Age of Adepts

Chapter 50 Squadrons

The remaining members of the mission were met when Grimm et al. walked into a rudimentary stone room on the first floor of the Wizard Tower, led by the black Kevin.

Among the 10 apprentices involved in the exploration of the Dark Grotto mission were three quasi-warresters, Leo from the Mushroom Forest of the Lofenhe Region, Sabrina (female) from the Tracy family of the Woodrow Region, and Marcus from the Black Forest College of the Sidney Region. Among them, Leo was the young witch who provoked the wounded.

Six senior apprentices are Sheila, Matthew, Leander, Mary, Isaac, and Bruce. Four men and two women, each from different geographical families, study witchcraft in very different directions, and are now gathered here for one common reason.

As for Grimm, the only junior apprentice, he was directly excluded from cold communication as if he did not exist at all. As a member of the ten-man task force, Grimm's presence will undoubtedly lower their overall strength, so for Grimm, they will have a good face!

Grimm could not explain why he appeared here, but listened in silence and turned on the chip to secretly gather their basic intelligence.

The 10 mission apprentices arrived here on three separate flights. The first ones came even two days ago. So a few days after the Wizard Tower mixed up, I was also relatively familiar with this place. It is therefore up to them to give a brief account of the specific situation of this mission point.

But as they communicated with each other, a middle-aged male wizard dressed in a white robe with a pointed hat rushed into the stone room.

“Looks like you're all here. Well, that's good, save me the second time. Why is there a junior apprentice mixed in here? All right, well, that's definitely another mistake made by that old bunch of assholes at the club. Pfft... Now that you're here, you're dead! Those claw monsters in the underground world are going to be blessed...”

It was just a creepy sneer, but obviously no one dared to refute his insane words.

“Okay, well, it looks like you're all a bunch of boring guys, not even a mess. But that's okay, save yourself the pride of giving up your life in the dark. The entire mission lasts six months, with a team of ten of you visiting the basement every fifteen days, and there are about five sites that must be inspected at a time, each located at a different location below the ground. ”

“So if you don't want anything to happen, it's best for you to stay together and follow the prescribed route to inspect these five mission points in sequence. If you move fast, you can patrol for about five days, so you can stay for five full days. And of course, you can split up, so if you move quickly, the patrol will be over in two days. But once you meet those black bastards in the ground, you're going to have to do your best.” [sic]

The middle-aged wizard finally introduced herself when, in a word, the face of ten people became difficult to see.

“My name is Angus, and you can meet me at my residence in the future. Remember, you're the only one in the ground who's in any danger, and nobody's going to save you. If you're lucky enough to kill those little black bastards, remember to get their heads back in exchange for a reward from me! ”

“ ………… ”

Faced with a silent group of wizard apprentices, the Angus wizard was not interested in explaining too much, and turned around and left.

There were no outsiders in the room, and the 10 task apprentices who had been forced to work together could only sit down again and start discussing how to accomplish the task.

Sabrina, the young witch who arrived two days earlier, became the biggest source of information for everyone, giving a more detailed account of the mission.

This is a dark haired female wizard apprentice with a half silver mask over her face covering her left face, only to look at her right face. It was strange, however, that her left eye under the mask and her exposed left hand were replaced by mechanical organs, and the rotating room bore a metallic sound peculiar to the mechanical organism.

The five mission points assigned to them by the Wizard's Tower are located on the shallow surface of the Dark Ground, just ten miles below the ground. This distance, if placed on the surface, may take less than half an hour for a few quasi-watches to complete the tour. But in the underground world, it's a long way from home.

From the hole to the last mission point, the line is ten miles away, but in the middle are rugged pits, tunnels, rift valleys and seams, with winding paths all over the ground, except for some of the roads that have been discovered that are barely safe. If you follow the proven route, you will encounter far fewer underground organisms on the road. I'm afraid if you break in, it won't look so good.

“Three days later, it's our team's first underground tour, so today we have to work out a specific plan so that we can prepare ourselves accordingly.” Sabrina concludes her statement with a sentence that also deeply frowns.

Three days?

“Don't forget, we still have a bit of a drag on this team.” The male apprentice named Isaac glanced at Grimm with dissatisfaction and was clearly upset that he had lowered the strength of the team.

