Age of Adepts
Chapter 406: Witch Tower
Three Great Adept Influences...
Northern Witches on the North Coast, Silver Alliance on the West Coast, and Wizards Association on the East Coast!
They each have their own intellectual heritage and cultural traditions, while the outside world exhibits a high degree of monopoly and exclusion.
When it comes to the Witch of the North, it is generally accepted that the characteristic is fierceness!
Extremely fierce!
Without this fierce momentum, how could a bunch of witches open up Nova's territory in an impoverished northern land and allow the witches to carry on for tens of thousands of years?
It is by virtue of this fierce force that they retreat from the demons of the Black Forest and compete with them every inch for precious land. Why are the people of the North so convinced of this group of witches, because it was the witches of the North who opened their arms and blocked the horrific tide of beasts and the horrific demons with much more courage than the men.
The witches are the true Guardian of the North!
In contrast, the Silver Union is more like a miscellaneous army.
Its upper echelons are not as good at fighting as the witches of the North, but are good at mastering and monopolizing technology. They possess floating fortresses, conveying witch formations, martial armies, large volumes of scrolls, medicines, magic wands… these are rare resources and daily consumables indispensable to the wizards.
Monopolize these and earn them vast amounts of resources and magic crystals.
So a lot of people think of the Silver Coalition as a supermassive business organization that despises their wizard identity.
As for the Wizards Association on the East Coast, it is a large, fully orthodox organization of wizards.
Their greatest features are the integrity and comprehensiveness of the knowledge system and the exhaustion of the talents of wizards.
In the central part of the continent, in the scattering Tallinn region, the logging and development of extraterritorial subdivisions are taking place in a family form. The human and resource costs of the previous frontal wars were borne by individual families, while development and resource recovery in the latter half were the cornerstones of the family's continued progress.
In the Association of Wizards, facade is dominated entirely by individual wizards.
There are many 'Explorers’ within the Wizards' Association. They may not be very powerful on their own, but they are extremely good at void exploration and spot searching. They wandered endlessly deep into the stars, exploring dangerous areas one after the other, selling their position coordinates inside the association whenever they found an unoccupied subposition.
And those powerful wizards within the association take turns to bid, and those with high prices get it.
Wizards who have obtained frontal coordinates will then be responsible for recruiting a suitable team of wizards to build a solid outpost camp in the subordinate by breaking down the frontal barriers by powerful means. Once the Wizard Formation is completed, the follow-up can basically be taken over by the Wizards Association!
Subsequent logging, occupation, and resource exploitation will be handled by professional wizards from the Wizards' Association. The wizards who succeeded in defeating the outpost camp simply need to sit back and harvest their resources!
So the subdivisions occupied by the Wizards' Association are dominated by the Association, and many wizards are just fighters hired and hired by it. In this way, some powerful wizards emerge from the cumbersome and complex process of occupation, cleansing and domination.
Misappropriate resources by means of war to constantly strengthen oneself, and then rely on strong strength to conquer more positions. This is a sustainable development model chosen by the sorcerer's association for itself!
So combining the power of the three sorcerer forces, the most powerful undoubtedly belongs to the sorcerer's association, while the silver league comes second to the bottom, the Northern Witches.
But if there is a small area of witch conflict, judging by the power they show, it is the Northern Witches first, the Wizards Association second, and the Silver League Wizards weakest!
This is the current pattern of power in the whole world of wizards.
As for the scattered Tallinn, which occupies the largest population and land resources in the middle of the continent, it is, after all, just a loose coalition of wizard families. It appears to have the largest number of wizards, the largest population of inhabitants and the most vast resources of land, but its power is beyond words.
And the only reason it wasn't swallowed up by the three forces was because the three forces threw rat taboos, all worried that their slight moves would stir the other two families together. So while all three forces are working to expand their influence in the dispersed Tallinn region, they are too late to make a breakthrough due to the extreme exclusion of the local wizard family.
The old men of the Scattered Tallinn Society, despite a strong struggle for power, were rarely very united when they encountered signs of interference in the centre by the three forces. Don't let it go, don't let any of the wizard families in the dispersion Tallinn fall back on one of the three forces!
All the Central Families that were secretly infiltrated by the three forces will be silently defeated in a family war, without exception!
Anyway, there was a lot of time, so Grimm was chatting about the Grigg Witch all over the sea.
