Age of Adepts

Chapter 59 Mission Reward

Mission rewards are awarded directly linked to the difficulty of the mission you are handing over.

Marie and Grimm had the lowest risk of accomplishing the task together, and therefore received considerably fewer rewards than the rest. However, they still have the heads of an enemy camp, and the special rewards they receive continue to make them laugh.

Just returning to their homes, Grimm was about to go back to her room and take a good rest, and Mary called him and threw him something.

This is an egg-sized native nucleus. Yellow-brown crystals haunt a circle of earth-yellow halos, and the thin, brief fluorescence escapes from the nucleus, holding it in your hands like a bright star!

Grim couldn't help but hold his breath.

Through the fluctuating elemental rhythm of the wave, he was able to distinguish very clearly, a stratified native crystal core that reached the quasi-woman level.

“You deserve it. I drained the blood of that enemy, so this is your reward for all your hard work!” As usual, Mary spilled, turning to her residence.

Grimm was surprised and hesitated and finally took the gift and entered the room.

When it's time to make sure everything around you is complete, Grimm checks herself out, silently communicates with the chip.

“Chip, can you digitize Marie's body data? ”

“Di, the data collection has been completed… Detailed data are as follows…”

Mary, Old Bloodsucking Fae, Advanced Wizard Apprentice, Power 9 Agility 17 Physique 13 Spirit 18, Talent Ability: Blood Sucking Regeneration, Manta Demon Transformation, Natural Enchantment (Forming).

Uh... is a powerful racial gift that can evolve by simply sucking blood. I really don't know what kind of witchcraft experiments that the Anderson wizard in the swamp tower was able to create such a terrible puppet of witchcraft.

If Grimm had guessed correctly, the Anderson wizard must have left some control over Mary, and it was rooted directly in Mary's vampire lineage. Don't look now. Anderson's more indulgent with Mary, leaving her free to come and go without interference. But once Mary has grown to the point he wants, I'm afraid it's time for him to come forward and harvest.

What is Mary's growth limit? Quasi-witch or official wizard? Is Anderson going to use this method to harvest a witchcraft puppet at the witch level?

You know, Marie has the ability to make blood slaves only if she advances as a quasi-witch. When Anderson needs it, Mary alone can pull up a loyal blood slave army. This is also a good adversary for a first-order wizard!

Marie may also be aware of her condition, so she always smells indulgent every time she moves. Do what you will, do what you will, and don't want to suppress your nature at all. Perhaps even she herself could not distinguish precisely between what was in her own heart and what was the will of the Anderson wizard to be rooted in her soul by witchcraft.

So even though Grimm and Mary have been getting along quite naturally in the recent past, a little vigilance remains in his heart, because he doesn't know when that timing lead in Mary will be detonated.

But these are some of the "little problems” that can be solved slowly. After all, as long as Grimm succeeds in promoting the official wizard, the Anderson wizard will no longer be a climbing figure. Perhaps Marie's problem could be solved by an exchange of interests or some other means.

Grimm sat at the wooden table of his temporary residence and sorted out all his trophies for this underground trip.

Thorn armor bracelets and storage belts captured from Anna are, of course, kept for their own use, and the earrings that absorb grass and semen can be hung out for sale in exchange for magic gear that is more suitable for them. After scanning that witchcraft note, it loses its value, and you can definitely hang out to see if anyone is interested in it.

That emerald wooden stick and magic silver seemed to be the material Anna had prepared for her future wand. Unfortunately, the material is not ready yet, so it can only be carried around secretly, who thought it would be cheaper for Grimm.

The green stick was identified by the Angus Wizard as a branch from the Wizard Grade Tree, with a considerable increase in botanical witchcraft. The magical silver is a product of the authentic underground world, which is difficult to obtain from the outside world. Like the size of this finger Grimm gets, it's easy to sell thousands of crystals. And it's hard to buy parts for the same price if you sell them well.

After all, magic silver is a high-end consumable, and anyone who bothers to get it will soon empty it. So it's usually priceless.

So if Grimm intends to build his first wand, the magic silver doesn't need to be prepared, but I'm afraid the material used to make the wand will need to be replaced. After all, the Grimm element affects the fire line, not the plant line.