“He's the one I brought, and I'm in charge of his safety!” Mary Bigeye's eyes lit brightly, staring at Isaac, and her tone was cold and hard.

“Then I propose to disperse the task and let this beautiful lady walk with her knight. This is also more efficient in carrying out our tasks and allows us more time for study breaks!” Isaac grinned.

“Are you sure you want to do this?” The Sabrina shook her head: “Don't think that'll get rid of the burden. Now that we're a team, we need to get it all together. Five missions per patrol, two failed missions halving revenue and three failed missions without revenue. If a team of two were responsible for a mission point, the time would indeed be much faster. But if a group is too weak, it may never come back. ”

“What, are you still upset about this rookie?” Isaac was obviously planning on taking the blacks to the bottom.

“Of course I won't be heartbroken. But that also tells us that in the next round, we're going to need eight people to do 10 jobs. In the next round, maybe six people will do 10 jobs. Such a little drain, even if you are strong, you will have to waste all your time underground!” Sabrina said coldly.

Apparently, she has studied this task in depth over the course of these two days and has had a detailed analysis of the covert traps inside.

Difficult!

Together, the team carried out its mission. Since the five mission locations were relatively scattered, the return journey would inevitably be unjust and time-consuming. But people are powerful, and they are not vulnerable to danger. If a squad, inevitably, dilutes the strength of the whole team, in case of bad luck, destroys one or two squads, then the remaining months will be a bit difficult!

At one point, everyone was caught in deep thought, and even Isaac, who had always dressed up as a black face, was silent.

A simple task process requires both time efficiency and balance of power. Otherwise, even if a quasi-woman thinks he is superior, he will not be able to accomplish such a cumbersome task by himself after the pit kills his own companion.

You know, it's underground. A man can't go to sleep for seven or eight days without strength. Being alone in the ground is not as easy as being on guard with a few people. So the sorcerers' associations set up this task, examining both their ability to unite and collaborate, as well as their individual combat power.

“Let's split up! We are here to sharpen ourselves, not to greed for a smooth and steady lifetime. Mary and I are a team that can take on a single task point, and I am confident that this will be done.” Grimm said calmly what everyone wanted to say most.

He said that, invisible many people sighed in a sigh of relief.

After all, in the dark and creepy underground world, even the three quasi-watches have headaches with a tug bottle that needs to be looked after everywhere.

“Okay, so settle down. Take advantage of these two days of kung fu to get ready for what you need on the way and assemble here in three days." All three prospective witches had to look at Grimm several times to reconfirm the spiritual fluctuations of his junior apprentice. That Sabrina was obviously interested in becoming the leader of the team and knocked down the final plan as soon as she had the chance.

Everyone nodded silently and split up and left the stone room.

It wasn't until there were only two of them in the room that Mary looked back with a smile: “Are you so sure I'm willing to team up with you? ”

“Hey, you want the blood, I want the nucleus, the other material counts. It would be good for both of us not to conflict with each other and to benefit each other.” Grimm reached out his right hand.

“Hmm, spoils of war, I'll pick them first!” Marie's soft little hand and Grimm held it slightly before turning away proudly from the stone room.

With only three days, she also needs to prepare something suitable for herself. This was the first time Mary had left the Magic Swamp after becoming a Wizard Apprentice, and Mary was going to make a difference here.

Grimm pretended to close his eyes when the interior was completely quiet, but was actually in rapid communication with the chip in his mind.

“Chip, did you get the data on those people? ”

“Dip, data collection has been completed. The list of data is as follows…"

As a breeze sounded, a series of data streams appeared in his mind.

Angus Wizard, Data (None)...

Sabrina, Female, Quasi-Witch, Oracle Wizard Road (Estimated), Body Data (None)...

Leo, Male, Quasi-Witch, Rule Wizard Road (in estimation), Body Data: Strength 7 Agility 6 Physique 7 Spirit 20...

Marcus, Male, Quasi-Wolf, Data (None)...

Subsequent inventories show no underlying data at all.

Grimm sighed silently and seemed to have not experienced a real battle, making it difficult to ascertain the exact strength of these team members.
