Age of Adepts

Chapter 24: Mortal Survival

As the saying goes, thieves don't leave empty!

I couldn't escape here without turning my head. I'm sorry about Simba's “hospitality”!

Grimm congeals the elements and sweeps them up in the ground like a treasure hunter.

There's very little Grimm can see in a pile of mountain-like clutter. These ghost women trapped in muddy swamps don't get a chance to scrape anything good, so don't look at the “treasures” they collect, but there's not much that's really worth it.

Seventy-eight red bead-like elegant blood sacs, a broken piece of witchcraft that was already invisible, a fist-sized, flashing metallic ore with an unusual blue flash, an unknown white stone the size of a goose egg... without saying anything, Grimm diligently stuffed them all in his lumbar sac.

These are loot items that Grimm singled out, with traces of slight element fluctuations, and Grimm abandoned all the other pieces of clutter. After all, he is still on the run, and his chances of escaping with too much stuff are much smaller.

As a haunted woman's wild lair, there is more than one pit leading to this cave. Obviously, the haunted woman leader Simba is also familiar with the logic of the cunning rabbit's three caves. Today, however, the amateur thief, Grimm, was destined to be cheap, and he briefly distinguished the position and burst into a humid tunnel far from the mud pit.

Half a mile later, in another mud pit more than a hundred meters from the center, a strange head emerged. Sticky, turbid mud slipped from his head, Grimm only revealed his eyes and nostrils, watching the distant movement silently.

Originally there were ghost mothers who should also live in this mud pool, but obviously they were also attracted by the distant battles and joined the squadron in Simba's roar, so that Grimm went into and out of the deserted land and snuck out safely and smoothly.

Fighting in the distance takes place beneath a muddy, muddy pool, where only muddy, direct bubbles of water can be seen, but the specific battle situation cannot be detected. Grimm didn't want to see that horrible little Lori again, so she had to turn around and swim to the edge of the mud.

Alice, let's leave that weird space attack to the haunted women!

But when he sneaked up to Tan's side and was about to climb ashore, not far behind him, the mud burst, a huge swampy crocodile suddenly opened his bloody mouth and bite him hard. All of a sudden, the combination of such a harsh natural environment became the best cover for the swamp crocodile, and Grimm was not given the crazy warning of the biochip until just moments before the other attack was launched.

A series of quick rolls and twists prevented Grimm from escaping the fatal bite of the swamp crocodile by millimeters. The big mouth filled with sharp fangs bite together on his waistside, and the fierce wind and rotten smell instantly stirred up Grimm's sweaty hair.

Had it not been for his chip reminder to hide quickly, this fierce swamp giant crocodile would have chewed his body off with one bite. By then, all ambitions will be flowing!

Grimm climbed to the mud bank with a solid surface while the other side shot down. Return to a quick and fierce flame arrow and hit each other in the open mouth for the second time.

The “Flame Arrow”, previously in solidification, has been completed, which allows him to successfully complete the attack.

Flames of bursting elements instantly swallowed the heads of swamp giant alligators, and fierce explosions filled the shore with broken teeth and flesh debris. The swamp giant crocodile twisted its torso wildly under the pain, and its huge body spurted a few meters of mud wave, confusing the shore.

One of the main reasons Grimm chose Flame Arrow instead of Fireball as his first remote witchcraft is that Flame Arrow has some physical attack effects in addition to its elemental attack capability. This is particularly evident when attacking some highly resistant wild monsters.

Of course, Grimm would never admit that the extraordinarily high difficulty of the fireball technique of up to 54 symbolic circuits was one of the more important reasons he chose to give up.

Grim's hatred, however, also inevitably leaked his place.

“Good boy, you're hiding here! Don't try to run...”

A sharp, crisp voice came from afar, and that terrible Alice broke out of the center mud against a space barrier and roared at Grimm from afar.

Unfortunately, the next second, a long whip woven from a swamp specialty cane winds up and dies wrapped around the clear shield outside Alice's body. Little Laurie's body was just half exposed and locked away.

