Age of Adepts

Chapter 1508 - Sacred Cappy

Mary couldn't help but sigh as she watched the seductive divinity that was swimming in the golden mass of light.

"Cheap shot, brat, come to life right now!"

With a slender finger, the divinity immediately didn't enter into Cappy's soul void.

Like a sun suddenly stuffed into the soul, Cappy, who was dying a moment ago, as if a slightly stronger breeze could blow his soul away, suddenly burst out with a piercing radiance.

With divinity as its foundation, the souls that had already been fragmented were once again complete.

Even some of the soul fragments that had already scattered out were drawn by the mysterious power to once again emerge from the void and merge into the soul void that was covered in a mysterious atmosphere.

Whirlingly, the soul shadow returned to its dead and decayed body, beckoned by spirit and flesh. Where the golden light shone, the body that had withered and lost all its moisture was once again full and shiny.

Powerful and exuberant vitality surged in Kabi's thin and wasted body, and its soul radiated divine and pure light, cleansing the body that had sunk and decayed.

The original chaps and folds of skin once again became flat and smooth, and the originally obscure body surface began to shine with a luminescence filled with a sense of life and power. Its skin, flesh, tendons, and even the blood that flowed endlessly within its body became nearly transparent, emitting a divine light that made one want to worship it.

"Holy Spirit!" The elf priestess who had been watching with wide eyes couldn't help but cry out in shock.

In the elven books she had read, elven deities would sometimes descend on certain believers for the sake of their divine gifts, spotting them as saints with divine powers. And these guys who possessed some of the divine characteristics were called 'Holy Ghosts'!

It is said that only the most devout devotees can be transformed into the 'Holy Spirit' by the deities after going through many trials and tribulations. The Holy Spirit, in turn, could represent the deities and become the deities' spokesperson in the secular world, as well as the deities' living force to preach their teachings and expand their followers.

Therefore, in the eyes of that elf priestess, the scene that she witnessed was no less than a deity giving her divinity to ignite a great 'Holy Spirit'.

Only that on one side was the dreadful Blood Queen, and on the other side was a lowly green-skinned gnome... Such a rash and casual scene had simply somewhat subverted her perception.

The elven priestess hurriedly closed her eyes and listened to the terrifying sound of a building crumbling somewhere within herself!

After all, Locke was already a knowledgeable and intelligent 3rd rank wizard.

Although he didn't recognize divinity earlier, he was able to discern the origin of the golden thread that didn't enter Cappy's soul from the goblin Cappy's later behavior and the elf priestess's scream.

Divinity... it was actually divinity!

This kind of thing was never available in the Sorcerer's World, and could only be obtained by going to the Gods World .

Divinity was something that he had only read about in books, knowing that it could prolong life, improve physique, and enhance soul strength... However, he knew even more that the greatest benefit of divinity to mortals was... divinization!

It was said that 5 points of divinity could turn a mortal into a divine creature.

That would mean that the lucky man would then have an immortal body and an indestructible soul!

It will have a body as holy and pure as that of a deity, and will no longer be affected by cold, heat, acidity, curses, or aging. And its soul was even tough enough to resist the attacks of 3rd level instant death type spells.

So many benefits, such a huge improvement, was the change that divinity could bring....

At the thought of that green-skinned goblin Cappy, who was no more than a rank 2 in the district, being able to enjoy a divine bestowal, Locke's heart was roaring and stirring madly. It covered its heart and laboriously fell to its knees, using all its strength to stop its body from trembling.

If... if that divinity was bestowed upon me, what a tremendous elevation I would receive!

Locke buried his head deeply.

And in this moment of intense struggle between Locke and the elfess' thoughts, the goblin Cappy had moved its body and climbed up from the luxurious bed.

And it was as if it had suddenly reverted back to its old age, its body and appearance returning to the most powerful and beautiful moment of its life and firmly solidified.

Moving its little arms and legs, sensing the explosive power and inexhaustible energy within, Cappy finally lifted its head in curiosity and inquired.

"Master Mary, what is this that you have bestowed upon me! And it worked...I...I actually came back to life..."

"Huh?" Mary muffled a brittle voice, "Since you're alive, manage the goblins a little better and make them all behave. Remember, this 1 point of divinity will only allow you to live for another hundred years. Work well for me, and if you perform well, I will continue to grant you divinity..."

"Yes yes yes! Cappy is going to discipline the disobedient ones..." the Cappy jumped around in excitement, and by the time it raised its head again, Mary's figure had disappeared without a trace.

