Chapter 1527: The Gift Delivered
Today Su Li and Old Seven registered their marriage certificate; all of his delusions could finally come to an end today.
His mind was crystal clear, yet he stood there in a daze, not knowing how to move.
"Fourth Brother! Fourth Brother, you finally came out." From a distance, a black sedan stopped, and a pretty girl got out and in the blink of an eye ran up to him.
Feng Ciye smoothed the expression from his face and looked at her with indifference. "Miss Chen Yu? What are you doing here?"
Ling Chenyu had never been this happy; she said in rapid succession, "I know, today is Su Li’s twentieth birthday, and she and Feng Huaijin registered their marriage! Fourth Brother, from now on you shouldn’t think about her anymore. You still have me!"
Ling Chenyu absolutely loathed Su Li, yet in this moment she was extremely pleased!
Su Li registering her marriage cut off all of Feng Ciye’s hopes.
Thank God.
Feng Ciye slanted a look at her, then lifted his legs and walked forward, and Ling Chenyu followed closely step for step.
"Miss Ling, do you still remember what it was like the first time you and I met?"
The excitement on Ling Chenyu’s face vanished without a trace; she looked at Feng Ciye, deeply embarrassed, and stammered, "That was so long ago... I... I’ve long forgotten."
Feng Ciye’s voice was clear and mellow. "But I’ve always remembered."
The eldest young lady of the Ling Family of Jiangzhou Prefecture, Ling Chenyu, traveled north to An City to come to the Feng Family and have a blind date with the legitimate son, Seventh Young Master.
Back then she was still rebellious, arrogant and proud, raised since childhood as the center of attention. How could she ever have been subjected to the kind of flat politeness from Feng Ciye that held not the slightest hint of flattery?
Ignoring Feng Ciye’s refusal, she went straight to the Feng Family and said she had taken a fancy to the Feng Family’s Fourth Young Master.
She had watched Feng Ciye kneel in the Feng Family’s ancestral hall and had mocked him, saying, "I am the eldest young lady of the Ling Family. Getting engaged to an illegitimate child like you is me giving you face! If not for that, you wouldn’t even be worthy to carry my shoes."
The more it was something he didn’t want, the more she insisted on doing it.
Ling Chenyu immediately said, "That was all in the past. I was still young back then. Fourth Brother, why are you still being so petty about it?"
Feng Ciye suddenly turned his head, his gaze icy cold. "What’s been done can never be erased."
Su Li was the light he believed in during the first half of his life; even if that light has gone out, in his memories it is still warm.

And those things that make him sick also remain in his memories, impossible to uproot.
Maybe in the Future he will find another girl he likes, but—she definitely won’t be Ling Chenyu.
After speaking, Feng Ciye opened the door of his own private car, got in, and drove off.
Ling Chenyu stared fixedly in the direction Feng Ciye had left, so furious that her hands clenched together, her knuckles turning white.
Even if Su Li is married, will Fourth Brother still remember her goodness forever, and remember her cruelty forever?
Because Su Li had been that damned comparison when they were young, how could Fourth Brother possibly forgive her?
Ling Chenyu twisted her head around, her gaze taking on a hint of venom as she looked toward the Feng Family Villa. Suddenly she let out a cold snort through her nose and muttered to herself, "We’ll see about that."

The twentieth-birthday lunch had Su Li smiling so much that her cheeks were about to ache.
Su Li couldn’t drink because she was pregnant, and Feng Huaijin was allergic to alcohol so he couldn’t drink either, while everyone else had more or less had some to drink and were now drunk enough that the servants were helping them to guest rooms to rest.
Su Li wasn’t the least bit sleepy; she and Feng Huaijin were going through and counting all the gifts everyone had brought, opening so many presents her hands were going numb.
"This... what’s this?" Su Li was sweating from all the unwrapping when she suddenly saw a pretty little box.
She turned it over and took a look, froze for a moment, and murmured:
"It’s from Brother Hao, Mo Si Huang’s agent..."
