Age of Adepts

Chapter 279: Sigma City

After flying more than 70 kilometres further, they finally arrived in Sigma City, the first city under the rule of the Silver Alliance.

The magnificence and liveliness of Sigma City, the only two transcontinental access points in the Silver Union region, is also remarkable. Here, even wizards from the top families in the middle of the continent can only converge their arrogance and have a careful and detailed understanding of the rules and regulations within the Silver Alliance.

Grimm also gained a preliminary understanding through exchanges along the way.

On the west coast of the mainland, in the Silver Union area, the first thing you can't provoke is the Alliance Wizard in the Silver Robe.

Of course, if you are confident that you will secretly kill a silver magician without being perceived by the outside world, then take it personally. But along the way, Grimm saw most of those small guard towers and a mysterious configuration that rolled round the sky.

They all seem to be part of a vast alert system.

The silent desire to kill a silver wizard in such a region is simply delusional.

As long as the other party finds out anything, and assisted by prophetic and retrospective witchcraft, the murderer is hidden and the better will be pulled out!

So to survive here without clashing with any silver robe is the only way to protect yourself.

The second thing that can't be provoked is the Oui Wizard, even if he looks down again, even if he falls down again.

The entire Silver Coalition is an organization that brings together a bunch of Oui sorcerers. Silver robe wizards usually exist as alliance law-enforcers, while Oui wizards are the vast and solid foundation of the alliance. So in the Silver Alliance region, Oui wizards have an unparalleled superiority and have clearly formed a hierarchical repression against other branches of wizards.

Fortunately, however, the silver league is not so stupid and short-sighted at the top. Though in disputes between wizards, they are clearly biased in favour of the Oui wizards, they still give full respect and courtesy to the good wizards of other branches.

Floating warships reach Sigma City even if they reach the end of the line.

Domestic passage is more dependent on small craft, whereas floating warships are used purely to pass through barbaric areas.

After disembarking, everyone treasured each other and broke apart.

Everyone travels to the western coast of the mainland for different reasons. Although Sky City is a must, it takes 20 days to reach Sky City from Sigma City by boat. So it's the most appropriate way to spread out and do things differently.

In Sigma City, the Byrons also have a stopover here. Located in the western part of the city, however, a few people can only cross a small half of the city if they want to.

Grimm noticed that the Angus Wizard was in a bit of a state of urgency and seemed to want to get to the stop early for the latest information. For the first time, however, Grimm has come to a dominant area of great wizard power and would like to take a moment to grasp the terroir here.

The two discussed briefly. The Angus Wizard left a meeting point, which led to the hasty departure of several family members.

So Grimm quickly left him, Alice, and Kabi alone in the line.

This is a completely different city.

There are no towering walls, no wooded guard towers, just a clean street and a tall, sturdy marble building. Wizard apprentices in grey robes and powerful mercenaries and adventurers with swords on their backs can be seen everywhere on the street.

However, there are more carriages, carriages carrying large volumes of cargo, and more pedestrians are businessmen, samurai, vagabonds and urban dwellers.

Due to the climate, most of the residents' clothing is made of thin cloth. The colors chosen are also striking: white, red, blue, orange, yellow, and so on. Humans often look relaxed and happy in long-sleeved bundled waist coats, loose pants and leather boots, without the dull and repressed numbness of other places.

Five miles apart, you can also see some official wizards walking through the streets with a supermassive stone giant or iron demon statue. The people along the way, while hiding, did not show any particular fear on their faces.

Here, wizards seem to have merged with the civilian class and have not shown a clear sense of class oppression and awe-inspiring mystery.

If Grimm is to evaluate, the dispersion Tallinn, though vast, has a family that is constantly in strife, and even if a so-called loose alliance is formed, it is trapped in too weak a binding and enforcement capacity to do much.

And this is obviously different.

This is a unique geographical area of the Silver Union and is therefore the most effective region for the implementation of institutional laws and regulations. No foreign wizard here has dared challenge the authority of the Silver League!

In turn, the Silver Coalition adheres to the principle of openness to the outside world and vigorously develops commerce, so there are countless foreign wizards and elites from the rest of the territory. Their arrival has undoubtedly also contributed significantly to the rapid pooling and flow of knowledge and resources within the Silver Coalition.

