Age of Adepts

Chapter 500: New Intruders

Five days, not long, not short.

For Billis the Bug Witch, it was just a game with a bunch of bug soldiers with the goblins. But for the tragic Berta town goblins, it means thousands of casualties. 125 goblins, over 900 slaves of all races...

By the fifth day, when the metal sphere was felt to be full of energy, Billis had broken free of the goblin's entanglement and dived deep into the jungle in the night.

As the metallic sphere unfolds silently in the middle of a forest, the stars in the sky become dull. A horrible star ray of sunshine shines from the core of the sphere, blinding the entire forest space.

The intense glow even penetrated the dense numbness and layered leaf mask above the head, casting countless columns of light into the pitch-black night sky, illuminating most of the sky as daylight. And this bizarre sight can be seen clearly, even a few decades apart.

And with a strong glow comes a terrible void ripple that shakes the facade barrier. And as the void ripples grow stronger and space fluctuations become more frequent, the entire dense forest space begins to be affected by the imminent formation of space wormholes.

Far from Beta Town, 30 to 40 miles away, Bazk and Naru, the two Legion Chiefs, hurriedly climbed onto the lookout platform and looked with shock at the terrible column of light that ran straight into the sky.

They have no elemental talent and naturally cannot perceive the existence of space fluctuations in the void, but their heart beats faster and faster due to a dangerous intuition that has no origins. If you don't press your hands against your heart, the more you jump, the faster your heart will break free of flesh and jump straight out of your chest.

“This feeling… I seem… to be… familiar… that… is…” Deputy Commander Naru is a leaner green goblin, wearing a pencil and a pair of elegant golden silk glasses, filling the whole goblin with a noble taste.

At this moment, however, it has been frightened to the face of earth, pointing to the distant pillars of light, and it is difficult to speak of the period of Ai.

“It's telespatial transmission, and it's also cross-faceted and so on...” The leader of the Batsk Corps looked iron and blue, his little green bean-like eyes stared dead at the distance, biting his teeth to say the word Naru was most afraid of.

In less than five days, there have been two such horrendous abnormalities around the town of Beta, and if they are not yet awake, they do not deserve to be commanders of tens of thousands of goblins.

The town of Beta, no, the very surface on which they depend, has been targeted by some terrible enemy. The scene of the last anomaly was relatively small, indicating that only a few ectopic monsters invaded. But this time the alien scene is so grand, I'm afraid the enemies of the invasion will be far more powerful than ever.

The entire Karyak area belongs to the garrison of the Seventh Army Corps in Bazk. In accordance with past war processes, when there are enemies in the defensive zone that are difficult for local guards to cope with, only the head of the Bazk Corps has the authority to bring together a team of geologists who hold on to cities large and small, and then deploy them systematically to the theatre.

In order to facilitate the clean-up of the slave rebellion that took place everywhere, the 7th Army Corps retained this mobile corps of more than 400 goblins. Using them is enough to wipe out those sporadic little insurgencies!

But at this point, Bazk looked at the distant visions of the sky and felt like he was sinking into a bottomless cold pool, cold and dark. Most importantly, it can feel itself sinking all the time without finding any opportunity to escape the status quo.

“Where's the Goblin? Where's our sperm ship? Let them hurry up, I want to get there first time and give the enemy a headache...” Bazk is like a losing gambler at this moment, screaming anxiously on the lookout platform.

Immediately a Goblin officer ran down to deliver the order.

Half an hour later, the giant geotechnical spacecraft pulled up from a berth in the northeast of the town, honking a whistle, quickly breaking through the night sky and flying in the direction of the rising light.

Thirty or forty miles is only a half-minute thing for the Goblin.

In the desperate anticipation of the town's near-thousand goblins, the goblin spacecraft rapidly approached the ‘accident’ jungle. Yet just as it dropped altitude, trying to pry into what was happening in the woodlands, a radiant flying meteor was hitting on top of its giant floating bag.

The next moment, a supermassive fireball emerged over the woodland, and a terrible blast wave even blew up all the trees and plants that had been thrown over the circle and a half miles away.

Even at a distance of 30 to 40 miles, many goblins climbing rooftops, walls, and lookout platforms can feel the burning heat coming from the face of the earth. With their gazed gaze, the geotechnical spacecraft, traditionally regarded as an air tank, instantly burst into a fireball and then splashed into thousands of meteorological showers.

