Age of Adepts

Chapter 420 Spider Forest

In the gloomy starlight, the jungle around the sick woods appears unusually quiet.

Not only are there no traces of the large carnivorous jungle creatures, but even the bird singing bugs disappeared. The whole black forest is like a grave, and the silence of death is frightening.

The mountains that had originally risen in the sick woods had disappeared, and the collapsed pits devoured hundreds of tons of dirt and sandstone and dead trees, turning it into a pile of rocks.

At this point, however, just at one corner of this pile of rocks, a strange sound continues to sound. At first, the sound was as thin as a mouse sneaking through a hole, but gradually, it became louder and louder.

Boom…

With a fierce loud noise, a short neck tail, a strange monster, both like a dragon and a lion vulture, burst into the mud and drilled out of the ground. It is sturdy, powerful, and has more claws on the tip of its teeth, although the grey hard skin is full of scary scars.

It drilled out of the ground, trembling violently and shuddering away the dirt on its body, as its neck hissed and its thick hind limbs slammed into the sky one by one, and its strong body flew into the sky again.

Fast circling two times on a pile of rocks, King Flying Dragon's neck sighed with grief, turning his body toward the cliff where he lived on the east side.

Soon after it disappeared, a dark figure appeared next to the bursting hole.

Dark Tentacle Monster's soft and flexible body is almost impossible to see in the light of the night, only to see a huge shadow in obscurity.

hesitated for a moment, the Dark Tentacle Monster floated slowly, using the cover of night to quickly flee towards the distance.

It is a man who likes to hang out alone, and the destruction of the tide of beasts undoubtedly has the least impact on it. However, in view of the possible reprisals that the human wizard may take next, it feels that this forest is no longer a safe place.

It's time to think about the move!

With an idea, Dark Tentacle Monster travels through endless darkness and its body grows farther and farther away.

And just as they kept moving away, some part of the mess pile burst open a large mouth again, hunting the spider tug wrapped around a huge cocoon drilled out of it, and the head never disappeared into the woods.

It took more than an hour for a new change to occur in the pile of rocks.

With a crisp shout, a mud layer suddenly collapsed, revealing a huge curved hole. Immediately afterwards, a shadow of different shapes drilled out of it, arranged near the hole, and seemed to be waiting for someone big.

Grim, of course, came out of the hole at the end.

After the battle of bathing blood just now, Grim, although somewhat tired, continued to fight with a strong desire for harvest.

Grimm was never the tallest of these shadows, but when he appeared, all the shadows bowed down slightly and bowed down to him.

Grimm's gaze slowly swept through this group of 'people', a team of less than twenty, but covered three identities: disciples, subordinates and servants.

“Meryl, you take Kodal and the Bird Demon, as well as Scorpion Lion Leader and two Scorpion Lions, to the Big Bamboo's old nest, Twin Towers Mountains, and if it goes well, visit the Bird Demon's house on the way back...”

“Understood! Don't worry, Teacher! ”

“Gekko, you take Sabrina and the Snake Demon, as well as the three Scorpion Lions, to Medusa Hive Red Stone first, and then on the way back, you take everything the Snake Demon Hill can take away...”

“Leave it to me, master!” Once again, the Grigg witch sent out his signature smile.

“All right, the rest of you come with me to Tura's Spider Cave. Let me see if that guy's hiding back in his lair! ”

“Yes!” The three demon dogs responded with impatience.

Having just been subdued by man, even the wounds in his body have not healed in time, he needs to go to the nest of the Expeditionary Monster Lord Tula, which makes him unhappy in any case. But the situation is stronger than man, and now its life and death are in the hands of that human wizard, and it has no choice!

Simple teams, three human wizards paired with three groups of quasi-witches, monsters and scorpion lions, such teams encounter those fleeing enemies, even if they do not take advantage of much, they will not be easily overthrown by the enemy. After all, several monster leaders know each other, and after this battle, it is also clear what is left of the other's family.

So after weighing the pros and cons, Grimm resolutely distributed the main power of the Witch Tower and scraped some of the resources that were useful to him to the best of his ability.

Of course, a witch tower such as the one that stands on its feet cannot be too empty. So Grimm left the Lin demon behind, and with the help of a group of witch apprentices such as Am, if he can't keep the witch tower close, it will be difficult to attack the remaining monsters alone.

So after waving goodbye to the crowd, Grim crossed a grown scorpion lion and took three demon dogs, Anguga, to the spider's lair of Tula, Lord of Demons.

…………

The Spider's Nest of Tula is also a huge cave.

Located in a valley about 200 miles north of the woods.

