Age of Adepts

Chapter 7 Mysterious Shadow

A simple burning hand witchcraft takes about 2 points of mental strength, which also heralds Grimm's ability to breathe out burning hands four times at a time. But of course, it's just a theoretical value, and it's hard to do in real life, because spiritual power is also the basis of witchcraft by apprentices.

The higher the spiritual power value, the more the apprentice's spiritual strength is full. Whether thinking or witchcraft, the effect can achieve its optimal effect. But as spiritual power continues to drain, when the value is lower than its own 13, the subject falls into a state of mental depression. The biggest manifestation was dizziness, nausea, and nausea.

At this time, a witchcraft that normally takes 5 seconds to complete, I'm afraid it won't take 10 seconds to complete now, and the chances of failing to do so will rise in a straight line.

So any wizard who uses it frequently tries to retain a certain amount of mental power to avoid the many after-effects of a complete depletion of mental power.

Grimm now exhibits this symptom, clearly indicating that he has less than 5 per cent mental capacity and has entered a state of mental failure. The only solution to this situation is to get a good night's sleep and recover your spiritual strength with enough sleep.

The chip works really well, but what it does consume is Grim's mental power. As a result, Grimm struggled to climb to bed and fell asleep there.

Night will soon come!

The candle flames in the tower went out again and again when a large lunar disc appeared hidden in the dark sky. The colder the swamp tower, the more silent it is!

Somehow, a highly challenged and strange shadow suddenly appeared in front of Grimm's bed, bowing down slightly and staring at him silently.

Grimm did not sleep steadily due to excessive mental loss. Even in his sleep, his eyebrows were tight and he looked painful.

Weird human shapes face the moonlight on their backs, the whole body is immersed in an unknown darkness, unable to see clearly, but only a pair of scarlet blood eyes sparkle, making it cold.

“Blood… Blood… I want blood…”

Black shadow trembles out his hands trying to strangle Grim's neck, but he always shrank back, as if his heart was extremely reluctant, and his mind struggled intensely. And its mouth is even more ambiguous, repeating these words, showing a state of confusion.

Finally, a line of clarity in the mind freed it from its strong desire for blood, swept a deep glance at Grimm, who knew nothing about it, and turned out the narrow window.

Outside the window is a near-straight green stone tower, and as a wizard tower, it naturally has a terrible sorcery matrix attached to it, and it is impossible to let outsiders in and out at will. But the weird thing is that this shadow is like a gecko swimming around the tower without triggering any sorcery matrix.

And this, obviously, can only be done by a sorcerer apprentice with a witchcraft talisman.

The shadows swim fast around the outside of the Wizard's Tower, quickly shaped and agile, it's amazing. And as it travels, it deliberately chooses the dark corners of the windowsill and the moonlight, making it all the more bizarre.

It moves quickly and lightly without making half a noise as it moves. It is even more deliberate, deliberately avoiding several secret chambers still lit with candlelight and searching for a long time before finding the most suitable target.

It hung in front of a narrow window and listened for a moment to make sure that the breathing sounds coming out of it were steady and long, which accidentally climbed into the narrow window.

This time it stayed a little longer until it crawled out of it again, with a faint smell of blood floating beside it.

This successful hunt was clearly satisfying to the shadow, squatting on a narrow window with an inadvertent look up at the moon disc in the sky. And that's when the big moon came out of the clouds, and the clean silver-grey moonlight was projected from the sky, shining right on it.

This is a young girl's face with a beautiful appearance and greasy skin, and two strange blood-sucking fangs with slight anger outside her lips reveal traces of blood.

Beautiful teenage girl's slim tongue licks her teeth and tastes the blood on her mouth as well, which leads her to slip out of the window and disappear into the shadows of the moonlight.

…………

Grimm was woken the next day by a rushing slap.

Shaking a slightly faint head, Grimm opened the door, which surprised him to find three people standing outside the door.

Padawan Anxor, Padawan Allen and Fenrir.

Anderson's apprenticeship status was personally designated by the Anderson Wizard, so his status is slightly more valuable and he can normally act on behalf of the Wizard Admiral in managing all the Wizard apprentices in the Tower. Plus, he has the strength of an intermediate apprentice, so his orders, the apprentices, are to obey. Otherwise, once he remembers and does whatever he wants on your tower assignment, you don't even know how to write a dead letter.

As for the other two, Alan and Fenrir, they are also the primary wizard apprentices, just like Grimm. However, they are the best at shooting horses and praise around Anxo all day long, so they are also the hearts and minds of apprentice elders.

