Almark – Northern Sword, Southern Wand

(Nonsense) White Wolf Growl (Part 1)

It's been a while since Almark started traveling with a traveling entertainer, the White Wolf.

With each performance, Almark's performance grew.

The happiness, which was soft in the premiere and flew over the sky with the sword, was incorporated into the act as it was from the next, and became a classic performance to boil the audience.

Almark himself was studying the use of a new sword that was not a battle.

Instead of just cutting the thrown fruit, stick it or put it on your sword.

Hold two swords in both hands and try more flashy exercises.

Danny, the seat chair, narrowed his eyes and asked Almark if he would stay home any longer.

However, Almark never nodded when he was told he would double his salary, just laughing as if he were in trouble.

It was in a city where the deadline for joining Almark was approaching and the journey with the White Wolf was coming to an end.

The day also stopped the carriage in the corner of the city square, and the sitters had no spare time for each practice for the evening performance.

"Almark"

From behind the carriage, Margot asked for a little peek at his face.

"Come here."

Oh, that's fine.

When Almark answers and puts his martial arts sword in his sheath, he wipes his forehead sweat off his sleeve and turns to the back of the carriage.

Looking at Margot sitting on the ground, Almark smiled unintentionally.

"What's the matter, Margot? Will it open in the shop?"

As Al Marc said, Margot's business tools were lined up on a cloth spread out on the ground.

"No, it's not. You're not selling it."

That's what Margot says and encourages Almark to sit down.

"It's been raining lately, isn't it? Sometimes if I don't shine the sun on these kids, my magical powers will be broken."

"Oh, is that what this is about?"

That's what Almark said, and rarely gets one stone.

"This is the stone Margot always uses to make sparks in performances."

That's right.

Margot laughs and rips the stone out of Almark's hand, spreading sparks at Almark's nose.

Margot stood up when he saw Al Mark turn away and smile.

"Almark. I want you to look at these kids for a minute."

Are you going somewhere?

"At Renai's."

Margot gives the name of a young man who is a light worker.

"I have an act with Renai today. It's troublesome, but it's a meeting."

That's how you grab two stones from the top of the cloth.

I'll be right back.

"Okay."

Al Marc waved his hand and dropped off Margot, again looking at the magic tools on the cloth.

We've only performed together a few times and we know how most stones and rings work for Almark.

This is a sparking stone.

This is a stone that emits a strong light.

This ring emits a flame like a lamp.

This ring can make the birds ring.

Looking back at Margot as he remembered his movements, Margot did say that the dull rings and stone surfaces felt slightly smoother with the sunlight.

The light of the sun is the source of all life.

Especially in the precious and important north where the light is.

Thank Hardica, the god of heroes, for the universal illumination of the world in exchange for his life.

The story that magical instruments also need the sun's light to regain their magic falls into my heart because of Almark, born in the north.

The sun is great.

Recalling the northern winter cold, Almark appreciates the warm light that illuminates him now.

"... that?

There was a ring at the end of the cloth that I didn't remember seeing.

It is not made of metal like other rings.

A gray stone ring, as if it had been cut out of the stone.

"Stone rings."

Almark takes it gently.

The interior of the finger was polished and smooth, but the exterior was just a stripped stone without any decoration or workmanship.

"I've never seen Margot use anything like this."

So he said to himself, and made it clear to the sun, and the stone rings burst and trembled.

"Wow."

I accidentally dropped the ring.

Luckily it fell on the cloth so it didn't chip, but I didn't know what would have happened if it had fallen on another hard stone.

Watch out! Watch out!

Almark gently put the ring back where it belonged.

Grey stone ring.

It didn't feel very good.

Icka, a light worker, used to say that all of Margot's magic equipment was stolen when she ran away from the witch she had apprenticed.

Apprentice of the Witch.

Margot was a witch's apprentice.

Normally, everyone who does not become a magician must join a magician or witch as an apprentice and learn the magic from the magician.

Another way to learn magic is to learn it at the Nork Magic Academy, the world's only magic educational institution on Nork Island in the southern great Galai kingdom.

However, only forty children are allowed to enrol there every year. For most humans, that number was synonymous with zero.

Does Nork Magic Academy use such tools?

Almark saw the magic tools again.

To call them magical instruments, they smell too primitive.

And there's something wrong with the stone ring.

Almark touched one end of the world of magic that he was about to learn, and felt slightly confused.

The world of magic seems complicated.

It doesn't look like a sword to me.

I felt it didn't suit me, and Margot came back looking at the magic tools with a difficult face.

"What a tough face."

Margot smiled at Almark's face.

"What's wrong?"

Oh, no.

Almark raised his face and shook his head.

"It's okay. I've been watching."

"Yeah, it looks like nothing's gone."

Margot puts the two stones back on the cloth.

"Thank you. Thank you."

"Yeah."

Almark stood up and asked Margot what he was really worried about.

"Hey, Margot. I've never seen this stone ring before. What are you going to use it for?"

Margot's expression clouded the question.

"Oh, that's it."

Margot made a slightly stiff voice.

"Because it's something that can't be used in performances."

Hmm. Bye.

When Almark tried to ask again, he was suddenly hugged from behind.

"Almark. You were here."

I hear voices coming from above my head.

Ah, Ica-san.

Speaking of which, Almark had to make today's performance an icon. I completely forgot when I was distracted by magic tools.

"I'm sorry, Aika."

When Almark says so and leans in her arms, she hugs Almark with more and more strength.

"I told you to come back later because you have an act with me today. You forgot."

"I'm sorry, I didn't forget. I thought I'd go now."

"Bad excuses."

Icka plays Almark's nose with her fingers and then speaks to Margot.

"Margot, genius boy, I'll borrow the swordsman."

"Here you go. We're done here."

Margot drops his eyes on the cloth and waves his hand.

"Take your time."

"Come on, let's go. Almark"

"Yeah."

Walking alongside Aika, Almark looked back at Margot again.

Margot had one of the stones in his hand.

The stone ring on the edge of the cloth felt trembling again, and Almark felt a little anxious again.
