American Fortune Life

Chapter 6 Loans and Equities

Andy sat in a lounge chair and smiled at the cell phone he was playing with. Andy really hated his agent, especially for the past six months. Carl talked so much about persuading him to do his job, which made Andy so proud that he was young and insane that he couldn't understand his agent's intentions.

Now Andy kind of likes this filthy fat guy. In this world where money comes first, it's really not easy to see a bit of manhood from Carl. Especially in a broker's profession. It's really milk and mother, money and grandpa. You don't talk, spend your money, play with your wife, do anything.

But thinking about Carl's little secretary, Andy was worried for a while that woman wasn't a fuel-efficient light, and this is Hollywood, and everyone who came here was a thoughtful climber, and this famous venue was a battlefield where people stepped on people, people ate people, and the weak didn't deserve success.

Fat bastards don't listen to advice, sooner or later they'll have to plant their heads together! Standing up, he stretched his lazy waist, drove his mess away, and took the coffee cup from the table and walked into the house.

Came into the study with the freshly brewed coffee, sat in front of the computer, looked at the text in the document, moved his fingers, and continued to tap the keyboard.

Through the floor-to-ceiling windows, watching the rain fall from the sunken sky, hitting the glass and splashing water.

Andy looked at the time, it was after 9: 00, and the time he had agreed with the bank was almost ready to go. I tidied myself up a little bit and walked into the garage with the keys.

Andy came to Bank of America, Los Angeles, with splashes of rain and the roar of a sports car.

Walking into the lobby, lawyer Nelson and accountant Kohler are already waiting in the lobby's sofa area.

When Andy came to them, they both stood up and greeted each other. Andy stepped in front of them and said hello to both of them, "Damn the weather, am I late? ”

“Oh, boss, plenty of time.” Clever accountant Kohler, in his thirties, was introduced to him by Nelson when Andy first arrived in Los Angeles, very professional.

The three of them sat down and chatted, and Nelson took a bunch of papers out of his bag and handed them to Andy, "These are asset valuations and copyright valuations, boss. Take a look. ”

After taking the file, Andy went through it, “How much can we get out of the bank loan? ”

“This is a hot time for real estate, high house prices, boss, your house is valued at about 4 million now, and the copyright assessment of two of your works is due to the fact that you were selected in the youth book catalogue some time ago, and you can now lend $200-30 million even if one of the movie adaptations has been sold.” Kohler's steady face tells Andy it's just an enviable glow that gleams from time to time in his eyes.

“Oh," Andy said, closing the file and handing it back to Nelson. "How's the loan rate? ”

Kohler hastened to come up with a form, "This is the loan rate table for all banks that accept copyright loans, with the lowest interest on loans from American banks, but the amount of mortgage loans needs to be talked about. ”

“Well, professional matters are left to professional people, and I believe in your abilities.” Andy glanced at the form and smiled and gave it back to Kohler.

Nelson looked at the time, and Andy hinted, and the three of them got up and went to the account manager's office.

The bank's credit account manager is a man of about fifty years old, with a strong suit, a meticulous hair comb, a very skilful appearance, a smiley face on his face and a very gentle appearance.

When Andy came in, he smiled and stood up to greet him. “Boss, this is Mr. Lewis, Credit Account Manager at Bank of America, and Mr. Lewis, this is my boss Andy. Smith. Kohler introduced. ”

When Lewis heard it, the smile on his face shook Andy's hand more brilliantly and said, "Good to see you, Mr. Smith. I love your work. ”

Andy also shook his hand with a smile and said, "Thank you. It's also an honor to meet you. ”

They let go, chilled out a few words, and when both sides sat down, Andy said, "Mr. Lewis, I'm sure Kohler has already talked to you about a specific loan project. I wonder how much money your bank can lend me? ”

Lewis took over the asset appraisal documents that Kohler handed him, and there was nothing unexpected about Andy's simple, straightforward business, but he valued the security and stability of both the mortgage and the copyright.

“Mr. Smith, our bank repayment interest is minimal, and believe me, we loaned it to you in good faith. This is our report, please take a look.” Lewis took out a pile of documents and handed them to Andy and started explaining them.

Upon hearing their terms, Andy quietly discussed the details with Nelson and Kohler, then fought for them again, and quickly reached an agreement. All the legal instruments and some rules, Nelson and Kohler began to look at them, both looking at the documents, and in a short time they weren't so good.

Andy waited patiently, drank the coffee in the cup, and slowly thought about it. Now Apple stock is a little over 51 yuan, we can't wait any longer. This time we can lend a total of $6 million plus $2 million in savings, we can only get so much ourselves. Unless we ask Grandpa, who is a famous California farmer, now Andy needs cash, think about the trouble that follows, explanations, forget it.

There's not a lot, there's a lot of money to make. It's just digging up the first barrel of gold anyway, and the chances of getting rich are too much.

After more than half an hour, Andy started to get busy, sign a document, and mortgage three assets.

Six million dollars went into Andy's account, then the two sides chatted a few words and went away. Lewis did leave a phone call with Andy. Lewis still appreciated the young writer. After all, it was no harm to know one more friend, right?

Out of the U.S. bank building, the rain had stopped outside, and after saying goodbye to Nelson, Andy opened a stock account, tied up a bank card, and went home to download the stock software and transfer all the money into the stock account.

“Boss, do you want to buy stock for $8 million?” Kohler asked after a moment of hesitation, revealing his doubts.

Andy smiled a mysterious smile, looked at the slightly awkward accountant, nodded, didn't explain much. In Kohler's explanation, he was familiar with the operation of the stock transfer, looked at Kohler full of suspicion and left with a hint of irony, closed the door, Andy hummed softly, it seemed I needed a new financial advisor!

The corner of Kohler's mouth in the car with a scornful smile. "What a loser! I thought I was a genius. I know everything! There are times when you cry.” Maliciously looking out the window at the luxury villa with jealous eyes, the ghost picks up the phone.

“Hello, is that Mr. Nelson? I'm Kohler. ”

“Hi, Kohler. How can I help you?” Nelson put down the paperwork in his hand and adjusted his comfortable sitting posture, and he took great care of his college classmate's son.

“Sir, you know, Mr. Smith transferred all the money into the stock market. But he had no access to the stock, and the stock software was the way I had just handed it over to him, and he refused to help me. I'm afraid he'll end up dead.” Kohler said in a tone of bliss.

“Hmm? Into the stock market?” Nielsen was slightly stunned and somewhat surprised to say, but quickly reacted, hearing the sarcasm for Andy in Kohler's tone, frowning, seemed to have guessed Kohler's psyche, revealing a slight smile, "Oh, whatever the situation, it was a customer's choice, we could do our job properly, well, if nothing happened, I still have one to drive, say hello to your father for me. ”

Hearing the busy tone of the opposite phone and Nielsen's cold tone, Kohler couldn't help but stare at the phone in his hand and become angry and ruthless. "Wipe, you can't help but teach me, Beech! ”

Nelson hung up, walked back and forth in the office, frowned, worried, and finally picked up his phone.

“Hello, is that Mr. Smith? I'm Nelson, and I'd like to talk to you about Andy Smith... ”