As for the last wooden statue, it was identified by the Angus Wizard as a spiritual beacon for communicating with alien creatures. According to the Angus Wizard, the corrupt apprentice they killed was apparently able to establish a strong connection with a powerful alien creature through the Ceeling Summoning Ceremony, where the two sides exchanged items of their own need from time to time.

However, Angus witches have expressed serious disdain for this.

The world of witches is itself a large and visible place, dominating tens of thousands of small and medium-sized sides of the subjugation. Virtually any resources are available through the internal trading system, and there is no need for this silly and backward calling model to communicate. Because of the different situational laws of each other, coupled with severe stellar ocean energy tidal disturbances, the resources needed to successfully conduct a remote material exchange are often three to five times higher than normal exchanges.

So if it weren't for the extremely scarce resources, no one would have used such a primitive and obscure exchange. And the reason that the female apprentice retains this heterogeneous communication marker is most likely just to exchange knowledge with the heterogeneous.

And that's exactly what the whole sorcerer system is strictly forbidden!

Also, and more importantly, if a local wizard in a wizarding world does this betrayal of the will of the wizarding world, it invisibly diminishes or diminishes the feedback he receives from the will of the world. And it's a lot harder than most people to make progress in the wizarding world.

So very few of these unpaid things are done by orthodox wizards. Probably only corrupt wizards, who are excluded from the wizard system, do this thirst quenching behavior.

As a beginner Grimm apprentice, he has never had a clear and intuitive contact with the so-called world will, and therefore has a great curiosity about the world will that Angus witches have spoken in awe of and admired. Although he does not currently have a specific witchcraft experiment plan, he has chosen to retain the wooden statue.

Perhaps until his abilities have improved a little enough to manage his own life, he can exchange some interesting content with these powerful exotic beings.

As for this accidentally acquired quasi-wolf grade earth crystal nucleus, Grimm did not dare to rush it, but instructed the chip to scan it completely and then carry out a tailor-made demon puppet transformation plan.

After doing all this, Grimm pulled out another book of witchcraft, started everyday study and worked with the chip to complete some simulations of the spiritual world. When he was almost out of his mind, he lay still in bed and began to meditate deeply on what was essential every day.

Now with the chip, he's able to go into deep meditation every time, and every meditation brings him a spiritual increase of around 0.08 points and 4 points of professional experience. This increase is the most important means for witches to raise their spiritual capacity ceilings. While there are many wizards who choose to take witchcraft or wonders uninterruptedly to improve their spirituality, the enormous costs involved are simply not borne by ordinary apprentices without family support.

The most effective spiritual enhancement witch potion for the next stage of the advanced apprenticeship is condensate, and the open sale price in the Wizard Tower Pharmaceutical Hall is 5 Contribution Points 5 Magic Crystals per bottle. The mental increase that a bottle of coagulant can bring to an apprentice at the lower and middle levels is 0.5—0.7. This number doesn't sound high, but it's a rare treasure for ordinary wizard apprentices.

You know, Grimm doesn't have to be able to go into deep meditation once in ten times before he gets the chip aid. The spiritual increase that shallow meditation can bring to Grimm is only 0.01—0.02, which is quite a difference from deep meditation.

So seriously, a bottle of coagulant will save at least two months of hard meditation for a sorcerer apprentice. Such a horizontal contrast, even if the price of condensate is high, is still bitterly sought after by many sorcerer apprentices.

Buying a lot of witchcraft resources here requires a contribution point, which is completely different from the knowledge point that Grimm acquired at the Marsh Tower. Knowledge points are simply the value systems that Anderson wizards use by virtue of their authority in marshy towers and are simply not accessible to the outside world. The point of contribution, on the other hand, is the value system introduced by the Scattered Tallinn Wizards Association throughout the Wizards' Continent, which can be used in all Wizards' Association locations.

As for the other three wizard organizations, they each have their own independent value systems, which are distinct from each other and difficult to compatible with.

Grimm worked hard on an underground tour and was rewarded with 5 points in addition to resources to buy a bottle of coagulant.

By the end of daily meditation, it was already midnight in the Wizard Tower. After testing his meditation results, Grimm was exhausted, which set him free and into his deepest sleep.
