A long night passed.
Almark spent the night in an undisturbed position with his knees on the chair.
Wendy's calm sleep felt like her heart beating.
The door opened unexpectedly when the coldest hour had passed and the birds began to ring outside the window.
It's still here.
It was Wallis who came in with that.
After a glance at Wendy sleeping in bed, he looks at Almark's face.
"You look terrible."
Wallis said.
"I don't think you'll look like that just by staying up all night. I suppose you've been thinking about something boring anyway."
Without Almark answering, Wallis walked by the window and opened it wide open.
Cold winter air flows indoors.
"You're going to have to change your mind with the air."
"How did you know I was here?"
Wallis shrugs his shoulders when Almark pulls his head out of the blanket.
"Dr. Ilmis contacted me. Wendy is sick, resting in the infirmary, and you're accompanying her."
I see. Miss Ilmis. "
"Curime is rewriting the script right now."
Huh?
According to Wallis, Almark raised his face.
"Why?"
"Considering the likelihood that you and Wendy won't make it. If you don't answer, the story will have to fit."
I see.
Almark watches Wendy sleep.
I took it for granted that the play would come out.
But if Wendy doesn't wake up like this, why not?
"If that happens, it'll bother everyone."
"That's all I have to think about. [M] I'm not the one who hates to use my head for that."
Wallis said.
"I'll make sure the play falls anywhere."
Then he stares at Almark with his uncompromising expression.
"Listen. The only thing worthy of worrying about is being able to draw conclusions. There is no point in bothering your mind about how much trouble you've had and yet you haven't come to any conclusions. I can't keep worrying about that forever."
Wallis said Almark's last words.
It's what cowards do.
Wallis leaves the infirmary looking stunned at Almark.
"Use your limited brain to draw conclusions."
He finally said that with his back facing away and waved his hand.
"Almark, Wendy"
After Wallis left for a while.
Morgan jumped in with the stall food in his hands.
"I heard Wendy got sick. I think he ate something strange."
"Ah, Morgan. Good morning. No, it's not."
Almark hastily denies receiving the skewers pressed against Morgen.
"That's not what I meant. He's here."
"That guy?"
"Yes, the sorcerer who cursed my right hand."
Eh?
Morgan rounded his eyes.
Almark briefly explains to Morgan what happened yesterday.
"While I was walking around the stall, that happened."
Morgan shakes his head.
So Wendy was in the same condition as in that winter mansion.
Hmm.
Almark leans his neck.
"It's a little different. At that time, Wendy's strong will seemed to have unleashed her power. But yesterday I was obviously forced into that state."
I see.
Morgan nods with a difficult face.
Looking gently at Wendy's face, he looked back at Almark.
"Wendy's asleep."
"Yes, Miss Celia said you wouldn't have to worry."
"Good."
Morgan put food on the table.
"I'll leave it here, and when Wendy wakes up, you two can eat."
"Oh, thank you."
Bye.
Morgan waves his hand and walks toward the door.
Are you going now?
"I'm sorry. I'm busy getting ready for the play."
Morgan looked back and said sorry.
"The truth is, everyone else wanted to show their faces here. But if you leave, and Wallis suddenly thinks about a lot of changes, we have to hurry up the meeting and practice."
Oh, I see.
Almark nodded.
"I'm sorry. It's a nuisance."
"But I'll be waiting."
That's what Morgan said and laughed.
"I'll just get ready, but I know Almark and Wendy will be fine. Come with me."
As Almark raised his face, he unexpectedly confronted Morgan with a serious face.
"I want a lot of people to see Almark fight coolly on the stage. Make me proud that my friends are so cool."
Thank you, Morgan.
Almark nodded.
"I'll be there."
Morgan left the infirmary with a smile.
Somewhere far away, it sounded like a low earth sound.
You did it again?
From the open window, the voices of some teachers can be heard.
"Where are you this year?"
"Two years in middle school."
"Don't explode anywhere every year. This is why the Magic Festival is here."
Footsteps move away while saying such a thing in a hurry.
Wendy told me one day.
Almark remembers.
The magic festival is dangerous because magic runs wild, so the royal family won't come.
Wendy always told me when I was in trouble.
I thought Wendy would take care of everything.
That's for sure.
But that wasn't all, and Almark looked out the window.
Last night, I felt like I was alone with Wendy in the world, and I felt like there was no exit.
But when the morning came, Wallis opened the window.
And Morgan told me he was expecting them.
We're not alone.
There are a lot of people here.
Almark remembered it once again.
The wind coming in through the window was just as cold as the north-born Almark.
While watching Wendy's face as the wind blows, Almark fell asleep sometime.
When I opened my eyes, I saw Wendy's face in front of me.
Good morning, Almark.
Wendy said that and smiled.
Wendy apparently woke up a little earlier while Al Mark was in the air.
Wendy already got up from bed and sat next to Almark.
The sun outside the window was rising very high.
"It's getting late. I overslept."
Wendy said shy.
A little redness appeared on the face.
Almark just saw it and began to cry for some reason.
"Let's go, Almark. Our play is about to start."
Wendy stood up and took Almark's hand.
