Age of Adepts

Chapter 356 Nightmare Garden

Two days later, the two finally arrived at the legendary Witch Hut.

This is a magic cottage hidden in a nightmare garden, guarded by a first-degree witch Sharon from the Dead Witch community.

When Alice questioned the general location of the mysterious area from nearby villagers with her childish and lovely face, the two of them found the entrance to the Nightmare Garden in a deserted and uninhabited area.

According to Alice, this should also be a ‘wilderness' mission point specially established by the Witch Council. Staffed by official witches, it is responsible for assessing and considering probationary witch trials in surrounding areas.

Because it is not open to the public, the witches stationed here deliberately create an atmosphere of mystery and terror that frightens the multi-purpose villagers who are curious about the witches. But there are a lot of rare magical plants in the nightmare garden, let alone ordinary people. It's almost impossible for a trainee witch to break in.

So when Grimm and Alice arrived at the entrance to Nightmare Garden, what they saw was a shady garden surrounded by a skewed, oblique iron fence. Inside, tall trees and strange flowers can be seen through semi-open doors, while slightly further afield is covered in faint mist.

On an old street sign erected on the right side of the garden gate, a bloody line of large characters caught my eye.

Nightmare Garden, the trespasser is dead!

Looking around the left and right, most of the iron fences you can see in your gaze have been rusted, the east and west have stood slightly, and there are many places where wild dogs with large voids can get in.

But in a place like this, ordinary wild dogs probably don't even have the courage to get close!

“Come on, these are witches' tricks to scare the hillbillies!” Alice shrugged her shoulders and pushed her hand through the rusty iron gate, stepping in with a squeaky hoarseness.

It was clear to Grimm behind her that Alice, with one foot in the door, suddenly blended into a layer of water film, and her short, thin figure suddenly became unusual.

“Chip, stay alert and alert me if you have any questions!” Grimm secretly gave the order.

“Di, the task has been established... Special force field fluctuations have been detected, but the alert level has not yet been reached...”

I wish there was no danger!

Grim, this is a reassuring big step into the garden.

This is a nightmare garden!

When Grimm came in, he realized that what he saw was a botanical garden, a plantation with magical plants everywhere.

This is a magical plant resource point unlike any human noble garden.

The stone path stretching underfoot is 5 meters wide enough for two or three adults to walk side by side here. On either side of the trail is a garden divided by a 1 metre tall wooden fence, planted with strange plants of varying forms.

Grimm is not a pharmacist, but with the information from the Chip Database in mind, he can see that the plants in there can recognize half of them.

Nightmare Gardens are, indeed, Nightmare Gardens, where few normal varieties of plants are grown, the vast majority of which are virulent and evil bloodthirsty plants and variants. If they were to appear in human society, I'm afraid any of them would create a considerable wave of wind.

Human noodle mushroom, blood-sucking vine, cannibal flower, sunflower, potato grass, snakehead fungus, tree demon, flower elf...

Most of these plants are clustered, and many of these guys Grimm have been dealing with them for a long time in the Magic Swamp.

Like a human facial mushroom, it's a little red mushroom shape, with a few slender dark spots on the umbrella, sweeping away the human smile like children's grass. Once they smell the popularity, they stretch out their hands and feet like they've been activated, gathering together and squeaking, making sounds like children screaming, and they look pretty cute.

But once someone is bewildered by them and walks into their midst, they create a mysterious dream like illusion that the other person can't pull themselves out of.

Besides, don't look at them. They're cute. They're meat eaters!

There are also some plants that are single born, with only one lonely tree in a large farm. Like a tree demon, it's this horrible plant. Their survival does not require partners, and all other plants in their parasitic areas are deprived of their livelihood and eventually wither away.

But the demons planted here are obviously young creatures, and once they grow up, they will pull their roots out of the ground and transform themselves into intelligent creatures of human form. The tree demons of that time, the handsome women of the men, with their natural enchantment spells, were also an ideal contractual creature for the witches.

As for wild tree demons, which are usually hidden in the depths of the jungle, they are one of the jungle fairies that are easy to catch. Even Grimm didn't expect to see their young bodies here.

