Age of Adepts

Chapter 1503 - Trophy Inspection

Divinity is a pretty good thing too!

To a certain extent, divinity is a trait that is unique to true gods.

For True Gods, divinity relates to a deity's personality, beliefs, rules of conduct, camp preferences, and a series of other mysterious energies. Mortals can gain increased longevity, increased resistance and a series of other extraordinary abilities by absorbing divinity, and attaching divinity to instruments can also add some corresponding divine characteristics.

All in all, divinity and divine personality were top resources that witches coveted!

"Drip, divinity detection is complete!"

"The target deity is affiliated with Hall, the god of hunting, 6th rank, a medium god of the orc goddess line, with an estimated total of 24 points, and the areas covered by the priesthood include hunting, killing, rituals, archery, beasts, tracking, trap making, and perception..."

"The target divinity possesses the divine traits of bleed, must hit, tracking mark, saving throws, decapitation..."

"If the subject absorbs the divine directly, it can be used to enhance basic physical qualities or to strengthen a particular aspect of basic traits alone... but the divine nature favors killing and tracking, and can only be used to strengthen agility and mental perception... 38 points. Divinity is expected to give this body a 6-point increase in agility and a 30% increase in mental perception range..."

"If you nourish the Star Beast bloodline with this divinity, it is expected to increase the progress of bloodline unlocking by 26%..."

"If the subject's life force is nourished with this divinity, it is expected to bring a 380-year lifespan extension..."

"If divinity is used on mundane creatures, 1 point of divinity can add some random divine traits to them in the corresponding field... A single creature using more than 5 points of divinity will leap directly to divinity.... "

........

........

Looking at the one and one item listed by the chip, Grim was also in a state of excitement and emotion. Divinity really was a good thing, being able to bring him such a huge increase in strength.

Only the thought that these divine traits in front of him could only be used to improve agility, Grim was still a little blocked in his heart. Of the four main attributes of Strength, Physique, Agility, and Spirit, the one that was the most useless to him was Agility.

He, a Master of the Law, the mighty fire battery of the entire multiverse, did not need mysterious and unpredictable positioning and swift as a ghost on the battlefield, all that was needed was bombing, bombing, bombing....

So, out of the four main attributes, Grim's Agility was only 18 points so far. Even if it was pushed up to 24 points by the divinity in front of him, it seemed...probably...probably...it wouldn't help him in any substantial way in his current battle.

Of course, the Agility attribute might not be important to Grim, but it was exceptionally important to Mary. However, Mary had now reached the peak of 4th level, being above the Divine Mortal Threshold, and her Agility had reached its limit of 49 points, so even if she wanted to raise it, there was no way to raise it.

Therefore, these things were also useless to the current Mary for now.

As for using divinity to increase her life force, this was even more of a profligate idea!

Grim's current lifespan was now a whopping twelve thousand years, and his current journey through life was less than one twentieth of his total life. Under such circumstances, an additional three hundred years or so of extension didn't seem to be of much use.

Using divinity to create divine creatures?

If Grim were a powerful deity with an endless supply of divinity, it might be a good idea to create a pet or two to keep him company forever. But Grim took the route of a sorcerer, and the chances to acquire divinity would only come from the battlefield.

Therefore, he didn't have the qualifications or strength to be so wasteful and extravagant!

In this analysis, the best way to use these divine qualities is to nourish the bloodline of star beasts or create powerful sorcery. The only weapons that Grim has in his hands now are the ones that were looted from outsiders, but he doesn't have a single real witch weapon that he can use.

This was simply too much for a self-confident sorcerer.

However, Grim wasn't proficient in crafting sorcery, so if he wanted to tailor-make a high-grade sorcery for himself, he would have to explore it slowly.

Since he had already made up his mind, Grim no longer hesitated, but instead straightaway put his hand into this mass of divinity and silently absorbed it.

Absorbing the divine nature was not that simple, first of all, one had to annihilate the will of that deity's soul that remained inside the divine nature. Otherwise, rashly absorbing a deity's divine nature would make one become a host for the opponent's soul.

Once the other party unleashed their power, Grim would also become the other party's soul puppet.

Such pitfalls and mistakes Grim would never make!

The method that Grim used to annihilate the will of Hall's divine soul was the Rule Flame.

The layers of the Rule Flame were not weaker than things like divine power and soul in the slightest, so using the Rule Flame was already enough to annihilate the appendages that shouldn't exist inside.

"Damned wizard, I've memorized the scent of your soul... You'll be my prey one day, and I'll..."

