Age of Adepts

Chapter 126: Volcano World

Volcano melting holes here are even more dangerous and terrible than the underground world of dark underground holes.

The lava tunnels here are both cracks and lava flowing pipes propped up in sturdy mountains after intense geological activity, with great uncertainty.

Perhaps when you're walking in some reddish tunnel, you're burned to the bone by a flaming airflow that suddenly blows out of the side wall crevices. It can also be a step in the wrong direction, falling into a deep, bottomless rift valley into a lava pit that eats away bones.

Although volcanoes have gradually reached a temporary standstill, intense geological activity persists in some parts of the country. If the bursting formation sinks right next to you, you are most likely squeezed into meatcake sauce by suddenly closed caves or misplaced rock formations.

So the more you walk here, the more you pay attention to the stability of the formation around you.

Absolute safety does not exist and every apprentice must be cautious in order to avoid being caught up in sudden geological changes.

Hazards arise not only from volcanic geological variations, but also from xenobiotics living in the area. Fire Spirits, Lava Dogs, Lava Monsters, Fire Lizards, Flaming Kids, Flaming Guards... There are only dozens of flaming creatures with names, and the rest of the unknown Fae are even more difficult to count.

These fire-dependent, fire-feeding flame creatures make this volcano their home, creating a unique food chain in this melting world. Nature at the top of the food chain is a terrible melting giant. They are like a bunch of flaming giants with great intelligence, with an element of terror that is not weaker than that of a human witch.

It is unfortunate that their lives are too dependent on the environment to leave the volcanic world and their power will continue to decline. So all the melting giants live in the deepest depths of underground volcanoes, hard to see on the outside. It can be said that the ability to apprentice witches is not enough to enter areas as deep as the volcanic world, so there is no way to interact with them.

And in the volcanic world, the bottom layer of the food chain is probably one of those nasty flame kids. They are similar in appearance to a sperm, except that the skin turns red. Nor do they have flesh, but they are the product of a combination of a flame of origin and certain broken consciousness.

They chirp through lava passages, searching everywhere for fire element-intensive areas. They will also spontaneously attack any outsider entering the region, and they will attack in a way that is as simple as a flame arrow. Once they find they can't beat their opponents, they jump into a lava pool or hot flame stream and instantly run elsewhere.

Once the treasure hunter releases a fiery little boy, his surroundings will be submerged by a crowd of fiery little boys in less than three moments.

But these flaming kids are poor and poignant. You can only harvest a pile of ash from the volcano, and there can be no other loot. This is far less expensive than the Fire Spirit. Although the Fire Spirit is also the bottom of the food chain in the volcanic world, it eliminates them and at least gets some broken nucleus of elements, much stronger than the flaming kid's nothing.

The Flaming Kid possesses flame arrows and flame transport and, if placed on the outside, is a difficult elemental creature. But in this pervasive world of fire resistance to perverse volcanoes, their weird abilities are largely ineffective for other flame creatures.

This is the root cause of their falling into the bottom of the food chain!

Instead of choosing to walk with others, Grimm took the liberty of drilling into a lava passage and traveled quickly, tilting down. There have never been straight roads or regular routes, all because the terrain is haunting and there are many forks.

The volcanic world is like a supermassive hive, with rugged roads and connected passage caves one after another. Walking inside, without a way to identify paths, can easily fall into maze arrays until food and drinking water run out and live and die.

But Grimm certainly does not have that problem. Even as he deepened deeper into the volcanic world, his entire body and mind became active and agitated, excited by the intensity of the fire-element particles here. Even without the protection of the elements here, the redness that haunts him cannot harm him, but can provide him with considerable benefits.

However, for ceremonial reasons, he could not fail to maintain a high temperature force field to keep his clothes from being ignited by the high temperatures here. After all, he is a human being, but there is no habit of flaming creatures!

Without maps and without maps, Grimm did not hesitate at all in front of a hundred or ten forks, marching all the way to the depths of the ground. And what guides him is the concentration of fire particles in the air! He's not here to hunt for treasure, he's here to “bathe," so the more intense the fire-element particles, the more he goes.

The rough, curved road could deceive him, but the fire-element particles floating in the corridor would not deceive him, so he came to a small lava pool with little bias.

It's not as deep as the volcanic world, it's just a natural depression. So when most of the molten lava retreats back to the ground, a small fraction of the lava is trapped here, clustered into a small lava fire pool.

