Age of Adepts

Chapter 554: In the Ballroom

By the time Grimm walked down the black carriage, the banquet at Rose Manor had begun for too long.

Due to the rush, Grimm did not have time to make more arrangements and could only rent a four-wheeled carriage to reach this rose estate in a nearby city.

Without that eye-catching Wizard's Robe, Grimm also changed her head and wore a wig cover, a pair of golden wire glasses on her nose and a long, black, double-breasted dress. With his dark hair and dark eyes, he also carries a hint of nobility and pride beyond the grace of ordinary people.

It happened so suddenly!

Although he had already instructed Mary not to get too close to Lester, it would only be necessary to gather some simple information about him from the outside. But obviously Mary didn't do what he asked.

The presence of bloodline shackles allowed Mary to stay too ‘long’ at the first-order elite level. Especially Grimm's smooth promotion to the 2nd level deeply inspired the strong, winning female vampire.

Though the two were already intimate couples in the dark, the strong thoughts etched in Marie's bones had not been eradicated. So she also has a lot of extraordinary enthusiasm and motivation for hunting Lester.

But unfortunately, just as Grimm's hunting plan was well under way, terrible news came back.

That Lester was also promoted to level 2 and became a terrible vampire count.

This… is clearly far beyond what the original hunting plan could handle!

If a second-degree vampire kills with impunity, it will take less than a month to pull up a servant army of purely blood slaves and derivatives. And a family of vampires, with all their strength, can turn the whole of the continent into a vampire world within six months.

Unfortunately, no vampire family dares be so insane under the supervision of the Scattering Tallinn Wizards Association. If they only made descendants or blood slaves in their own territory, no wizard would intervene. But once they reach out to someone else's territory, they will strike all sorcerers together.

Besides, vampires live off the blood of intelligent beings. If all the inhabitants of their territory were turned into blood slaves or derivatives, they would find themselves in a desperate embarrassment.

Under the control of these two reasons, all vampire families living in the world of wizards live in extreme self-discipline and have strict control over the number of blood slaves and derivatives in their territories. That is why the lives and elsewhere of the inhabitants of their territories are almost identical, and that is why there has been no mass flight for fear of vampire lords.

But vampires' slumping doesn't mean they're weak!

Vampire wizards occupy even the middle and upper levels of all peer wizards, if a comprehensive assessment can be made.

They may not be the strongest fighters, nor the fastest runners, nor the most defensive, but... they are the most cunning!

All vampire wizards share common strengths and weaknesses.

The advantage is that it runs fast, turns into a bat, and is good at latent hiding, while the biggest advantage is incredible blood-sucking resilience.

As for shortcomings, it is recognized that attack power is weak.

In the face of peer opponents, vampires are generally weak in attack and can only rely on blood suction to slowly wipe out each other's attack and defensive witchcraft.

Knowing the dilemma of second-degree vampires, Mary, driven by her manic vampire instincts, wanted to snoop into Lester. Not surprisingly, of course, her actions were detected!

After a five-day chase and killing, Mary, influenced by her blood instincts, simply failed to develop her abilities and was captured alive by the other party. And after examining Marie's veins, Lester had to be surprised.

To say something that doesn't sound good, this mysterious descendant who doesn't know where he came from, the degree of development of his native bloodline is astonishing. It is even polite to say that this level of development has outpaced Lester before promotion.

In other words, this defeated foreign-blooded woman has a staggering success rate in advancing to the second level.

And the main reason for the delay in the promotion of the other party is over the bloodline. Now that Lester has been promoted to level 2, the upper limit of the bloodline shackles is loose, and the mysterious bloodwoman can consider promotion only for a few more moments.

Bloodline reflexes are horrible, but as a family of vampires, they also have vast means of controlling this impure bloodline of outsiders.

So, Lester didn't execute Marie on the spot without wanting to waste a good blood fighter. Instead, she was taken to this rose manor, ready to wait until this was done before taking Mary back to Blood Castle to teach.

Time was running out for Grimm to plan, so when he got word, he had to rush to the rose estate.

Grim's arrival immediately attracted the attention of the waiter waiting at the door.