After sensing that Mary had left, the goblin wizard Locke, who was kneeling on the ground, then stood up and congratulated the other with a smile on his face, "Congratulations, Lord Cappy! I was blessed with divinity, and I'm about to soar to the heavens from now on..."

In the past, Locke relied on its status as a 3rd rank wizard, even when Cappy was alive it was untamed. But now, it seemed so polite that it even had a bit of a slavish taste.

Cappy was slightly startled, then ran over and grabbed the hand of the Locke Sorcerer, asking with an excited face, "Lord Locke, you are most knowledgeable, you must know about divinity. How about... you tell me right now... what is divinity?"

"Let's talk as we walk! You'd better show up early, or else who knows what those guys will do... "Closely perceiving the divine power emanating from Goblin Cappy's body, even Rock, who was one level higher than it, felt somewhat tied down and depressed under this power.

Locke couldn't help but sigh inwardly.

The pearl of light! How nice it would be if I were given this bit of divinity....

But from this, it also realized what kind of position this Goblin Cappy held in the hearts of the two Crimson Controllers. It seemed that it would have to get on better terms with this Cappy in the future....

...................

Inside the Hall of Witchcraft.

A 'hot quarrel' was going on in a frenzy.

Spittle and boots flew in unison, reason and fists both arrived, and all the goblins put out a million and two enthusiasm to greet their political opponents, doing their best to canvass for votes for the established candidates.

However, while everyone was arguing so loudly, fists and feet were flying, a golden, gilded, jewel-encrusted, extravagant and ostentatious boot flew out, hitting the forehead of the goblin Zaibatsu leader who was perched on the president's throne, gesticulating and salivating.

With an 'oops' scream, the plutocrat leader was tragically smashed to the ground.

But immediately it climbed up with a single bone, picking up the golden boot and shouting, "Who... which bastard plotted against me...?"

"It's me!" A vaguely familiar voice suddenly came from outside the hall.

The goblins fighting in a heap in the hall Ug stopped their brawl and turned their heads together to look at the entrance. There, two goblins were holding hands and walking in side by side as if they were close.

Uh, it's Lord Lock...then...who's the other goblin?

Inexplicably, a question rose up within all the goblins.

The new goblins may have never seen Cappy's youthful appearance before, but there were several elderly goblins present, and they all screamed out in shock, pointing at the young, tough, 'handsome' goblin as if they had seen a ghost, each one of them pointing at the young, tough, 'handsome' goblin with a strange 'ho-ho-ho' but not knowing what to say.

"Cappy...it's Lord Cappy!"

Finally, one of the old goblins screamed out.

It was like a bone-chilling wind blowing through the arena, and all the goblins stiffened in unison.

Cappy, with Locke in hand, walked through the crowd with a smirk on his face, heading to the president's throne at the top of the hall. All the goblins blocking its path, feeling a cold and intimidating atmosphere, all involuntarily gave way.

Cappy walked up to the throne, kicked away the dumbfounded Zaibatsu leader, sat down on the throne, faced the goblins who were looking at each other, and said coldly, "By the grace of Lord Mary, I have been resurrected again! From now on, I'm still in charge here, so whoever has an opinion, come forward now..."

The 3rd rank goblin wizard, Lock, stood beside his throne, and with a stroke of his wand, an invisible ripple rolled through all the goblins. All the goblins absorbed this horrible and unbelievable news, and ran back to their original positions, sitting in a disciplined and honest manner like a schoolboy who had made a mistake.

The Zaibatsu leader who had been kicked in the head, on the other hand, crawled like a maggot in front of Cappy, respectfully raising his golden boots over his head and shaking like a sieve.

And the few Goblin Salvation Society devotees all snapped out and knelt down in front of Cappy, chanting slogans like 'miracle' and 'long live Cappy'.

The whole atmosphere was immediately turned around!

....................

The farce that happened to the goblins might not even bother anyone.

But there was information about the divine nature that was spreading rapidly at a plague-like speed.

Within an hour, the entire Crimson Family's upper echelons had heard this almost 'comical and ridiculous' news. And within a day, the entire central part of the continent, all the 4th rank witches had also heard the news that shook them to the core.

That 'capricious' vampire witch, Lord Mary, who was revered as the Queen of Fresh Blood, had extravagantly used her divinity to save a 2nd rank goblin....

Honestly, the first words from all the 4th rank witches who heard the news were 'holy shit', and the first reaction was, she's crazy!

But more wizards had a slight curiosity about how much divinity was in that Mary-sama's hands.

Maybe...maybe...probably...they could trade some of it!

It was with this idea of giving it a try that a large number of family ambassadors once again gathered in the Crimson Wings.
