Chapter 658: Mind Your Own Business About the Fairy (17)
As for the soft-heartedness that Xuan Shuang mentioned? No, how could that be possible?
She merely brought Yuling along to watch Jiaang Zirong face his disaster, intending not to meddle in the Mortal World for now to avoid alarming anyone. These people coming to the mortal realm are certainly facing numerous calamities, watching their troubles can bring a sense of delight as well.
Within a few breaths, Qiann Yan had already ridden the clouds to Jiaang Zirong’s place of misfortune. She looked down from mid-air, through the thin layer of clouds, she saw Jiaang Zirong struggling to walk halfway up the mountain.
The torrential rain had finally washed the mud and stones down the mountain, and the rumbling sound alone was enough to instill fear.
Jiaang Zirong apparently sensed it too, for the descending mud and stones were now visible to the naked eye, and he was running swiftly with a look of terror on his face.
Yuling’s face was pale, and seeing that Qiann Yan had no intention of taking action, she was about to start pleading, but Qiann Yan abruptly made her silent.
"I only brought you over, I never said I would save him."
"Once he encounters trouble, I will let you go down."
Yuling’s eyes were filled with disbelief, suddenly feeling that Qiann Yan was like a great demon, with innocent lives right before her, she remained so indifferent.
Is this still her eldest sister?
No, this wasn’t the gentle, doting oldest sister she knew.
How could her eldest sister be like this?
How could she watch the person she liked encounter trouble, and remain so unmoved?
Xuan Shuang let out a sigh of relief, as long as the eldest sister wasn’t soft-hearted.
Her face was a picture of indifference, having long since ceased to consider Yuling her sister.
Yuling couldn’t speak or move, and could only watch helplessly as a flying stone was dislodged from the mountain, crashing down towards Jiaang Zirong.
Jiaang Zirong seemed aware of it, he ran forward quickly, but still got hit on the back, his entire body was propelled forward.
As he hit the ground, he fell unconscious.
One of Jiaang Zirong’s soul fragments was knocked out, and that fragment, seemingly unaware, fled in panic.
Only then did Qiann Yan let Yuling down, and Yuling quickly dashed to where Jiaang Zirong lay unconscious.
"He only lost a part of his soul, he won’t die. It doesn’t make much difference to you." Qiann Yan’s cold voice came down.
Yuling was heartbroken. He wouldn’t die, but would become a fool.
She wanted to say something more, but Qiann Yan and Xuan Shuang had disappeared.
"Huh, eldest sister, where are you going?"
Qiann Yan and Xuan Shuang had only concealed themselves, not gone far.
Xuan Shuang looked on with curiosity as Qiann Yan floated towards the location of the flying stone. She had thought the stone was a bit unusual before.
The stone was pitch-black and exuded Demonic Qi. No wonder it could knock a person’s soul out of their body upon being dislodged, it was a Demon Stone.
"Eldest sister, this thing has Demonic Qi, it should be a Demon."
Qiann Yan stroked a side of the stone that was smooth as jade, while the other side was somewhat gritty. She weighed it in her hand; it had some heft, and the size was just right: "It’s quite useful for sharpening swords."
She took out a large sword, holding it with one hand and the stone with the other, intending to give it a try.
The large sword was rusted, and she wanted to try using a stone imbued with Demonic Qi to see if she could scrape off the rust.
"I am a Wan-year-old Demon Jade, how dare you use me to sharpen your sword! I am angry!"
"When I’m angry, I am very fearsome!"
Just as the sword was about to strike the stone, an irate youthful voice sounded: "I warn you, don’t be reckless."
Xuan Shuang was stunned: "Eldest sister, it’s an enchanted stone."
Qiann Yan put away the large sword, pinching the black stone in her hand, not expecting it to move: "Shameless, don’t touch me indiscriminately!"
