Chapter 642: Stay Out of the Fairy’s Business (1)
"Are you an immortal?"
When Qiann Yan returned to that ominously dark space carrying a giant sword, a woman was standing by the well, deep in thought, with a mysterious and ethereal aura about her.
She had experienced the Cultivation World yet had never ascended to become an Immortal. She had cultivated to the utmost in the Cultivation World, and if she hadn’t deliberately suppressed her cultivation, she would have ascended long ago.
The woman in front of her possessed a mysterious and ethereal aura, but there were traces of demonic qi intermingled within her spiritual body. After observing, Qiann Yan still believed that she should be an Immortal at heart, rather than a demon, perhaps touched by something that caused the demonic qi.
"I was once an Immortal, so to speak." The woman responded calmly, bowing to Qiann Yan, "You must be the master of this Wish Space."
Qiann Yan: "Yes, what is your wish?"
As soon as those words fell, Qiann Yan felt a strong killing intent and uncontrollable hostility surge from the woman who had been calm a moment ago. The previously minuscule demonic qi wrapped around her body gradually stained her transparent spiritual body black, making it impossible to discern her original visage.
Qiann Yan wasn’t afraid and quietly stood in front of her.
"I implore you, fellow cultivator, help me kill those hypocrites who schemed against my Immortal Grass Garden." Her spiritual body was surrounded by countless demonic qi, seemingly on the verge of splitting apart, yet her voice remained steady, as if the demonic invasion concerned anyone but her, "You may take everything from my Immortal Grass Garden, leave nothing behind to be schemed over."
"I originally existed as an immortal herb from the beginning of creation, surrounded by five ordinary plants. With eons imbued by Immortal Qi, they survived countless ages. I regarded them as sisters, and after countless years, I attained human form, dedicating myself to nurturing them, helping them cultivate to immortality."
"My Immortal Grass Garden was uncontentious in the world, becoming a special place upon the birth of the Heavenly Court, both the Heavenly Emperor and Heavenly Empress showed me respect. At that time, the five plants had only just attained form, under my protection, none dared bully them in the slightest."
"Perhaps there was always a difference between us. My heart was devoted to cultivation and the Dao, whereas all save my second sister were more prone to play. Every disaster began with tales in the Mortal World unbeknownst to us this was a plot against the Immortal Grass Garden."
"These words fellow cultivator should have heard before, what essentially is expressed is ’only envied mandarin ducks, not immortals’."
"The sixth sister most envied the mortal affairs of love, often indulging in these tales. Due to her special identity, descending to the Mortal World was easy, frequently witnessing such emotions. With each encounter, her thoughts wavered, just as she fell into the plot of those schemers."
"Afraid of being chastised for pursuing such affairs alone, she coerced her other sisters to join in seeking love. Despite the Immortal Realm prohibiting emotions, most Immortals preferred cultivation, aspiring for ultimate strength and few Immortals sought romance. True Monarch Immortal Lord Level Immortals were hers to choose from, yet they resisted, insisting on loving mortals from tales, believing this proved true sincerity of emotion."
"Under the sixth sister’s coercion, they descended to the Mortal World and each found so-called true love, unbeknownst that this was a plot for their spiritual pearls within. Only the second sister remained steadfast, undeterred by these external temptations, protested but was rebuffed by the sixth sister leading, scolding her for not understanding love."
"They experienced countless crises in the Mortal World, unaware these were all aimed at them, to make them surrender their spiritual pearls. The second sister, caring for sisterhood, helped repeatedly, ultimately severely wounded and losing her spiritual pearl."