In addition to these, there are mysterious plants grown in the Nightmare Garden that Grimm has never seen before.

It is a dense, numb, pale yellow flower with a slightly closed, pink petal that swings slowly in the breeze, revealing nothing peculiar from the outside. But when Grimm leaned down slightly, it was a scary discovery that each closed petal had an eye-catching human face.

Old, small, male, female, beautiful, ugly... a clear and distinct face, different looks, but the only thing they all have in common is their eyes closed.

Grimm couldn't reside here without using a "they” to describe these...

Because the sleeping faces in these petals are too realistic, they give Grimm the illusion that they are real humans.

Grimm looked up in horror, a huge bush of flowers lush, but somehow gave him a hint of the shadow and strange feeling. The breeze blew and a wave of whispering sounded as if they were secretly talking about something.

“Dip, unknown force field fluctuations detected, initially determined as an illusion field... it is recommended that the subject immediately stay away! ”

Perhaps this is not an illusion!

Grimm hurriedly took two steps away from the creepy garden. He had the feeling that once those people opened their eyes, something terrible would happen.

“Rest assured, this is one of the many resource points of the Witch Council and all magical plants are strictly regulated. They won't dare attack you as long as you don't take this stone path. But once you've been lured into the garden, then..." Alice doesn't go on, but Grimm knows exactly what she means.

The situation here is much the same as the magical marshes Grimm once stayed in. Too many dangerous magical plants are grown and cultivated in the resource point. They are the most horrible monsters in the world for ordinary people. Those apprentice witches who are slightly weaker can barge in and suffer a lot, I'm afraid.

This… may be the main reason the Witch Council has set this place as one of the apprenticeship Witch Trial Quest assessment review locations!

And places like this, of course, are managed!

Just as Alice led Grimm wandering around in the Nightmare Garden, a strange trumpet flower on their side suddenly rose by a few points, sending a hoarse old woman's voice from inside.

“It's not a nightmare garden amusement day! No matter where you come from, daring to break into my Sharon's territory is a huge offense! You have 3 minutes to exit here, otherwise..."

“Merciful Granny Sharon, dear Alice is here to see you! Have you forgotten me?” Alice screamed excitedly instead of being scared at all.

She knew the witch here?

Grimm suddenly realized, no wonder so many places, she chose here first!

“Alice... which Alice...”

As the old witch muttered to herself, a palm-sized, full-body red 34916 fruit suddenly climbed up on the giant horn flower, resembling a miniature version of the human maiden's flower elf, and she had a thin, clear wing behind her.

To be honest, the Sprite and Grim have seen Green Sprite before, although similar in appearance, in different jungle fairy subjects.

A type of auxiliary botanical witchcraft that is smooth and peaceful and is usually captured by the wizards to manage their own homes and laboratories. A highly poisonous witchcraft in the plant system, biologically fierce and fast, often used as a battle magic pet.

As the Sprite flew out of the horn flower, she waved a small magic stick in her hand, clapping her transparent wings around Alice and circling quickly, leaving a fading light of light in the air...

“Alice! It's you, Alice... Alice from the Moya family... Your name has been ringing in the witch circle lately, I thought it was another guy with your name, I didn't think it was really you! Now that you're here, come on in... but the guy you're traveling with, it's best to stay outside, he's in big trouble now!” It seems that Alice was also seen by the old witch in the distant cabin with the eyes of the flower elf, and her voice continues to be heard in the trumpet flower.

“Grandma Sharon, Grimm is Alice's partner now, and you're willing to leave Alice's partner alone with these magical plants?” Somehow, Alice is now increasingly using her ‘girl’ identity.

The sound of sighing was heard in the trumpet flower.

“You're already a mature woman of 25 years old, and you're still playing this game in front of me... OK, let that witch come in with you! ”

At the behest of the old witch, the flower elf smiled sweetly at the two of them and turned to take them to the distant witch cabin.

With the Flower Pokémon leading the way, the cabin, which had previously been circled and could not be approached, arrived in front of it in just two or three minutes.
