Chapter 869: Much Doubt (Sangen)

That's right, it's the ceiling of modern architecture.

A blonde in a white coat came together with some concern and said, "Are you okay? ”

Old Song sat up violently, breathing fresh air in his mouth like a drowning man.

Not Old Song, to be exact, but someone else.

At the moment of the scene, Old Song really had the illusion of whether he had crossed it or not, because everything around him was a modern scene, and the scene was very precise.

However, as he sat up and the vision of the game changed, Old Song realized what was going on.

Desmond in the white coat sat up from the animus machine, apparently he was the one who had manipulated Old Song before.

But why did it cross into modern times when it was clearly the Assassin's Creed? This is an extremely confusing question for Old Song.

Soon, however, the plot became clear.

Old Song played a role in the game called Desmond, while the two white coats in front of him belonged to Abstergo, kidnapped Desmond and was conducting an experiment.

On the face of it, Desmond is just a bartender, but in fact, he has the blood of an assassin, and these white coats need to go through the past with the genetic information on Desmond, back to his ancestors, and look for some information.

It is not, to be precise, a crossing, but a reproduction of the memory of our ancestors. The doctor in the white coat also deliberately gave Old Songkop an animus principle, reading genetic memory.

But most of our ancestors' memories are blocked and kicked out when Desmond enters "unprepared”. So Desmond can only unlock new memories and get the information he wants by entering from more stable memories and synchronizing them constantly.

Obviously, Desmond was kidnapped, he was just an ordinary man, and there was nothing he could do to get out of here, he had to get into animus.

Thereafter, it was a teaching session, the "Conscious Control System”.

Desmond enters animus to become the white assassin and learns assassination techniques, including diving, assassination, fighting, hiding, mixing with the crowd, and more.

All instruction takes place in the animus interface, which, although it looks hard, unexpectedly fits the plot with the addition of animus packaging. After all, Desmond is in a very similar state to Old Song and is “playing games”.

“So, no wonder there's a modern man in CG, that's the main character, right? ”

“Made a modern drama story for animus? Talk about it.”

“That explains the effects of the previous bugs, which were actually deliberately made due to the unstable condition of animus? ”

“Two stories, first Desmond, then Desmond, then the ancient assassin? Decent.”

Because Old Song was the first to play "Assassin's Creed: Origins", and Chen Jiao's version does not have a modern plot for the time being, after seeing the modern plot in "Assassin's Creed: Revelation", Old Song's first reaction was a bit obnoxious.

But when you think about it, it actually makes sense, and the obvious advantage is that you naturally articulate some of the basics of the game, such as what animus is, how it works, synchronization rate, consciousness operating instructions, and so on.

After completing the teaching of synchronization and consciousness control systems, Desmond re-entered the memory of his ancestors, which Old Song experienced as Desmond.

This is an assassin named Athel, the white assassin who appeared in the publicity CG.

In one of the earliest operations on the timeline of memory, Athel acted with two other assassins, but his actions were questioned by another because he killed an innocent man and exposed himself to the Templar Knight.

Athel has been emphasizing the assassin's creed: everything is false and everything is allowed, but another assassin has also argued: the assassin cannot kill innocents, cannot expose himself or endanger the Brotherhood, but it is clear that Athel does not listen.

Ultimately, because of Athel's recklessness, this operation failed. In addition, the Knights of the Temple chased Masyaf, the headquarters of the Assassins' organization, into a mixed war. Although the assassins eventually won, the assassin mentor could not tolerate Athel's behavior and stabbed him hard with a dagger.

This is the first chapter of an ancient drama, and it's equivalent to a teaching chapter.

In addition to familiarizing the players with the operation, this first scene directly raises a key question.

What exactly is the Assassin's Creed?

In the promotion of CG, the answer was already given, "Everything is empty, everything is allowed." But if anything can be done, why was the mentor so angry when Athel killed the innocent old man?

Obviously, when many players first heard the phrase "everything is vain and everything is allowed”, they had the same misunderstandings as Athel, thinking that the assassin's rule was that they could do whatever they wanted.

But in the first act, the plot directly denies the idea, which is tantamount to using the actual actions of the character in the plot to prove the misconception.

Thereafter, modern and ancient drama staggered forward.

Desmond found himself involved in a conspiracy that had originally been part of the Modern Assassin Organization, living on a "farm", but he was tired of living in isolation, so he escaped until he was found by Abstergo because of his motorcycle license.

Desmond thinks it's impossible. Abstergo was a pharmaceutical company. How could he have found it on a motorcycle license and kidnapped him?

Obviously, this Abstergo company is definitely not as simple as it seems.

……

Athel didn't die, and the mentor gave him a chance to reborn.

Athel wondered, “Isn't the assassin's creed that everything is false and everything is allowed? ”

The mentor resented: "You don't understand the true meaning of this, son! It is not empowering you to act at will; it is knowledge and a guide to reason. ”

The mentor deprived Athel of his identity and equipment and rejoined the assassin organization as a newcomer, starting from scratch.

In Masyaf, Athel was instructed to investigate the traitors, and after completing his mission, the assassin mentor gave him a list with nine names, all of them Templar Knights. Athel must assassinate these nine men and complete the mentor's assignment.

Old Song wasn't in a hurry to push the plot forward, but took a good look at the scenery inside Masyav first.

Teacher's room, high ground of faith, surrounding villages...

Masyav continues the high standards of Assassin's Creed: Origins, where people are busy with their own business in the villages at the foot of the mountain, and the assassins leave Masyav to carry out their missions everywhere.

Everything is so real, just like history has ever existed.

Old Song was a little confused, and obviously the story in the plot CG should have happened in Masyav, where the middle-aged and elderly assassin jumped off the high ground, obviously, where Athel took a leap of faith.

But why was Masyaf, then, occupied by a group of Templar knights?

Or is it really, like some people say, happening on different timelines?