And at this moment, a group of fiery kids and a lava dog are gathering here, loaded with floats in a lava pool, pouring their bodies with hot lava.

Among these monsters, lava dogs are clearly higher and occupy nearly half the space themselves. The rest of the Flaming Kids can only squeeze in the other half and never dare approach the Lava Dog for half a step.

Seeing humans suddenly drilled out of a corridor, the more territorial lava dogs first jumped out of the lava pool, blocked Grimm's path, leaned slightly, opened the flaming mouth of the flame, and made a frightening low roar.

Is this Lava Dog?

Grimm stopped and bluished in her black eyes, scanning the interior of the strange creature in front of her.

This is a flaming creature the size of a previous Earth tiger, whose body is mostly poured out of semi-molded, hot lava, and whose surface is surrounded by temperature-burning flames. As the lava dog opened its mouth to frighten Grimway, the hot magma flowing from between the fangs even eroded a small hole in the floor in front of it.

This suggests that the magma in its body is already scarier than the magma of nature, and that the fire elements immersed therein are more aggressive.

A moment later, the biometric information scanned by the chip was projected into Grimm's mind.

Lava Dog, a half-element creature unique to the underground volcano world, Strength Level: Intermediate Apprentice, Body Data: Strength 9 Agility 13 Physique 10 Spirit 8, Personal Ability: Rapid Running, Flame Jumping, Flame Spraying, Violent Tearing.

Some of this biological information was partially analyzed by scanning the body structure of lava dogs, while others were supplemented by book information. As soon as the two pieces of information have merged, all its secrets are presented in full to Grimm.

Such a lava dog, although the chip is marked with intermediate apprenticeship strength, in this particular environment, it is difficult for the average intermediate apprentice to handle it.

While Grimm was quickly analyzing all the secrets of the lava dog in front of him, his silence had completely provoked each other.

A powerful lava rear paw slammed on the floor, and the magnificent body of the lava dog swept over it and heavily impacted Grimm's temporarily open fire shield.

loud, dull sounds.

The lava dog rubbed the flame shield to Grimm's side, and the heavily orthodontic body just twisted and redirected, again pouring toward it. At this time, the four profound claw marks on the flame shield have not been completely eliminated.

The Lava Dog hit the Flame Shield again!

This time the flame shield can no longer withstand the fiery claw attack, nor can it withstand the impact of the heavy body of the lava dog, bursting into flame debris in the sky.

With the swing of the Flame Lord scepter in Grimm's hand, a new Flame Shield projectile emerged, bouncing back out the lava dog that had taken advantage of the momentum.

Grimm frowned, and it seems that the primary flame shield has become difficult to adapt to the intensity of the battle. Even a regular lava dog can break it in two rounds, so you can imagine that when you encounter a stronger flame creature, the flame shield is not much stronger than a soap bubble.

The Flame Shield is an upgraded and improved version of the Flame Shield, which is more than five or six times stronger in protection. Grimm stood still, letting the lava dog attack his hands and feet, and it took almost ten rounds to drain the fiery shield to the brink of collapse.

After correcting some of the necessary parameters through the battle, Grimm had no intention of “playing” with the Lava Dog. With the throw of an elemental crystal core, a giant rock python, which occupies almost half the space of this melting hole, drilled out of the ground.

Seeing this sudden invader, the Lava Dog still struggled to defend its homeland. Unfortunately, its self-righteous assault was a farce in front of a rock python that had a huge advantage in shape. Without waiting for it to rip off a few rocks from the python, he was bitten by the other side and slammed several times on the top wall of the floor of the melting hole, and the lava dog split apart.

After the body of the lava dog collapsed, Grimm pinched a still burning stone from scattered lava debris. This is the only thing in the lava dog that's a little valuable!

Grimm stayed in place and started working on the flint, while the summoned python swept towards the rest of the fiery kid.

pū pū pū...

Continuous fire and arrow rainfall fell on the head of a python gray rock snake, leaving only an egg-sized shallow pit. Such damage does not even count as tickling for a rock-borne python. It swims up close, big mouth rips, long tail swings, body crushes, eliminates half of the fiery kids in no time.

The rest of the kids didn't look good. One by one, they jumped into the flames of the lava pool and vanished instantly. The whole underground melting hole is finally calm!
