Age of Adepts

Chapter 268: Motta City

Four days later.

Grim made it to Motta City.

Mota City, the only public city within 500 miles of each other, does not belong to any family of witches or organizational forces, but rather to the public areas delineated by the Association of Wizards of Ladhitalin.

Before entering the city, Grimm had seen the tower of public witches soaring in the clouds and plunging directly into the sky.

The faint fluorescence gleams on the gray tower walls, with a circle of witchcraft gleaming from time to time somewhere in the tower, then rapidly passing to the tip of the tower above the cloud. Despite the cloud barrier, Grimm still sees some black dots circling up and down at the tall tower tip.

The unexpected convoy gathered near the gates of the city, under the command of a group of Black Armor Guards, and released in an orderly manner. Among the crowd are men and women, old and young, and the noise of noise boils down to the sky.

And next to a row of loaded carriages, Grimm's black quadricycles looked blind. However, when the black armored guard guarding the gate saw it, under the command of a leader, he rushed to clear the blockade and let the black carriage slowly enter the gate.

For no reason, the Sarubo family badge on the side of the black carriage is the best laissez-passer.

No one has dared to impersonate the honorable Lord of Witches in this vast land of the Wizard Continent. Because once such a vicious act is discovered, death is already the minimum punishment that the impostor can envisage!

This is a magnificent and beautiful city of wizards!

The streets are packed with rivers, a heavy wagon slowly passes on a green stone road, stacked with a wide array of goods, but most of them are tobacco, alcohol, tea and other luxury items.

Grimm picked out the curtains and watched people with different skin tones and clothes quickly paddle past the windows, with a hint of strangeness in his heart.

People living on the Wizard continent have become accustomed to identifying in their own way who can and cannot be provoked. Grimm's carriage, though blind in appearance, changed the colour of the eye-catching family of wizards badge on the corner of the carriage.

The crowd flashed away from the carriage, and no one dared to block the fast movement of the black carriage.

“You and Kabby go settle in and book a floating boat cabin, and I'll pay a visit to the Wizard Tower!” After a brief explanation, Grimm jumped out of the carriage, pulled up a black hood to cover his face and slowly slipped into the crowd.

The first thing you do everywhere is visit your local wizard organization, which is actually the tradition and habit of most wizards! After all, some of the witchcraft facilities, including public libraries, are open to the outside world on a selective basis by witchcraft organizations in all regions.

And habitual knowledge gathering is one of the most common things witches do!

Alice hasn't been able to see the Wizard War for herself since the last time she was captivated. Looking at Grimm, who disappeared in the crowd, she held on to her mumps and said, “Go to the floating boat first! ”

Goblin Kabi's camouflaged driver drank loudly, waving his horse whip to drive the carriage forward.

As one of the rare public areas in the scattering Tallinn region, there is no refusal to allow any witches to visit. Even some sorcerers who fail in family struggles or power struggles can rest and rest here and gain access to some less rare sorcerer resources.

Some wizards who aspire to develop a new family do not have their own territory at the beginning, and often use the public wizard tower as the first stepping stone for family development. Build some open witch colleges here to recruit witch apprentices with no backstage or background.

With this approach, perhaps less than a hundred years later, a small force with several wizards and dozens of wizard apprentices was built. So what they need to do next is try to survive the cracks between the many wizard families and organizational forces and develop their territory a little bit.

Any mature plot of land in the dispersion Tallinn region has essentially been occupied by large and small families and forces. Trying to grab a piece of breadcrumb from their mouths depends only on war and strength!

If they succeed, they will be part of nearly a thousand wizard families in the dispersion Tallinn region. If they fail, they can only return to the public areas, continue to run their own small organizations or forces, and build strength for the next impact on the Wizard family!

In previous family wars, small organizations like the Black Hand Association were so enthusiastic that they were not only able to acquire their own territory, but also to set up their own wizard family under the banner!

Unfortunately, the strongest of the first-degree wizards in the organization were killed, and the double-sided wizards they hired at great cost failed. It also heralds that the efforts of the Mafia have been water-breaking for almost a hundred years. The second-degree green dwarf, Pairo, who wants to form the Pairo family, can only drag on for a hundred years!

Level 2 Sorcerer!

Already a big man in the wizard community!

If such a guy is willing to join any family of wizards, he will become the center of the welcome with his hands raised, and all kinds of rare resources are more readily available.

But even such a powerful wizard would have difficulty resisting any existing small wizard family attack if he wanted to form his own family.

