Age of Adepts

Chapter 249: The End of the Dynasty

Thirteen days later, Sorcerer Camp.

The last time I left, the camp was still a terrible sight after a bloody battle.

The terrible jungle fires torched nearly 70 miles of mountain forests in the south of Greenland Forest, and dust rising after the burning of tree plants covered the sun, even Blue Hill City for three days of dark snow!

On this dark smoky scorched land, you can see the remains lying upside down.

In some of the core areas of the fire, the remains of the warriors and hunter knights were burned into coke, leaving only a clump of blurred traces on the dark land. Only in the marginal areas of the battlefield, brushing over the thick grass and wood ash, will it be possible to discover some strange matter formed by the melting of bones and metal armor together.

To be honest, the last time the Glorious Knights of the War blew the trumpet of retreat, there were still nearly a thousand remaining Hound Knights. But losing the step-by-step demon, losing the hope of victory, exhausting their strength, and breaking their minds on two legs alone, it is impossible to outrun the wildly spreading forest fire.

So seriously, there are only a handful of demon hunters who could have survived the last war. This is also the main reason for the delay in obtaining up-to-date information on the front line in the Knights Kingdom.

Of course, the downfall of Count Winrill, Lord of Blue Hill, also played a crucial role in this!

As the first indigenous force to rely on the Sarubo clan, the Earl of Winrill was immediately rewarded with great prizes by the Lord Wizard. According to the nobles who participated in the ritual of attachment of Count Weanlil, the chosen wizards were a group of wise men and wise men who possessed vast knowledge and the supreme truth of the world.

A friendly powerful wizard even personally raised his veins for Count Weanlir, turning him from an ordinary human being to a noble and everlasting species. From now on, he will be free from old and sick death and no longer have to worry about the threat of death!

Thus, when Count Weanlil was “baptized”, he could fly freely in the sky with his own strength. Those fearful aristocrats immediately overthrew the flag and the wind turned to praise the great and noble wizards.

And the kingdom of the knights to whom the nobles were loyal, in their mouths, soon became a puppet regime that knew nothing but to follow the dragons and beg their tails, cruelly squeezing the people.

And these propaganda and the dragon disaster that has ravaged human cities in the recent past prove each other, and are rapidly spreading among the people of the Knights' continent.

One time, "Welcome the Wizard, Expel the Dragon” became the loudest noise in the lower realm of the Knight's Continent!

When Grimm returned all the way from the Knight Kingdom controlled area to the southern Greenland Forest, what he saw and heard along the way had surprised him immensely.

Originally, he thought that the wizard's facade would only come hard, and that the great wizard of Salubo would never care about these humble, dusty, tiny people. But now it seems that even powerful wizards are fully aware of the power of the people.

Seduce the people, guide them, then pull the bottom people to your side!

This is the fastest way to eliminate the resistance in a short period of time.

Otherwise, even if the knight kingdom were to be wiped out by thunderous means, there would always be some stubborn forces who missed the old dynasty hiding in the dark and constantly provoking popular resistance. In the event of a prolonged period of instability, the interests usurped by the Sarubo family from that position would inevitably be lost.

So on this journey, Grimm had to admire what had happened to the Aboriginal people.

Fighting those who absorb power is the easiest way to usurp the best interests in a short time! Attracting the middle classes and seducing the lower classes is a necessary means of eliminating the soil for the survival of the resistance!

As can be seen from the use of these means, the Sarubo wizards do have a profound insight into their position of control.

According to the current situation, Grimm can even make bold assumptions. As long as the Wizard Camp sends some well-formed wizards to show some nominal "miracles”, it is easy to fight against the people's hearts and minds. By then, the dragon will be expelled smoothly in the eyes of all, so that this position truly falls into the hands of the Salupo Wizard family!

Did Lord Salupo set the tone of the war when he spoke to the Green Dragon chief for a while? Otherwise, from what angle, the dragons are acting like they're doing a "show” with the wizards!

Anyway, this position can no longer belong to them. Take another fortune while you finally leave, which is also a compensation for the dragons! This behavior, in turn, offers the new ruler, the Wizard, an opportunity to gather the hearts and minds of the people.

As a Grimm 1st Wizard, it is certainly impossible to have access to such family core secrets, and he only makes preliminary assessments and speculations through what he sees and hears along the way. The chip came up with this inference, though somewhat shady and vicious, but Grimm was convinced of it.

This, perhaps, is because he is also a true wizard now!

The new Sorcerer Camp is no longer a camp, but more like a rapidly emerging city.

The nearby mountain forests have been burned down, which is fine, but it also saves the wizards the trouble of cutting down.