On this journey, Grimm sat on the back of a scorpion lion, slightly overlooking the forest beneath him, and the amount of life breath that could be perceived within the spiritual perception had been drastically reduced to a staggering level.

Hundreds of thousands of jungle creatures were destroyed during the Sick Woods War, and the impact on this black forest was unprecedented. Although the mobility of organisms in the Black Forest is strong, and the biological vacuum will soon be filled by jungle organisms in nearby areas, the quantity and quality will definitely have to be several grades lower.

And the density of jungle life determines the amount of monsters that this black forest can support.

Demons are scarce, their tower security will be high, but their resources are lacking.

Just as Grimm thought silently, Anguga, the three demon dogs who had been running on the ground, finally stopped at the entrance to a huge valley.

Grimm's scorpion lion hovered around, and huge batwing wrapped around the roaring wind, lowering his torso by Anguga's side.

Grimm jumped off the scorpion lion and carefully gauged the gloomy forest in front of him.

Compared to the common black forest, this should be called the ‘White Forest’.

This valley, chosen as a nest by the hunted spider Tula, is full of tall and straight ancient trees, but few tree crowns and bushes, thorns, and vines climbing through the open forest space are seen, replacing it with a monstrous white spider web.

On the crown, between branches, between trees...

In short, whenever there are gaps, they are filled with white sticky spider webs and clumps or large or small cocoons.

Some of the cocoons hang between the branches, some are embedded in the tree caves, and some hang on either side of the road, swinging up and down gently as the night breezes blow.

In some cocoons, Grimm sensed a faint breath of life, and most of the life in the cocoon had been drained of body fluids and turned into horrible dry corpses.

But the anomaly is that Grimm leads three demon dogs into the valley for a few hundred meters, without discovering any spider creatures!

All buried in the lava sea?

The idea was rejected by Grim himself as soon as it emerged.

Tula, such a sly monster lord, could never have done such a decisive thing. There must still be enough spiders hiding in its nest to protect it, and when it escapes from the ground, it will probably hide in its own nest for the first time.

If it's a good guess, it's going to roll Medusa away before it leaves, I'm afraid, in an attempt to regain strength. The only thing we don't know right now is whether it's going to eat that Medusa alive, steam it, or fry it.

When I think of Medusa's gorgeous face and snake-like figure, Grimm has to feel sorry for a while. Eating such ‘beauty' is a waste!

Grimm's black eyes glittered blue, slowly sweeping past the spider jungle in front of her, and the divine color on her face gradually subsided.

In his mind, every time a dense web of spiders is swept through, elemental vision scans the web for traces of energy flow. And the chip warnings are constant.

“WARNING… WARNING… discovering an unknown protective field… which absorbs mental power and blocks the penetration of mental perception…"

Eh, a spiderweb that blocks spiritual perception?

Grim Xinbu came to the heel of a tall ancient tree, reached out and grabbed the tree trunk, wrapped the ancient tree in a dense spider web, gently tearing it apart.

Sticky, tough, and with a hint of crispness that can paralyze the spirit of man...

If Grimm were an ordinary jungle creature, hitting a web like this would soon absorb his spiritual vitality and become one of the many cocoons here.

Grimm tried so hard to tear these seemingly ordinary spider webs apart with his power up to 3 points. You know, adult black bears in the Black Forest have more than 3: 00. 3: 00 is enough to make Grimm a barbarian beast in the jungle, defeating most carnivorous beasts with bare hands, even without any witchcraft.

Of course, demons like Earth Storm Bear and Iron Armored Rhinoceros are not included!

Grimm gently struck a ringing finger and immediately lit the flame of the bear on his right hand grabbing the web. With the aid of witchcraft, the stiff, sticky web of rhinoceros immediately disappeared.

Looks like the flame is the star of this web!

Grimm stretched out in front of the flaming palms, wrapping the ancient trees in layers and layers of spider webs quickly melted away like boiling soup.

Soon, the dark, thin bark of the ancient trees revealed itself.

Grimm punched out without any hesitation, and the iron fist directly from the starfire smashed the outer skin of the ancient tree into it.

Ancient trees are hollow!

When Grimm pulled his fist out, the mouth of the ancient tree spilled purple and black stinking blood, and countless little spiders gushed out of it. And through the opening, Grimm sees white bones and residual hair in hollow tree cavities.

Grimm's discovery also seemed to have touched the entire spider forest, and those horrible dry corpses hanging between the treetops and branches suddenly moved strangely, tearing the web from their bodies with rigid motions.

Once they got rid of the cobwebs, they flew through the tall ancient trees with no less agility than a leopard, howling toward Grimm and the three demon dogs.

For a while, the whole spider forest rioted!