Grimm was able to buy a hundred and ten square kilometres of Viscount Leader in the scattering Tallinn region by virtue of the advantages he had gained from the knighthood. But then what? All around him is a family of tigers and hungry wizards, and even if he bought such a territory, what could he do to protect it?

Perhaps the first to send troops to attack his territory was the family of wizards who sold it to him!

Resource and territory are indeed important on the Wizard continent, protecting resources and territorial power, but more important than the first two!

The Grim Mix is slowly advancing towards the Wizard Tower in the crowd.

There are fewer and fewer ordinary people in the streets, while more and more apprentices are wearing a variety of college clothing.

Of these apprentices, there are neither middle-aged people aged 30 to 40, nor young men and women aged 20 years or so, who look old and look pale. Their strength is also dominated by junior and secondary apprenticeships, with few senior apprentices, and not a single prospective witch.

This is actually normal!

After all, where public colleges push, they recruit qualified and talented apprentices who are already weaker than families of wizards with fixed territories and resource points. Lack of resources, coupled with low apprenticeship qualifications, creates this overall low level of apprenticeship strength.

Besides, if every sorcerer's college had cultivated quasi-watches, they would all be in the palm of their hands as treasures, and wouldn't want to let them run around.

Grimm was dressed in a black robe, and although he did not wear any emblems on his chest, the pride and mystery that characterized the wizard still made every apprentice who saw him rush to his side to bow down to salute him.

None of the apprentices who can hang out in Mota City are rookies. They may not be able to do anything else, but they are absolutely first-rate.

Grimm, albeit low-key enough, stepped forward, and the black robe revealed the corners of the Wizard's robe, filled with mysterious and mysterious magic lines and runes. A fine silver chain tied the voodoo scroll between Grimm's waist. As he progressed, the voodoo book gleamed slightly with golden spell fluorescence, and at first glance it was nothing.

Two long strands of dark red hair draped from both sides of the hood, like two slightly jumping flames in the light of the sun. And deep in the shadow of a hood, the line's well-defined cold face and bright, star-like eyes are all extremely impressive.

…………

Grim Xin walked into the Mage Tower Gate.

A dozen sorcerer apprentices waiting by the gate saw Grimm and immediately glanced. But before they could act, a short-haired round-faced apprentice had stood in front of Grimm and bowed down to salute him.

“Dear Wizard, Apprentice Thor is at your service! ”

The rest of the disciples revealed their defiled divinity. But they didn't dare to build it again in front of a wizard. They could only stare at that Tor and quickly dissipate.

Grimm didn't mind the apprenticeship tricks, but he raised his head and looked around.

Clean marble floors, fresh air filled with intense witchcraft, a small stone room arranged next to the walls of the tower, and wide access to tunnels and corridors…

It's quite quiet, though the head is buoyant.

All the apprentices walked in groups with a thick sheepskin in their arms. Even when they need to talk, most of them keep their voices down and do not dare to make indiscriminate noises in the Hall of Secrets.

The initial impression of purpose is somewhat similar to the atmosphere of the university campus on Earth in previous life.

“Take me to the public library here, I want to go through some information!” Grimm commanded.

“Yes! The library for visiting Master Wizard is on the 5th floor, please come with me!” Apprentice Thor is obviously already familiar with such a request, courteous courtesy, and walks with Grimm towards the floating disk at the corner of the Hall of Secrets.

The so-called floating discs are some kind of earth-like lifting platforms, except that they use neither mechanical power nor electricity. A five-meter circular floating disk can hold twenty or thirty people standing on it, but Grimm sees it, and none of the wizard apprentices dare to step on it.

This seems to be the exclusive prerogative of the wizards!

The control center above the floating disc is manipulated, and a round, beautifully patterned, thick slate of fingers begins to float slowly towards the upper level of the Wizard Tower. Wizard apprentices walking around with books can be seen everywhere on the corridor passing along the way.

Wizard Tower 5th floor.

Apprentice Thor stopped before sending Grimm to a luminous door.

“My lord, this is a wizard library open to the outside world. Only wizards are allowed in here, so..."

“Mmm!” Grim nodded with a clear nod and threw three magic crystals into his arms.

“My lord, you don't need so much!” Thor has a surprise look on his face: “Just one magic crystal is enough! ”

“I also have two servants. A witch named Alice might come to me later. Bring her here! ”

“Understood, my lord! Thor must accomplish the task.” Thor promised.

Grimm smiled softly and stepped into the light door.