Countless haunted beasts, such as the fierce, fearless beasts, continue to crash against space barriers. Their sharp claw teeth and ferocious bites could not help but lay that transparent defense, so more ghost wives simply hung on the shield and tried to use their own bodies to slaughter many of their kind of vile humans back into the mud.

At one time, like dumplings, countless haunted women swam around transparent shields, constantly stepping on their companions' bodies and pounding out the water, then crashing wildly into struggling Alice. This adds to Alice's anxiety to get rid of them.

Driven by her madness, a flesh-eyed space rift is like an extinct soldier, wandering around the shield. Any ghost woman who hits a space rift, whether it's a swept limb or a thick, sturdy body, will be silent in half, sprinkled with purple and black sticky stains.

But even so, the ghost women are still the shock of the forward and the backward, without any fear.

Simba's giant lizard climbed into the vicinity, punching its tail at the indestructible barrier outside Alice, and plunged most of her body directly into the mud. Severe vibrations spread to Alice, leaving her slightly fragile body still bleeding.

So across a wide mud pit, Alice and the haunted haunted women hung wildly together, and Grimm burst into danger from the swamp's giant crocodile.

Although the flame arrow that was fired by the emergency just now seriously damaged the gator's mouth and blurred the flesh and blood in it, this damage is not enough to kill a fierce monster with strong vitality. So the furious crocodile locked his hatred firmly on Grimm, and his huge, scaly body emerged from the mud and struck him again and again.

And a slow ray of laser radiation is what wears Grimm out of his life. Most of these goddamn swamp monsters have some earthly powers, more skinny and fleshy, teeth-tipped claws, and fighting and killing them in this shitty muddy swamp is killing people alive.

And in the powerful perception of the chip, Grimm can also see a line floating on several nearby muddy waters, showing that some underwater creatures are rushing into the battlefield covertly and clearly.

Damn it, it's in the monster's den!

Unstoppable piecemeal thoughts, Grimm slipped away from this terrible swamp giant crocodile's serial burst with chip hints.

Rather than being on the shore, he stood in a narrow and muddy mud between one mud pond and another. The soil is thin and leaves your ankle straightened. It's hard and difficult to escape the swamp crocodile in an environment like this, unless he can fly like Alice.

At this time, it was too late to regret that he had not learned the aerial flotation technique of the wind system. Grimm ran away with a deep, shallow foot, looking at the water line that had rushed to the front of him, and his heart was desolate. The witchcraft talisman in his hand has been provoked countless times, but it has no use at all.

Marsh monsters' fear of wizards is usually a big deterrent. But today's monsters have been bloodthirsty, and it's very difficult to deter them.

Woo……

evil wind.

The dirty pool splashed wildly, and two giant swampy alligators burst out simultaneously, opening enough to swallow Grimm's entire horrible mouth, biting him viciously from front to back.

Looking at the nearby stinking mouth, looking at the cold, messy fangs, looking at the deep, bottomless esophagus... the alarm sound of the chip in Grimm's head has sounded, but it is difficult to find an opportunity to escape from the current crisis.

Just as Grimm closed his eyes and waited silently to die, his body shook and flew like a cloud driving mist.

kā kā kā kā kā...

Grimm escaped from their blood-bottom mouth with a millimetre difference and flew fast against the water in their low roaring roar.

Uh... what's going on?

Grimm opened his eyes and saw the turbid water swiftly sweeping under his feet, while the sound of his wings clapping repeatedly echoed above his head.

Looking back, Grimm was surprised to find that a huge human bat was flying with him.

Yes, very hard!

A pair of fiery red bats are four or five meters apart, but their body is slightly thin. If it's flying normally on its own, of course, it's not a problem, but with a big man like Grimm, it's a little underpowered.

New swamp monster? Of course not. Grimm can sense a hint of witchcraft and a familiar smell on it. With the aid of a chip, a woman's face emerged in Grimm's mind through her familiar and unfamiliar mouth.