Despite information about the three forces, he had gained considerable knowledge through books and practical contacts. But he still benefited from chatting with the Grigg Witch and learned a lot of the well-known ‘secrets’ from the side!
Of course, in his spare time, Grimm couldn't help but wonder how those two silver league wizards would build a wizard tower underneath his feet. After all, the Sarubo family sent an elite family of more than twenty or thirty people in that time to build a model of a war witch tower for only a month.
And the tower builder sent by the Silver Coalition is full of just two people, which... makes Grimm feel a little strange in every way. And the amount of stones, special metals, and magic gems needed to build a tower is terrible. Can two tower wizards bring them all?
Of course, in the area selected by Grimm, volcanic rocks there are perfectly capable of collecting materials in situ, saving a lot of stone consumption. But this calculation is still a huge workload, even if two wizards have not slept for nine days, it will be difficult to accomplish such a daunting task!
The more you think, the more incredible it is!
However, Grimm could have guessed that they must have carried with them a number of special statues for tower construction, which would be the only way to solve the labor shortage. But what about the etch array? If you want the tower to become an entirely wizard-controlled witchcraft facility, then I'm afraid you'll have to etch a completely different array of functions on every stone in the entire tower.
Robust characters, antidemonic characters, antiprophetic characters... these things can't be spared. Then outline the magic lines and energy nodes that spread throughout the tower, supplemented by the necessary Rufu Witch Array. This enormous amount of work is simply crumbling, can only be accomplished by a single wizard?
Can't a silver league develop some sort of statue assembly that can automatically etch magic lines and spell witch arrays? I feel unreliable when I think about it!
However, in Grim's fussy guessing room, nine days quickly disappeared.
Finally, the Eugene wizard stepped out of the cave and sent Grimm a message of witchcraft.
So Grimm leads Grigg and Sabrina into the underground cave impatiently.
A dark red ‘tall tower' stood silently there, in the central area of the cave swarm. The tower is made up of a large pile of volcanic rock, coupled with excessively abundant internal fire-like energy, and the entire tower emits cloaked red light.
If Grimm is right, I'm afraid the lava well he discovered has become part of the Witch Tower, and the energy intervals of the Witch Tower are already connected to the lava sea below. It also signals that this‘ tall tower 'will never suffer from a lack of energy.
At least not in terms of fire energy!
As we slowly approached the tower, a pair of fine gold gates at the bottom of the tower slowly opened, and three Silver League wizards were waiting for Grim inside.
And in the hands of the fighter, there is a strange crystal that shines brilliantly.
“This is the control crystal of the core witch array of this witch tower, and you need to use it to activate the whole witch array of the witch tower, and then this witch tower will actually open. All right, you go in there alone and finish your soul certification! ”
Grimm's face revealed a hint of excitement, nodded silently and took on a strange crystal.
Sturdy, cold, clear crystals seemed to contain strange magical energy... holding the crystal end for a moment and Grimm nodded to the three of them, which slowly walked into the witch tower alone.
The Witchtower has five floors, and the first thing you see when you walk in is a huge hall of witchcraft, which will be the main public venue for Witchcraft apprentices in the future. In the future it may be overcrowded, full of witchcraft facilities, but it is now an empty lobby.
In addition, Grimm saw a small library on the left side of the lobby, while the apprenticeship residences were on the right side, with rows of small stone rooms, which were of course completely unavailable.
The spiral stone ladder leading up to the upper level is located in the corner of the lobby and the simple carved stone steps and walls appear to be rough and rudimentary due to the lack of careful polishing.
When Grimm held the control crystal in his hand, the entire inner structure of the tower had actually been completely projected into his mind. However, the altar of elements between the energies has not yet been opened, and the core wizard array of the tower has not yet taken over the small symbol arrays distributed throughout the tower, so the whole wizard tower is still silent and unable to respond to his commands.
Stepping into the spiral stone ladder, Grimm projected some special witchcraft phrases and symbolic gestures in front of him. Only when the spell is recited in conjunction with the gesture will the temporary passage open between the underground material warehouse and the underground second level of energy.
Otherwise, this spiral stone ladder will only lead to two layers above the ground.
This also suggests that a guy without control will never come close to the material warehouse or the energy room!
Grimm hesitated for a moment and pressed down on the impulse to visit the energy intervals first, then slowly followed the stone steps up to the fourth floor where the Core Witchcraft was located.
