The young General Stars who would become Erune’s most renowned figures in the future surrounded him; they once truly changed an era, pulling Erune from the abyss of its darkest history. Although it was brief, they were indeed heroes of their time.

Though Erune was defeated, it was not due to the failures of war.

This time, however, their opponent was truly courting disaster.

Perhaps the opposing general would never imagine how the presence of players would change the speed at which wars unfolded on the Vornede Continent in the coming century. It was a dark, war-torn era, yet undeniably a time upheld by genius and insane ideals—a magnificent era.

What is always right now may not necessarily apply to the future.

"Loka, Enrock, Frey, Breson, Mou Ke, the enemy wants to use street fighting to stall us," Brand looked at the battlefield ahead and smiled lightly, "They want to turn this place into a flesh-and-blood mill, surely none of you fell asleep in the tactics class, right?"

Mou Ke stared at him somewhat coldly. The previous orders hadn’t been wrong, yet they weren’t particularly remarkable either, at most just decent. If they were the ones giving them, perhaps they could do better.

Breson also didn’t respond, as the changes in Brand were too significant for him. In fact, since their escape from Buqi began, the other party had been undergoing a transformation. Though he had resisted acknowledging it, he had to admit that the young man before him was no longer the mill master’s son he once looked down upon.

Yet, even though the grievances between the two had been resolved, it didn’t mean he would stand on his side.

Among the four, only Loka van den Elvis smiled slightly, seemingly unconcerned. This young man in the black military uniform of the Royal Knight Academy, with his light-golden long hair tied in a ponytail, appeared a bit shy, as if he hadn’t fully shed the marks left on his batch by the Royal Knight Academy, slightly naive yet possessing the budding calmness of a famed general.

In history, he had always been the leader of the three prodigies. Loka van den Elvis was the eldest son in his family, his father a nameless minor noble in the Viero Province, a family which had never produced any big figures, but Loka was undoubtedly an exception.

Historically, Loka van den Elvis alone toyed with the Sipah army at his whims and was known for his gentle nature as the ’unsheathed sharp sword’—metaphorically meaning that once his edge was exposed, he would undoubtedly proceed forward unimpeded and invincible.

Unfortunately, this unsheathed sharp sword died of illness during the expedition to the North before he had the chance to unsheathe, and didn’t even get to participate in the second Black Rose War.

This was one of Erune’s greatest regrets.

Of course, this time Brand was determined not to let such regret repeat. His reason for gathering these young people around him was to prevent them from dying by accident in this Ambeser war, like Enrock among the three, who died from arrows.

However, without undergoing hardships, a sharp treasure sword cannot be forged.

Brand knew this as well, so he could only take as many precautions as possible.

"Lord, this is troublesome. The Harbor Guard itself has more troops than us and has the advantage of terrain. If they are determined to engage us in street fighting, it might be tough for us to handle," Enrock, riding on horseback with his shiny black hair, replied with a grin.

This guy somewhat resembled Caglis at this moment, a stark contrast to his later silent disposition; he had a good relationship with Loka, even once referring to each other as brothers, undoubtedly changed under the double blow of the kingdom’s decline and Loka’s death. Brand thought with a bit of sympathy.

"That might not be the case." He laughed, "Did you forget that today I was invited by the Princess to give you a lesson? It’s quite simple, really, to defeat the Harbor Guard as we did to Luo Du."

"Boasting." Mou Ke concluded bluntly.

"Haha, that might not be so," Brand laughed heartily, "Mou Ke, how about we make a bet? If I can actually pull it off, would you do something for me?"

The gray-haired young man looked at him, "What thing?"

"Become my attendant, how about that?" Brand couldn’t help but smile with a bit of bad intent in his heart, thinking about having the future iron-faced Knight Captain as his attendant. He remembered quite well the troubles this guy had caused them players in the past.