So as long as it's where Anxo appears, there's absolutely no shortage of these two assholes, and it's more like a parasitic relationship between a killer tree and a bloodsucking demon vine. Two assholes need Anxo's care to prioritize easier and safer day-to-day tasks, and Anxo needs the help of two apprentices to deter ambitious ambitions.

Grimm's relationship with outsiders can only be considered good or bad because of his cold and isolated personality and the fact that he rarely deals with them. So it's amazing how suddenly they show up in front of their doors.

The apprentice Anxo is a young man in his twenties, with a sharp eye, a face that is not vicious but always gives rise to a sense of oppression. As soon as the wooden door opened, Anxo's blinking eyes fell on Grimm's face, giving him a hint of burning skin.

Grim's heart is dark.

He understands that this is exactly what happens when the other party's power is strong enough to overflow.

There is also a strict hierarchy between tall tower apprentices.

Those who mastered only one or two witchcraft and whose mental strength was less than 10 o'clock were junior witchcraft apprentices, the lowest level of the group. And mastered three to four witchcraft, mental strength at 11: 00 to 15: 00 is an intermediate witchcraft apprentice, already a small and powerful figure. And those who mastered more than five sorceries and reached and exceeded 16 points are the elite in the tall tower - the senior sorcerer apprentice.

And once an apprentice's spiritual strength reaches the 20-point threshold, he is eligible to become a quasi-woman and, in the eyes of the wizard master, begins to prepare for future shocks to the wizard ritual.

Unfortunately, the current swamp tower does not yet have a real quasi-woman!

As for the one in front of him, although the number of witchcraft mastered is unknown, with some special witchcraft, he can at some point play no less powerful than the senior witchcraft apprentice. Within the tall tower, there are only 3 truly high-ranking apprenticeships, eagle eyes, evil bugs, and madmen.

Of course, it's not their name, it's just their nickname.

Eagle Eye is Crusader, a horrible guy from the West Coast. To strengthen himself, he transplanted an eagle's eye and acquired some strange powers.

The evil bug is called Ntik, and he's a much more evil man than the eagle's eye, and he actually breeds a horrible bunch of bugs with his own flesh. And when he fought the war, an indiscretion was a terrible ending to all worms' hearts.

And the last madman is a violent maniac, a giant iron sword far beyond the height of ordinary people beating wizard apprentices without opponents, and a terrible guy no one dares to provoke.

They, either mastered powerful witchcraft or possessed strange special abilities, had long since graduated from their status as ordinary apprentices and become the most prominent candidates in the tower with the potential to strike quasi-words.

Therefore, in the face of the scorching stare of a powerful wizard apprentice, Grimm's apparent spiritual distress, his mind was greatly suppressed.

“Grimm, something happened in the tower last night! Did you know that?” Apprentice Anxor stared at Grimm without opening his mouth, but Alan next to him screamed.

“Something happened? Somebody got backstabbed by a witchcraft experiment?” Grimm clearly has not yet figured out the situation.

“It's not the witchcraft experiment that backfired, it's the attack that killed someone. It's in his apartment!” Looking at Grimm's bewildered eyes and surprised expression did not resemble falsehood, Anxo said slowly, his eyes still hadn't let go of any slight change in Grimm's face.

“Assault?” Grimm was shocked first, then shocked: “Who's dead? ”

Although unexpected deaths of apprentices of witches occur from time to time in swamp towers, most of them are due to dangerous tasks and eccentric witchcraft experiments, and there has never been a precedent for death from assault. After all, every wizard apprentice who is cultivated is a precious asset of Master Anderson, the tall tower wizard, who simply does not allow the apprentices to slaughter each other because of insidiousness.

If such a thing is discovered by him, the offender will inevitably be punished extremely severely.

“Millet! ”

Grimm frowned.

This Millet, he knew, was also a common apprentice who mastered only one piece of witchcraft, and he didn't know much about anything else. He was a boy with freckles on his face, a little younger than himself.

“Then you came to me to...”

“We need to see your room. This is not specific to you, but all suspected wizard apprentices need to be examined.” Anxo coldly said.

“Yeah, everyone's room has to be checked. Move aside, or Lord Wizard will blame you. Can you afford it?” Fenrir was undoubtedly the most annoying person, screaming desperately at the side.

Grimm's heart rose with anger, but he bit his teeth slowly.

Search everyone?

Eagle Eye's room. How dare you search? Evil Bug's room. How dare you search it? Not to mention the madman's room. I'm afraid we're going to meet some crazy girls. You guys have to take a detour!

Despite the rage in his heart, Grimm's face was just a little ugly, hesitated for a moment and finally sidestepped away from the door.