When Grimm returned, civil engineering was thriving here. A small stone tower was uprooted, a mountain was massively transformed, and the herds of witches, under the command of the wizard, pushed down debris, leveled the land, and cleaned up the site... so busy that it was impossible to turn over.

Of course, all the former witches were destroyed in the last war, and this new batch of witches was apparently just made out, somewhat like a half-man. Beastly lower limbs with thick black hair and scaly armor, stubborn body size and scary toenails, how do you think they look like demons? On top of the beast, there is a huge human trunk that can speak and use weapons and tools flexibly.

Isn't that the big chop where the chimp's lower body fits together with the top half of the Hound Knights?

And they also have a nice name, Rune Knight!

Yes, these beasts will all be armed with the most elementary runes in the future, and a powerful force that the wizards have nurtured in the world.

Witches are unlikely to be in this position for long periods of time in the future, so most topical matters still need to be handed over to local indigenous dignitaries, who simply need to hand over the resources and wealth they need on time.

Treating the puppets cultivated by these wizards is expensive, to the advantage of temptation on the one hand and, of course, to the strength of the town on the other.

The Ruwen Knights are the most powerful secular armies left behind by the Sarubo Clan to guard the Wizard's reign!

Lord Sarubo is still in Grimm, who was received in the War Witch Tower.

Since the construction of the War Witch Tower, this figure projection is no different from Lord Sarubo's identity. In close proximity, Grimm can barely detect that this is not a real person, but just a projection of consciousness!

And the first thing we do after we meet is, of course, deliver the mission items.

Lord Salubo sent Grimm to the Knight King's capital, with only two tasks, one to kill Edward VII, the ruler of the Knight's Kingdom, and one to retrieve complete knowledge of the script.

Both grimes were successfully completed.

The head of Edward VII was handed over and a complete set of symbolic drawings and knowledge scrolls were handed over, and the Sarubo nodded with satisfaction after a brief review.

Of course, on the way back, Grimm had already scanned all the documents, drawings and scrolls of data and knowledge into the chip, and was willing to hand them over.

Lord Sarubo picked up the ugly head that had been handled by witchcraft and threw it at his fingertips, falling into a strange witchcraft line projected from the floor.

The Witch Array is suspended in a void a metre from the ground, and the entire Witch Array consists of a combination of three layers of fluorescent wizard rings and countless strange symbols enclosed therein. And the human head fell in the load and floated, and under a glorious optical circle analysis of witchcraft, it seemed that a little dark blood power was extracted and floated above the human head.

And when the power of this bloodline was extracted, Salubo the Great Wizard, who had been sitting with his eyes closed, gently paddled his fingers and congealed a powerful spell into the Witch Formation.

With the slight tremor of the War Witch Tower, the enormous amount of energy that frightens Grimm darkly flows through the defense system into this illusory formation.

The power of that bloodline is like a red swimming wire, floating slowly above the Witch Formation.

For a moment, Grimm seemed to see dense numbness and nearly a thousand strange faces in the swimming red wire through a hazy fiction. or older, or younger, or younger… they are all implicitly associated with the power of this bloodline, even though they are of different ages and expressions.

When Grimm saw this scene, a powerful and strange name for witchcraft instantly appeared in his mind.

Bloodline Curse!

It is a powerful, supreme witchcraft and the most vicious curse.

That Edward VII is undoubtedly the knight's supreme ruler of the Edward family, taking him as the source of the bloodline, the descendants and descendants of which can hardly be counted. If you count the many illegitimate sons left outside the royal bloodline, I'm afraid the wizards want to knock out the Edwards' bloodline, it's a very difficult thing!

But now with the blood curse, it's completely different.

With Edward VII, the source of the bloodline in hand, combined with the personal manipulation of the Great Wizard, and the power supply of the War Witch Tower. So, Grimm's heartbreaking gaze, the spell that the great wizard had just typed was led by the power of blood, and it was not born into the void and disappeared.

And in Grim's acute perception, it seems that at the moment when the spell disappears, some of the laws of this position are deeply touched!

Somehow, Grim's heart has risen!

I'm afraid all lives with Edward's royal blood are at the end of their lives at this moment!

If not, it's like there's an invisible needle poking through an illusory blister. The illusory faces that depend on the power of the silk bloodline burst into abject and painful wails, and then disappear one after the other.

And the disappearance of every human face means the disappearance of a life from afar!

Grim swallowed his saliva with difficulty.

Although he is also a wizard, and although he is also bloody, Grimm still feels trembling in the face of this game-like means of killing and exterminating people.

The Edward dynasty is over!
