Age of Adepts

Chapter 21 Running Away

With that horrible blow by Alice, it covers a huge 50-metre radius and is entirely a 360-degree unobstructed no-death cannon. Within this range, space fragments are fragmented and scary space cracks sweep almost every inch of space.

With such sharp space debris cutting, the so-called elemental resistance of the past became a joke. Personal protection at all apprenticeship levels is of no avail and does not prevent the wanton sweep of space cracks. Without a special life-saving idiot, few would be able to escape even if 10 quasi-warrows were included in Alice's attack.

Grimm really sympathizes with that evil bug at this moment. He was in the middle of a war, and he could live in between. And if the evil bug dies, Grimm has to run away immediately!

As Grimm hid in the distance and swept across the battlefield with special elemental vision, his gaze suddenly fell on a distant piece of ground.

The dirt rolled over there, ripped open a big hole, a black scorpion gushed out of it, and quickly condensed into the form of the evil insect Ntik.

Luckily, the evil bug is not dead!

The ecstasy in Grim's heart had not yet gushed, and he pushed it again.

No, this Ntik seems to have been hit very badly!

Really, the evil worm Ntik at this moment is no longer proud and spiritual at the beginning. Thousands of horrible scorpion tides that had gathered to wriggle before also left only a hundred or so, and even some reluctance to fit their bodies. The standing figure is half shorter than before, and the element fluctuations on the body are even more obscure and difficult to find. At first glance, it is a posture of great loss of fighting power.

But Alice, who just had a horrible blow, also lost her previous calm and obedience. Though it took only a few seconds for the herd to attack her body, it was wrapped all over her body by thousands of scorpions and wormed on every inch of her body's skin. This... this creepy thought actually happened to her, how does it keep her from getting angry?

Grimm only saw how miserable she was when she floated to the ground and stood upright.

Originally the petite, lovely little Lori look no longer exists. Alice's right eye turned into a huge blood hole and a line of blood slowly flowed down her tender, greasy, slippery face. The horrible scorpion poison made her body black and purple, accompanied by a nearly insane shady smile, a look that was about to burst away.

Flash!

Grimm wasn't stupid, but when she saw Alice staring at herself with horrible glances, she ran away without saying anything.

There is no chance of defeating Alice at all with her own strength, and that evil bug is obviously half broken, and there is no way to get involved in this runaway Laurie. So Grimm didn't even say hello, and the twist went into the swamp behind him.

Entique was still looking, hoping that the scorpion poison could poison this horrible Lori, but as the other side gradually shifted his eyes to himself, he could only break apart again, turning into a group of black scorpions into the underground, unaccounted for.

There was only one angry Alice left on the lookout.

Raging, angry little Lori completely stormed off, her body floating like a big bird flying in the middle of the sky, chased behind Grimm and disappeared into a thick mist.

When the calm was restored on the field, the soil tumbled under a lean, skinny, pale tree in the distance, and Ntik's wormbody condensed out again.

He stared in the direction of Alice's disappearance, hesitating and not speaking of courage to go after her. Though that little Lori was also scarred, she seemed to have some leeway. He was so unsure he was facing such a horrible guy again.

After a moment of hesitation, he bit his teeth and twisted his head to where the eagle eye was. As for the little Lori Alice, let someone else handle it!

…………

Grim is already called a bitter day at the time.

Never expected that the runaway Laurie would not go after the evil worm Ntik, but rather stare at herself as a harmless little character wildly abused.

He held his head in front of him, and the little Lori floated over a half-air 20-30 meters high, waving gently towards Grimm with that weird golden birdcage in his hand.

But Alice was somewhat surprised that the bastard who was swamped like a mouse had long rear eyes, and whenever his space stretched around his body, he knew the acceleration of the turn, leaving his spiritual locks in the open.

Once or twice, and possibly due to luck, but four or five consecutive failures in harvesting, Alice can assert that this junior apprentice is sure to perceive the power of space as well, so the thought of killing him becomes more intense.

It seems that he was able to scream out the flaws of his space defense just now, not crashing, but really peeking through the overall structural layout of the space barrier, thus finding this only defensive gap based on the strong and weak distribution of space forces.

