Chapter 1377 - 354: Requiem IV_3
"Crystal clusters, what are they?" Romantic asked curiously.
At this moment, several crystal clusters had already approached the surface, displaying fierce and murderous tendencies. Many cave dwellers had fallen victim to their claws and teeth. What was spine-chilling, however, was that they seemed not to be killing the cave dwellers for food. These crystal clusters merely slaughtered the cave dwellers and tossed their corpses aside, as if trained professionally or driven by repetitive experience.
On the ground, Lady Medusa Laismekka finally noticed these uninvited guests. "Are they guardians?" she muttered, casually tossing aside the fortunate cave dweller in her hand, sending it to the bottom of the pit.
She drew a short bow from her waist, aimed at the crystal clusters, and shot them back one by one. The battle prowess displayed by the crystal clusters was formidable, roughly at the Gold Initial stage. The cave dwellers were no match for them. Upon testing them, Laismekka realized she was facing a tricky opponent.
"Crystal clusters are just crystal clusters, let’s continue to see more." At the bottom of the pit, White Mist was answering Romantic’s questions in her unique way.
"Will they kill Romantic?" Romantic asked, a bit nervously.
"No, not with me here," White Mist answered simply.
The Merchant Lady then nodded slightly, leaping down steadily to the other side of the pit. Only at this moment did the two ’people’ realize how deep the pit was—the bottom had been dug through, revealing artificial traces below. It was likely a ruins, with many holes leading into the gaping underground blackness.
The two of them chose an entrance at random and entered. At that moment, there were no cave dwellers in the ruins and no new crystal clusters to be seen, leaving only the sound of rain and water, making the place seem somewhat desolate. In fact, after entering the depths of the ruins, the sound of the rain gradually diminished, and in the darkness, a silhouette of an enormous existence began to emerge.
"Ah!" White Mist exclaimed again in surprise.
"What’s wrong?"
Romantic quickly leaped forward, raising her head in curiosity. She saw that the massive silhouette was gradually becoming clear in her view, sketching out the shape of a head—to be precise, a part of a huge statue. Or, as Romantic understood it, it was like one of Fir Castle’s marble statues magnified a thousand times.
However, the facial lines of the statue were extremely rugged, looking unlike modern humans, resembling more a creation of races other than humans. But Romantic took a look and found it had neither a big beard nor pointed ears. Not a Dwarf, nor an Elf, she assessed knowledgeably.
"What is this, White Mist?"
"...Titan Statue, I never expected it to be here... I never expected it to be here..." White Mist mumbled to herself. If she could widen her eyes, this lethargic woman would certainly have done so to the maximum.

Brand inclined his ear to listen, the rustling sounds in the dark were getting closer. However, it was certainly not the noise made by the Spider Mother, as it would never create such a loud disturbance—the Spider Mother, despite being a giant creature, moved very lightly, a lurking predator.
Recalling his past adventures, Brand remembered vividly.
Everyone halted. The knights placed their hands on their swords, though they did not draw them, a technique learned from Brand. In some situations, drawing the sword first does not grant the upper hand, rather it exposes one’s position to the opponent, especially when facing an unknown enemy.
Brand was very satisfied with the action of the others, as he was the first to spot the sudden uninvited guests.
The first to appear in the darkness was a floating Glow, as if refracting the dim light from the Lighting Crystal in his hand. Then he saw clearly what it was—a creature composed of crystals, undoubtedly in the shape of spiders.
But they were no longer spiders.
"Crystal clusters?" Brand was slightly stunned. How could there be such things here? This instance shouldn’t have these monsters, much less should any creature from the Amber Room appear in a location without a reason. Just like the Wind Element under Mar Highlands, they would never visit without purpose.
Crystal clusters as monsters were very unusual; Brand had only seen them in a handful of places, and their numbers were small each time.
A multitude of thoughts flashed through his mind in an instant. Yet, his reaction was swift; he sunk his weight as the Earth Sword materialized in his hand.
"Prepare for battle!" The Princess whispered behind him. In unison, the knights drew their Longswords.
