Chapter 1459 - 6: The Mystery Within the Stone_2
"Interesting?" the Princess asked with a frown.
"I’m not sure, but this records a kind of script. After consulting literature, I found them to be very similar to an ancient script of the Cruz people." The Elf Lady held her right hand in a virtual position, and suddenly a wind rose in the hall—people believe that elves are Innate Elemental Mages, and in fact, they indeed have outstanding Talent in this respect. Just like now, the wind that arose from nowhere swept up some papers from a nearby desk, swirling them to Princess Griffine and gently landing them in her hand.
Princess Griffine bowed her head to look, only to find that the papers were all notes. Although she couldn’t quite understand them, she could tell that all the content was about interpreting a certain script.
She couldn’t help but raise her head and look at Brand with a questioning gaze.
"This is the Jialongji Ancient Language," Brand replied.
"Huh?"
Tania across the room suddenly looked up, scrutinizing Brand as if evaluating a rare treasure. "Darus was a fool, yet it’s surprising his descendant is exceptional; you’re much smarter than your grandfather, little one."
"It’s not cleverness, just knowledge, madam," Brand replied irritably.
"Almost, in my view knowledge is also a part of wisdom. Why are mortals mostly oblivious? Because they cannot see through their own Destiny. Only those who hold true wisdom can grasp their Destiny, do you agree, little one?" Tania asked, raising her head. Though she stood on a box not reaching as tall as Brand’s shoulders, her words carried an undisputed force.
This kind of force, mortals can only see in the proud Wizards. Though Wizards wield the Strength of Magic, their reverence for the Strength of wisdom is even greater.
Knowledge changes Destiny, this is the inscription at the Silver Tower.
Brand more or less confirmed the identity of the opposite party.
The Princess was still flipping through those notes. Although she couldn’t fully understand, it didn’t hinder her intellect in grasping the meaning, she asked, "Do these characters have a connection with the Sky Blue Spear, did this tribe of the Cruz people ever hold the Sky Blue Spear?"
"No," Brand shook his head, "the Jialongji Clan has no relation to the Sky Blue Spear, but the documents recorded in these Stone Tablets, with similar language, do have a connection to the Sky Blue Spear."
"These are not Stone Tablets," the Elf Lady reminded from the side, flicking the metal disks and producing a ringing sound.
But Brand ignored her, continuing, "This records the Cruz people’s Ancient epic poem, the Poem of the Blue’s language."
With a ’whoosh,’ the manuscripts in the Princess’s hand all fell to the ground.
Tania’s action also froze there.
In the vast Earth of Vorn and the long river of history, the legend of the Cruz people’s Poem of the Blue has been known among the people for God knows how long. No one has even seen the text of this magnificent epic poem, legend has it that it was once recorded on a Stele, later scattered across Tolad, Holy White Prairie, and Huo Man, eventually only fragments of history remained.
In the Dark ages, Ancestors pieced together those fragmented histories, carrying them across the wilderness. This was the first history of civilization, after which the book was stored in the Flame Temple’s library hall, though reportedly a third drifted into Bujia’s Silver Wizard’s hands.
But these are merely imitations made by Ancestors.
The true Poem of the Blue—without beginning or end, it starts at the beginning of the cosmos and ends at the World’s demise. It records all the secrets of the Mortal World, what Black Iron, Gold, and Silver People can understand from it is but a fraction.
"You say this is the original text of the Poem of the Blue?" the Elf Lady jumped up from the box as if pricked by a needle. But she soon calmed down, doubtfully looking at Brand, "How do you know?"
"Of course I know," Brand replied, "Stam ti or osa—in the earliest times, Magic was inherent in runes. The earliest scripts all arose from it, even today witches believe in the existence of Magic in language, they call it Word Spirit."
"Jialongji Ancient Language is merely a derivative of primitive scripts, in fact, early literature records all this."
In the Mortal World, only ten people could probably speak such words. Especially the beginning of those rune characters, being true Original Runes, when Brand pronounced them there was no Magic vibration but Tania on the side understood clearly.
She suddenly had no doubts, her eyes lighting up like a cat that had found a Rat, she flew forward grabbing Brand’s collar, exclaiming, "How do you know this, from where did you read such documentation? Did you find the historical records before the era of vanished radiance?"
Brand almost choked to death. He quickly pushed this Elf Lady away. Actually, he knew this was likely the result he’d encounter before speaking, not to mention this Elf Lady, even Turaman would jump in excitement here.
Back then in Brags, he merely told Turaman a primitive rune, Turaman had already been too excited to contain himself, let alone now when it’s a complete sentence.
But his actions were with his own intentions.
He adjusted his collar, first giving the Princess a reassuring glance. The Princess was already dumbfounded; she didn’t understand the World of Wizards, but she also knew Brand probably held some astonishing secret. Not to mention the mere part about the Poem of the Blue was already startling.
She saw Brand nod at her and only then relaxed and picked up the manuscripts from the ground.
Brand then turned, "Aunt Tania, of course, I did not find historical records before the era of vanished radiance, you know that’s impossible. But regarding Original Runes, I happened to have done some research."
"Just some research." Tania snorted lightly, "In the entire Silver Alliance, only fewer than ten people are qualified to say such a thing. You’ve told me so much; obviously, you want to make a deal with me, right?"
This is what’s called Wizard’s ingenuity.
Brand nodded. "Aunt Tania, may I ask, did you discover these Stone Tablets in the Hu Si Relics on the Golden Birdflower Plateau?"
"Hu Si Relics? No, that place is yet unnamed, but we found some ancient artifacts about the Saint War Era there. There’s a huge palace."
Indeed, it’s the Hu Si Relics.
Brand understood, this means the Stone Tablets in Tania’s hands are the first batch of Earth Tablets unearthed in history. But why are they much earlier than the recorded excavation time, or does it mean after being unearthed, they went through a long time before people discovered their value?
Brand leaned towards the latter possibility.
But this is trivial.
He pondered a bit, then asked, "Aunt Tania, do you truly wish to find the Sky Blue Spear?"
"Brand!" the Princess suddenly stood up.