This is obviously more vibrant and peaceful than the Sandtalin region!

Grimm's 2 meters tall body is surrounded by two little guys around 1 meter, so the combination of the three of them is also eye-catching. But anyone who comes a little closer to Grimm can perceive the steady, wise, heartless essence that characterizes an official wizard, as well as a spiritual repression at the top of the biological chain.

Grimm looked silently at those who panicked in front of him and fled in a hurry, and at the distant apprentices who cast surprise expressions, only to silently converge and try to minimize spiritual fluctuations.

Becoming accustomed to scattering Tallinn, you don't have to worry about whether your mental pressure will have any negative impact on your neighbors. While the idea of equality in previous generations still influenced Grimm so that he would not engage in slavery like a cow or a goat, the witches' self-righteous mindset had also shifted his tacit acquiescence.

In contrast, the Silver Coalition's grasp and creation of a social atmosphere is clearly much stronger than the scattering Tallinn, and gives many non-witch elites the opportunity to stand out. Grimm feels the silver league environment is more suited to him if he has the chance to choose!

“Are we going to stand here for a day?” Alice stares at the bustling crowd with her toes, eager to go for a stroll: “It looks lively over there! ”

Green Sparkling also sees some heterogeneous beings in the crowd, either a heterogeneous servant carried by a wizard, or some openly identified human creature. Together with the apprentices, samurai and mercenaries, they rushed into successive stores and secret stores carrying strange prey, trying to sell loot seized from the Black Forest.

Cubbie carefully removed her disguise and returned to her original appearance.

Standing in a bustling crowd, seeing that people didn't show disgust and panic about their appearance, Kabi let go of his mind. For the first time, it stood on its chest and finally managed to face the human city under the rule of the wizard in its own right.

“I love it here!” Cubbie roared wildly at the bottom of her heart.

Feeling the heat coming from the bottom of the two little followers, Grimm shook his head and squeezed them into the crowd.

Grimm, who converged on all his spiritual strength, was like a young nobleman of exceptional character, handsome and instrumental. Even if he did not rely on mental pressure, his 2 metres of great shore body was filled with a strong sense of oppression, and pedestrians everywhere would automatically clear the way and dare not block his progress.

Walk forward and look at the roadside shops.

Flower shop, tailor shop, grocery store, leather store, secret law store, herbal store, pet store...

Even Grimm saw a Tolson hunt, using divination prophecy to help citizens find lost items in small shops. The shop is run by a senior apprentice who obviously wants to use his witchcraft knowledge to earn some living!

As for the flower shops, they don't sell ordinary flowers like roses, cloves, and blue lilies, but wizard resources like moonflower, sunflowers, golden ginseng, and dragongrass. These things are either extremely helpful for the witch apprentice's meditation, can nourish blood strength, or are commonly used materials for pharmacy apprentices...

And all the tailors are selling apprentice robes and wizard robes with a special magic effect, even the wizard's belt bag, which comes with a certain amount of storage space.

Leather merchants acquire animal or monster fur from the Black Forest at high prices from adventurers or apprentices, as well as the flesh and bones of those monsters.

Due to its perennial presence in elemental aura, Monster flesh is the best magical ingredient as long as the toxicity is removed from it. As for the monster skeleton, with proper carving and handling, simple trinkets can also have a certain witchcraft effect.

These things are certainly not visible to the wizards, but for the wizard apprentice and the wealthy merchant aristocrats, they are already rare treasures.

Grimm walked all the way down with Alice and Kabi, which made it quite clear that, as the east gateway to the Silver Union through the Black Forest, the resources sold by Sigma City were obviously aimed at the middle end of the population and were simply unbearable to ordinary citizens.

After a brief turn, Grimm shook his head with regret.

These resources may be of some use to Alice, but they seem too ordinary to a true wizard. Thus, the resources needed by the wizards are bound to be sold in a special place.

Grimm looked up at the tall wizard tower in the heart of the city and turned back and briefly told Alice a few words and threw her a magic card. Both sides broke up in the middle of the city and ran away.