At this moment, all the goblins are silent!

Even Bazk, who was raving wildly on the lookout platform, suddenly lost his soul, and his head, which had always been high, was pulled down.

A strong enemy has finally arrived!

…………

Grimm retracted his raised right hand.

He was the one who, after crossing the space wormhole, did not wait for the spirit to adjust, and witchcraft shot down the goblin spacecraft that dared to shine in front of him.

But the price he paid for it was also enormous.

A fierce fireball of no more than 220 degrees drastically lowered his mental strength by more than 13, and also triggered the repression of a position entangled in his body and soul, making him unable to hold his hand and cough violently against the wand.

Mary, who had crossed with him, had obviously not been able to adapt to the rules of the table, and the whole person seemed depressed and had difficulty fully controlling his body.

Space wormholes made of metal spheres obviously can't support more people passing through, and once the void energy is exhausted, the space wormholes that are lost collapse quickly.

As the wormhole gets smaller and smaller, the jungle facing the side of the wormhole immediately encounters the opposite tide of space. Innumerable dirt, dead branches, grass scraps, rotten leaves, small insects and other debris, due to the lack of witchcraft protection, are caught in the inner tide of space that only refers to the size of the stomach.

Finally, even space singularities disappeared under the power of powerful positional healing with a slight chirp.

The whole jungle has once again restored calm in the past.

But standing in the middle of the woods and looking around, it's like being attacked by a super horrible meteor, and all the trees within half a mile of each other collapse. The jungle on the side of the wormhole is cleaner, with no spots of debris and debris. Even the loose topsoil of the earth is sucked away by space singularities, revealing the dark black land beneath.

As a blood wizard, Marie's physical qualities should be far above Grimm's. But as Grimm advanced to Level 2 Wizard, his health surpassed that of Mary, becoming stronger and more resilient than hers.

Think of the first time you crossed the ectopic surface, despite the protection of a six-stage wizard, but at the beginning of the crossing, Grimm still had difficulty breathing suppressed by the force of the position, almost even walking was a problem. But this time, without the blessing of the Great Wizard, Grimm held Mary to successfully withstand the spatial anomalies as she crossed the surface, without any damage, and penetrated the geophysical surface.

And when he crossed over, Grimm adjusted his breath just a few times to make himself feel free to move.

Though he was still uncomfortable exercising witchcraft, he was countless times better than Mary's soft feet.

“I hate the world!” Mary leaned softly against Grimm and cursed with hatred: "The goddamn rules of the table make me feel like a fish thrown into the desert, I can't breathe at all...”

Grimm smiled with empathy.

Wizards, seriously, can also be a group of energetic creatures standing against the human body. Their bodies are constantly echoing and communicating with their surroundings. The magical energy that pervades the surface space moisturizes their bodies at all times, leaving them in a state of high demons at all times.

And yet, by the time we got here, to this hypogeous geogenic surface, the magic energy concentration in the surface space was so low that it was a kind of collapse. And the magic energy here is full of inertia, far less active than it is in its original world, so fresh.

So here, even if it's just a normal breath, the wizards have a terrible feeling that they need to do everything they can to get the air into their alveoli!

After more than a dozen years, Marie finally initially adapted to the ‘dirty, inferior' air of the geostationary surface before leaving Grimm's help and being able to move on her own.

“Billis, you're doing great!” Grimm leans over and puts away a metal sphere that depletes the energy of the void, looking at Billis, the bug witch who is standing on his side: “Now, take us to your hideout! I need more comprehensive first-hand information on the geological location...”

“My lord, everything is ready!” The wormhead beneath Billis' black robe reveals a slight smile: “Follow me, please! ”

In short, Billis turned and took the lead somewhere in the jungle.

Grim and Marie both wore black robes, pulled up their hood and left silently.

In order to avoid being surrounded by local indigenous peoples, they had to be so discreet and careful.

The last time I crossed the knight's seat, there was a six-stage wizard who supported the scene, so there wasn't too much escape from the space movement. But this time, they almost crossed it. Strong spatial fluctuations can be transmitted almost thousands of miles away due to the lack of cover-up of the witch tower.

So this trip is almost a delusion to hide the local indigenous people, unless the goblins are blind and deaf for thousands of miles. So as soon as the crossing was complete, Grimm was impatiently relocating to a hiding place that Billis had set aside in advance.
