacrifice, and would have to accept this 'helpless' ending!

The two resident Grand Sorcerers originally wanted to leave Grim three inside the battle fort to rest and recover, but they were directly rejected by several people. They dragged their crippled bodies and returned straight back to the battle headquarters with the aid of the teleportation array inside the battle fort.

This time out, although they did not make any gains, they managed to repel the attacks of the two orc deities. Thus, the double quest reward was immediately pocketed, and the three of them were given a rest period of six months without having to fight, before nodding goodbye to return to their respective dwellings.

It had to be said that with this experience of 'suffering together', Grim's relationship with Antuso and Biwa instantly went from strange to familiar, and they exchanged sorcery contact methods with each other, becoming true 'companions'!

Now that you had become a 5th rank Grand Sorcerer, it was impossible to go on alone like you had in the past. Striving to get to know more Grand Sorcerers and build a wider network of relationships was also a way and means to increase one's power and status in the short term.

After all, Grim had enemies outside as well.

That Mesa Grand Sorceress was a 7th rank big shot, and must have considerable influence within the Sorcerer's camp. If Grim was always unsupported and couldn't even find a helper, he would easily be left alone at a critical time and be rubbed out at will.

That's why Grim was so enthusiastic about participating in the external development of the Wizard Civilization, in order to defend himself against the conspiracies and plans that might come his way. And even more so, he was constantly probing and examining the divisions within the Wizard Civilization to determine his future station.

It was not that he was cursing the wizard civilization, but rather its true experience of what he had seen and heard with his own eyes and ears. The witch civilization was never a single entity, but rather divided into multiple witch camps with different values and directions to explore.

Like the one he was currently in, the witch camp was a group of people with an 8th level Barbara Witch as their leader, who was targeting the Orcs. The entire battle depended entirely on the personal will of that Barbara Witch, who was the head behind this battle, while Grim was, at best, just a war general within this group who had just gotten rid of his pawn status!

And Grim had made a special investigation, this Barbara Witch could have no connection to the Northland Witch. Otherwise, to death, he wouldn't dare to come here.

In his investigation, it seemed that the Northern Witches had their own system and didn't like to mix with witches from other factions. This also made the Northland witches deeply rejected by other factions, and the relationship between them was not so harmonious.

Now, he only hoped that this Barbara witch was tough enough to isolate Misa's power. Only then would he be able to grow smoothly and become stronger step by step.

.................

Just outside of the Rotunda, Grim unexpectedly encountered an 'acquaintance'.

Sanaza!

The other party seemed to have been waiting for him for a long time, and upon seeing Grim, he looked slightly embarrassed and stopped him.

"Lord Sarupo wants to see you!"

Sarupo.....

Grim chimed in, feeling that there was no great problem, and agreed to go along.

Following the cloaked in purple mist, Sanaza passed in and out of the giant rock castle, walking through a winding corridor and tunnels, finally stopping at the entrance to one of the dwellings on the upper floors of the castle.

Here, Sanaza bowed and stepped aside, no longer speaking, and seemingly with no intention of going in with Grim.

As Grim passed by her side, he examined her offhandedly for a few moments, watching Sanaza's heart pound and look shy and angry, but with a strong, patient hooked head that was speechless.

"If you have nothing to do tomorrow, go to my residence and I will compensate you appropriately..." gently putting down a sentence, Grim ignored Sanaza, whose face changed drastically, pushed open the door of the residence and stepped inside.

Inside the residence, a middle-aged wizard with a vaguely familiar appearance was silently waiting inside, seeing Grim's arrival, his gaze fell straight on him.

"Drop, special rule fluctuations detected... After analysis, the target creature is a High Rule Aggregate... Within a hundred meters of its circumference, the target possesses absolute suppression of rules, please keep the subject alert..."

Grim laughed bitterly inside, but on the surface, he still looked the same, respectfully bowing deeply to the middle-aged sorcerer.

"It's a pleasure to be able to pay my respects to you again, esteemed Sarupo Grand Sorcerer!"