This is actually a flaw in Alice's gifted space witchcraft.

The space barrier she constructed, although described as indestructible, also had enormous shortcomings. Once she wrapped herself completely in the power of space, it would be tantamount to enclosing herself in a completely separate, small space. This prevents the enemy from hurting her, but she also has difficulty attacking the enemy.

So in order to attack an enemy, she must leave a "bloom” and a "hole” on the space barrier so that her spiritual power can always be anchored in the space. To avoid being noticed, she also made a disguise with transparent wind elements.

The full-fledged transparent space barrier is equipped with a fist-sized air barrier, and it is hard to imagine that there is such a gap in this shield that any witchcraft can hardly shake without knowing where the outside enemy is.

Normal opponents simply couldn't resist Alice's weird, horrible, long-range attack to test the authenticity of the shield inch by inch, which kept her the biggest secret and put up her near-invincible title.

But today, I let her die, and at the same time I met two different sorcerers in the apprenticeship.

A senior apprentice has completely transformed himself into a worm body capable of being transformed into a myriad of forms, and the means of attack is even more bizarre and difficult, so that he can hardly be killed. Yet another stranger, obviously only a junior apprentice, is able to break his secrets in one bite, and... he seems to be able to really perceive the power of the space he inspires.

In order to capture him, Alice used her maximum power and instantly set up an invisible space jail in front of her escape route, forcibly arresting her as soon as he broke into it. But the bastard suddenly changed direction the moment before he crashed into a transparent space prison, and he escaped the ambush.

At this point, Alice has no doubt about her inference.

So the pursuit is crazier!

…………

By the time he got there, Grim was exhausted.

Due to his lack of exercise and training, his agility and physical fitness are at a very low level. Had it not been for the summoning wind element to lighten his weight, I'm afraid he would have been captured alive by that horrible little Laurie who was flying in the sky. He had the feeling that once he was caught by that guy, something terrible and horrible would definitely happen.

So even if he had escaped, he was still biting his teeth to support him.

Light Spirit's wind elements wrapped around his body, reducing his weight by more than half and traveling fast in the rotting swamp with one foot deep and shallow. Feeling his rapidly falling strength, Grimm's facial convulsion briefly recognized the orientation and finally burst into the depths of the swamp on the right.

Running away alone may be difficult to escape the pursuit of little Lori, so Grimm deliberately introduced Alice to the area where the old hag women lived.

This is a different swamp area.

Old, stinky sludge mixed with slow flowing muddy water, floating with haunted, shaved artemisia and some debris no longer visible in colour. The cloudy, filthy marshes are not stationary, but flow and meet at an extremely slow rate, stirring up some bubbles from time to time from the bottom of the water or without completely decaying branches or something.

After a short period of moaning and moaning over the misty swamp, it was like a ghost sound of a midnight dream, and I couldn't help but feel cold.

This swamp is not without roads, but the dilapidated black mud road meets the wildly flowing muddy water, not indigenous, making it difficult to find that barely accessible path from deep, shallow sludge.

In this muddy swamp, which covers almost twenty or thirty miles, there is a large and small group of haunted mothers. There are only seven or eight members of the small haunted mother-in-law community, usually living on the edge of the muddy swamp. And large groups usually have close to 100 people, occupying the largest part of the water in the central area.

As a weirdo, the haunted woman possesses only elementary intelligence and is usually transformed by humans who accidentally drown in the swamp. Don't look at them as human predecessors, but once they are induced by magical powers to become ghost wives, they will have the greatest hatred and resentment towards humankind.

They will be ambushed on the edge of the sludge swamp for many years, and as soon as a living person approaches, they will rush out, devour each other's flesh, and drag it into a deep mud pit to drown. This is how their communities continue to grow.

In appearance, the haunted woman resembles a lean, dry human woman. Most of the flesh on the body has been wiped out, the skin on the body surface has been blistered white and wrinkled against the bone, looking like a corpse. Those who mix better also have a piece of wrecked clothing that is already indistinguishable in color and texture, while most haunted women are directly naked.