To be honest, Grimm's clothes are not as luxurious, and the quadricycles he carries are even less eye-catching and even slightly sour among the many luxurious styles of carriages.

But when Grimm's hand touched the breast slap in front of the doorway to Arrogant Manor, the bump of Willing made several of the waiters present immediately realize that a great figure had arrived.

Despite Grimm's efforts to subdue his spiritual authority, there is still an unseen sense of bullying in the way he talks and even in the eyes of his eyebrows.

“My lord, I do not know that you are…” The chief waiter who greets us in front of the door also possesses the status of a blood slave outside the Vic family, almost equivalent to that of the local noble middle class. Placing it in the general wizard family is also the status of a wizard apprentice.

“Grim!” Grimm did not say much and simply stated his name.

Lonely names, not even a single family title, have become more cautious and respectful than the chief waiter in charge of receiving them.

This is the Land of Wizards, traditionally regarded as Wizards.

And most of the wizards who struggle on their own have only names, no family names. This is in stark contrast to the wizards cultivated by the wizard families, but no one dares to underestimate them by half.

The visitor was not an ordinary person at first glance and did not have a family name, so the knowledgeable chief waiter immediately realized that he was a hidden wizard.

Throughout the Wizard Continent, any manor or castle is unwelcome for visiting wizards!

So in a loud announcement, Grimm walked through the tall and spacious gates and into the ballroom.

The arrival of Grimm did not attract the attention of anyone, as this was the moment when the band was playing cheerful and relaxing music and many young aristocratic men and women fought over the dance floor.

Only the chief waiter waved and whispered a few words before rushing to the estate's main building.

…………

Since coming to this mysterious wizard world, Grimm has participated in a variety of banquets. But it was either a half-party, half-trade banquet organized by the apprentices, or a private banquet organized by the wizards.

Invited guests are single, purposeful, and the format of the banquet is simple or even a little boring.

But like in front of us, countless handsome men and women dressed bright and chasing each other, laughing and laughing are the only ones. And this, perhaps, is the way of life that wizards who give up their witchcraft paths and hence become obsessed with meat * with secular power.

Although also a banquet hall, there are also extremely obvious interior and exterior fields.

The inner banquet is dominated by the banquet hall on the ground floor of that three-story small building in the heart of the estate, most of which can be found in the great aristocracy and top wealthy merchants of the major cities. There are, of course, countless carefully chosen noble women and beautiful young girls.

Low-middle and middle-level aristocracy can only be found in lawns, gardens, botanical gardens and tree-lined paths near the main building. Here, too, they can encounter a lot of "big people" sneaking out of the main hall, so Grimm is nowhere near as exciting as the main hall is.

Grimm, though not a body wizard, doesn't have those hard, iron-like perverted muscles. But up to 2 meters tall, it still gave him a near-perfect body tone. Add a touch of warmth and elegance to his tailored gown.

On his way, he did not have to collude, and countless beautiful ladies had thrown their eyes at him. Even some haughty girls stopped him directly and spoke with him enthusiastically in the spring.

These vulgar mature * women are able to naturally chase the smell of the strong, even though they do not see through Grimm's identity. Even though Grimm has shrunk spilled spiritual power, that enormous life force, like a huge magnetic field, naturally attracts these peripheral women.

Grim's eyes swept and he counted.

Half of the women who gathered around them were peripheral blood slaves of the Vic family. They are surrounded day by day by high-ranking vampires who serve them with enthusiasm and rely on betraying youth and flesh * to gain their favor.

Individuals, like Grimm, with strong vitality, are their best hunting targets. Once prey is lured into bed by them and secretly absorbs each other's vitality while they are in bed, it is also the only way they can build up their strength and strive to become stronger.

Once strength breaks the threshold and succeeds in advancing to the Baron, or Quasi-Wolf Strength, they will be free from the status of blood slaves, formally recognized by the family and become an internal member of the Vic family.

As a result, a delicious‘ prey ’was suddenly seen in the ballroom, and almost half of the Vic family's peripheral female blood slaves were attracted, gathered around Grimm to play around and show off their flair.

Of course, this is also about Grimm masking his status as a second-degree wizard.

Otherwise, give them a hundred more balls and don't dare so openly seduce a terrible second-degree wizard!