Under the burning of the rule power of the Indestructible Flame, wisps of black smoke escaped from inside the divine light cluster, coalescing before Grim's eyes into a large, ugly face of the Hunting God, Hall.

He roared, drank angrily, and cursed... but he was never able to stop Grim from steadfastly annihilating this strand of his divine will.

Hehe, a 6th rank medium god with a divine Grid equivalency of 24 points, this time the split body was annihilated, paying for 3 fragments of the divine Grid. This also meant that his divine grid equivalency had fallen to 21 points.

This 21 points was either high or low, still allowing it to maintain within the category of a medium god. However... in case something else went wrong and he lost one or two fragments of his God Grid, his rank would be in jeopardy.

Once the total amount of divine grid fell below 20 points, he wouldn't be able to keep his medium deity rank, and even the divine Kingdom would suffer from this, shrinking by nearly half. Even if he acquired some divine grid fragments afterwards to regain his 6th rank, the nearly half of the collapsed divine kingdom would need to consume a huge amount of divine power to expand if it wanted to recover again.

Once such a situation occurred, it would be a huge disaster for any deity!

So, whether or not that hunting god, Hall, still dared to descend at will to part with his body was a new challenge.

And it was also an unspeakable sore point for the deities.

Lowering the bilocation and being able to replace the original body to move around everywhere at will was undoubtedly a great convenience for them. But once the bilocation was broken, the fragments of the Godhead could not escape back, and the power they lost was real.

The power level of a deity was in the total amount of divine grid they controlled.

According to the rules of the World of Gods, the amount of effort, energy, and time it took for the deities to condense the divine grid fragments from the Bit World through the faith of their followers was exceptionally terrifying.

Under normal circumstances, a deity with a hundred thousand devout believers would take a thousand years to gather a fragment of the God Grid from within the belief system of the bit plane. This was still a benefit that only existed when there were no other deities to compete with for the corresponding divine position.

Once another deity stepped into his relevant priesthood, the rate of transformation of the grid's power would be determined by the strength of their control over that priesthood's domain. The more 'gods' that were divided up, the slower the rate at which the divine power would be transformed into divine grid fragments.

So, even without the invasion of witches, the world of the gods wasn't a clean slate!

Almost every deity system and every deity had more or less overlapping priesthood fields with each other, but as long as the main priesthood wasn't involved, there was still room for moderation and compromise. But if two deities' main priesthoods clashed, then there was no room for mercy.

Whoever had the biggest fist lived to inherit everything!

The other one could only have his soul annihilated, the kingdom of God collapsed, and the remaining believers were either taken in by the other side and reformed, or they had to sink along with the dead deity....

Just like two gods of death cannot exist in one world, once the two deities of the Death Deity system completely overlap, even if the bit consciousness doesn't push it, they will still end up with each other.

It was precisely because the world of the gods was also incessantly warring within the world, which gave the sorcerer's camp a great opportunity to find a loophole to enter and woo the many deities.

And the divine character, the divine nature, was the most valuable treasure the witches could obtain!

Divinity was able to enhance one's strength or pair it with a divine grimoire to make a high level sorcerer, which was a rule of faith transformer that could transform the power of a believer's faith into the purest divine power.

Only, Grim was a sorcerer, not a deity, so he couldn't directly utilize this power. However, that didn't mean that Grim couldn't use the Divine Grid to enhance his personal strength.

At the very least, Grim had a treasure in his hands that could utilize the divine Grid....

Vulcan beads!

The Fire God Bead was originally a 5th level artifact created by the God of Flames in the World of Gods using the flame divinity. The fragment of the divine Grid that was obtained from the Flame God's part was used to improve the quality of the Fire God Bead, which was undoubtedly a good idea.

With the Fire God Bead's power improved, Grim's power naturally rose, and he was able to invoke flame energy to a greater extent.

As for the two grimoires in front of them that were obtained from the God of Hunting, it was perhaps most appropriate to use them for sacrifice.

If they were sacrificed to the Fire Elemental Plane, and used to raise the level of the Flame Rule that Grim was currently controlling, this would obviously be more direct and pure than any external improvement.

Of course, sacrificing them to the Sorcerer World's bit consciousness wasn't bad either. It was a pity that the Sorcerer World couldn't give him the flame rules he needed, so it was still more appropriate on the Fire Elemental Side.

The more he thought about it, the more impatient Grim became.

Not caring about recuperating his body in his residence, Grim hurried to the teleportation array at the Giant Rock Castle and returned to the Fire Elemental Plane once again. And this time, he even used the origin connection between his souls to also give an order to that lighted billet inside the Sorcerer's World.
